  I have a Toshiba QOSMIO X 500 - 10W PQX33E-00R00CIT.

  I agree with the user above. The user manual you can find on your computer because it s preinstalled.

  The webcam, you can use with programs like Skype communication. You can make a video call with friends and they see the webcam image. ;)

• T430 Webcam stops working after sleep

  I have a T430 with Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 and a built-in webcam. All current Lenovo drivers/software packages are installed. The webcam works fine until I put the computer to sleep. After he falls asleep, the only way to get the webcam to work again is to reboot. When I try the webcam software "Lenovo - Web Conferencing", I get "the camera is used by another application.   Looks like what happened. I think that the pilot of the T430 series they Lenovo has for the built-in camera is not compatible with Windows 7 (even though it says it is).

  Of my other post: I had to remove the device through Device Manager, while checking the box that says "uninstall driver" and then reboot and let windows automatically installs a driver for the camera. I currently have no problem, and I use the version of the driver camera of Microsoft 6.1.7601.18208 (as dated 21/06/2006). I still have the characteristics of the virtual camera to the ThinkVantage Communications utility. So far no problem. I am running Windows 7, 64 bit.

  (PS: I use actually the factory driver now, after running the restore disks. My driver now says: Ricoh, 16/02/2012, special 1.2.1.16).

When I use Skype, the only thing that appears on the video configuration is SOURCE of POS and the message "it is not possible to start the video. try closing other programs in use", but there is no other program using the webcam.   Hi, I've had a Pavilion dv7-6052ea for a few months now and the built in 'Truevision HD' webcam never worked so I thought I should do something!  OS is Windows 7 64 bit.

  When I open Youcam3, I get the warning message, next.  Warning - no webcam detected, try to connect a webcam to your computer now.  If you use a built-in camera, make sure it's on. »

  The checking Device Manager there is no entry 'device of image.  The 'virtual Webcam Cyberlink pilot' appears under sound, video and game controllers.

  Would be grateful for any help - especially since my wife was not treated well by HP customer care a few days back...

  1. what operating system is installed on your new computer"? XP, Vista or Windows 7?
  2 do you see anything unusual (yellow bang) in Device Manager?

  Assuming you are using XP (because the thread is in the XP category), I suggest you follow the steps below.

  Step 1: Use Device Manager to find the hardware changes
  Use Device Manager to find the hardware changes. After your computer search the hardware changes, it can recognize the USB device connected to the USB port so that you can use the device.

  To check the hardware changes, follow these steps:

  a. Click Start and then click Run.
  Note If you are running Windows Vista, click Start and then use the search box.
  b. type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK. Device Manager opens.
  (c) in Device Manager, click on your computer so that it appears highlighted.
  d. click Action and then click Scan for hardware changes.
  e. check the USB device to see if it works.

  Step 2: Remove and reinstall all USB controllers

  To remove and reinstall all USB controllers, follow these steps:

  a. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box and then click OK.
  b. click on the Hardware tab.
  c. click the Device Manager button.
  d. expand Bus USB controllers.
  e. right click on each device under the Bus USB controllers node and then click on uninstall to remove them one at a time.
  f. restart the computer and reinstall the USB controllers.
  g. plug in the removable USB storage device and perform a test to ensure that the problem is solved.

  hardware problem.

  You must have installed a Windows 7 64-bit driver (if it exists)
  for this. Do you have? Otherwise, navigate to the web site of the camera
  manufacturer, search, download and install it.
