  Since I have updated iPad Mini 2 (32 gb, wifi) to IOS 9.3.1 Safari was incredibly slow to open Web pages or it times out and does not open them at all. I tested my router and did a speed test and it works correctly.  I spoke with Apple Support and they had me perform a recovery to pre - 9.3.1 and then a reinstall of the 9.3.1 (which took about 12 hours), but I still have the same problem.  I tried to turn off and then iPad by restarting but no improvement.  I have a lot of memory, to the left, so it can't be the problem.  Any ideas for other things to try?  Everything else works fine.  I hope that it is not time to buy a new iPad.  All useful ideas appreciated.

• 12 Firefox became the slowest browser for the loading of web pages. Is there a solution?

  I've been using Firefox as my default browser for years. However, beginning with FF11 and continues with FF12, it became so slow to load web pages that it has become practically unusable. IE, Opera, and Chrome are all must faster. If someone knows a solution, I'd love to hear about it.

  I live in rural Texas and it is true that my ISP is not the fastest 'high speed' in the world - 1, 5 - 2.0mbps, but other browsers can handle this OK. No Firefox.

  I tried to disable ALL add and extensions. I got FF up to bare bones - without tab, no whistles or bells - and yet it's very slow. I've already replaced my router - no help. I tried to empty the memory cache, settings, same run the «Speed Up My Firefox» software Nothing seems to help.

  It is clearly a problem of Firefox. I'd like to go back to Firefox, but I don't have the patience to wait while he takes his own load time of web pages.

  I edited this post to remove some questionable information and keep only what I know works for me.

  The setting network.http.keep - alive false seems to provide the greatest improvement, but I think that setting network.http... Max-connections to 64 maybe helped a little in my case, since I have a slow connection 'broadband '.

  I also reinstalled FF12 with these changes, and the problem seems to be resolved.

  For now, this seems to have solved my problems. If things start going downhill, I will return.

• I downloaded the latest version of Firefox 13 and all Web pages are displayed wrong

  I downloaded the latest version of Firefox 13 after having quickly that I didn't have the latest version of Firefox. No Web page seems correct, including this one. All Web pages are displayed "plain." For example when I type in retail right now it takes a box or something to show me where to put space details - no box - only. I use Google as my home page. The Firefox logo was on the Google home page, but it is absent. When I go to Google Mail there is no checkboxes delete mail etc... when I go to the same pages using Internet Explorer pages display correctly if something's not on Firefox. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox without deleting my personal settings etc, but this made no difference. If my only option is to delete all my info I should do, but have been on Firefox and really don't want to lose this info. I checked all the settings when I looked not all Web pages display correctly in HELP and all settings are correct. What should I do? I don't want to go back to using IE, but that's basically what I have to do right now to the function to make banking operations etc...

• A updated Windows caused inconsistent Web Page loading

  I have this problem have fought for about 7 months and feel now that this question may have some merit. On November of last year, I noticed that one of my records came to a point that a session on the internet would have on the same sequence of events on my ISP, different from search engines email account or another web browser outside of the Internet Explorer that I always used: web pages load normally for a period of shooting then the Green loading bar at the bottom of the page shows 50% completion & load entirely web page, then to the same bar of fine corresponding to 100%, but the web page is empty. At this point, I may be able to close the web page, but more often otherwise I have to use the Task Manager to end the session. Even after this point I couldn't access the internet unless the system has rebooted. I thought that not much in light of 6 years + of very intensive use, it was time to do a new install & really cut the number of programs installed and fragmented garbage.

  The drive was wiped cleaned before anything was started. A firewall & antivirus updated were in place before any connection to the internet. All XP critical and recommended updates loaded first thing and installed. Minimal programs have been installed. DSL result same slowness.

  I spent hours with my ISP support for any solution. My older router was suspected, so a newer version has been purchased. No change.

  Then, my wife made a comment that its XP disc that she uses only for the printer on my desktop still works very well. I now widely used and it is not a fake. Wipe the disc again and done the same installation of all windows, as before, but duplicate updates install it software she has: no change. The only difference with his, is that no Windows Update were conducted on it for some time, as he was very low on disk space.

  As it became very obvious that I was not to get more answers to my question, I found the solution through another forum by examining the response to slow down the loading of the web page. Log in Mode safe mode with networking privileges. Things will appear somewhat sluggish clicking around but that's ok. Begin to surf the internet. All my symptoms went away. In this case, Internet Explorer settings need to be reset & can be done using the Microsoft FIX - IT Site, charging to @ http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 .   Are you referring to open site / Web page as a download web page? in any case, try to scan your system with malware removal tool - click Start-> Run Type & -> mrt-> ok.

  Also consider analysis system using Spybot - www.safer-networking.org

  Check your 'host' file located at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc - open with notepad and last line should read:

  127.0.0.1 localhost

  There should be no entry on this file. All the 127.0.0.1 lines prerequisites should be marked #.

  If you have IP entries with any host name, delete all those.

  I am writing a small site for a friend and his band.  He has no knowledge of computing either.

  I wrote the skeleton of a page so that it can add a place, date and time of when the band will play next.  He does this by creating and downloading a file of text of the word indicating, for example. "June 11, 2015 at the cellar Bar.  On the Strip at 21:00.

  Is it this registers in a .txt of the Word file and then download it on the server, I want to add a line to the web page that calls the .txt page text and displays it on the Web page.

  I am new to Dreamweaver 8, but used GoLive. I used the find/replace links, when the menu goes from showing the Design view displays only the Code view. Then, of course, I screwed up. I tried to create a new web site, after an hour, frustrating to try to solve the problem without success.
  
  Then, I deleted and reinstalled the program, but the relocation did nothing. Some files need to be hidden.
  
  I tried to use the fix/restore without success.
  
  Question: How can I get the program to return to its original settings showing the Design and Split screen in addition to the Code view in the Menu bar?

• On top of any web page, the hotspots will not work. It seems that the links in the part of the header of a page are disabled.

  On any web page (Facebook, Yahoo, this page), the links at the top of the page do not work. Hot spots seem dead. To this page of computer desktop/laptop/Firefox home links will not work.

  (A) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

  (B) in the search above the list box, type or paste feat and make a pause so that the list is filtered

  (C) for each preference that begins with dom.disable_window_open_feature. , if it is not 'true', double-click it to true.

  You may find that you prefer this anyway, given that sites can band is more these pop-up windows features.
