Weird computer on my network Help!

There was a weird computer on my network. I tried to change the password and unplug the TimeCapsule airport but, it didn't work. Also, my other computer network services NetBIOS name says under WINS and the mysterious appeared. Computer is a PC but also to the first part of the name with numbers after it. I found the computer in the Finder under shared. No download. Help would be gladly appreciated.

When I stopped the other computer, it disappears.

    Hello fellow Mac users...

Today, while using, Firefox A message appeared on my screen: another computer on your network is using the ip address of your computer.

Now, I am 100% sure that my phone was turned off when it happened. And I have a password on my wifi connection.

I panicked because no one should have access to my network or my IP address. Immediately, I turned off my modem and turned off the wifi on my mac.

Later, I went to renew the DHCP lease.

    My question is this:

Could it be, in theory, based on the message system I (another computer on your network is using the ip address of your computer) the IP address was stolen (for lack of a better word) by a remote user, which is not in my physical neighborhood that is resident in another city or even country?

If so, then I did the right thing by closing my Modem? And later on the DHCP lease renewal? About 20-30 minutes past until what I actually renewed the DHCP lease. It, in theory, could have too late to do (assuming that a malicious user has chosen to masquerade himself with my IP address)?

    Thank you all very much!

    Hi JMG_53,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2: Follow these steps:

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in safe mode with networking, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state from the link to start the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.

  • I get a message saying that windows has detected another computer on this network. I have another computer could be this one

I get the message windows has detected another computer on this network.i have another computer could be this one and is it a problem?

    Hello

1 have you added the other computer on the network?

2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    3. When do you have this error code or error message?

The computer has detected in the network may be the other that you have, you will need to check the network and check the name of the computer. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
You can get a new IP address from your computer. You will need to do if you encounter connection problems.

    a. Click Start. Type cmd in the search box and press ENTER.

    b. at the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
ipconfig/all (there is a space between ipconfig and /)
The command ipconfig/all command displays for all your network adapters, TCP/IP in Windows settings.

    c. enough at the command prompt ipconfig and press ENTER. This frees up your current IP address.

    d. ipconfig / renew in command prompt and press ENTER.

The DHCP configuration for all adapters is renewed. To renew the IP address for a
specific adapter, type the name of the map that appears when you type ipconfig at the command prompt.

    Method 2:
If the problem persists and you have not Windows Vista Service Pack installed
then you can refer to the link below and check if you use the fix passes solve you the problem.

The computer we have problems printing used to be able to print to the Officejet 6000, but now he can't.  In devices and printers, it says that the printer is connected, but I can't print a Test Page.  However, if I run the HP Solution Center, it says that the printer is connected and I can go to the Toolbox of the printer and print a printer status report.  The 2 other computers on our network have no problem printing of pages to document and test.  Why would a printer are struggling to print documents and test pages, but be able to print the printer status report?

It's just a problem of connection and communication. The computer and the printer can be on different ports or IP addresses. Here's a link below that can help solve this problem.

  • I can't disconnect access to another computer on my network.

I tried to connect a printer to a computer wireless to my network and thought that maybe it would be useful that I connected on the computer connected to the printer manually. So, I went downtown network and sharing of control panel and found that wireless. He asked me to enter the user name and password. Knowing that already, I walked in and he connected, but now I want to disconnect. For the past two weeks, if I simply close my laptop while it is running, most of the time when I try to open it up my wireless network does not connect automatically. The only problem is, sometimes it will fail to find a network and when I try to manually go to 'Connect to', it does nothing. Nothing comes up at all. I have to restart my computer. Once I try to restart, it sticks on the screen "Logging Off". I also tried to disconnect just opened a session back, but it's still stuck on this screen. I am then forced to make a hard closed down by holding down the power button.

  • A hacker took over my computer, mainly my network is controlled by them. How to get rid of it

    Original title: Hacker

I let a hacker in my computer, tech support imposter, he took over my computer, mainly my network is controlled by them. I use HP Pavilion Home Premium Windows 7, 64-bit sp2 Server 2008r2. Can someone help please?

Your post is a bit confusing.  Windows 7 does not have a "Service Pack 2" and is not the same Windows Server 2008 r2 operating system.

You need to contact all the sites for which you saved in your computer, in particular financial institutions, logon and change your log on credentials.

Backup of all your data first.  Also, before the system recovery, use a keyfinder as Magical JellyBean Keyfinder or Belarc Advisor utility to find any product keys/licenses you will need to reinstall your application programs.

Then you must do a clean install of Windows.  Because you have a CV, a "system recovery", as described here--> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01867418

After the system recovery, uninstall any antivirus software free trial using the tool provided by the manufacturer of the antivirus (trial will have expired).  For a list of these tools, see http://support.eset.com/kb146/?locale=en_US , then you need to install a good antivirus.

After restoring your backup data, analyze all the files with your antivirus software and a program of quality (such Free MalwareBytes AntiMalware) antimalware software before opening any files.

Finally, reinstall your application programs from your original installation media (CD/DVD/downloaded the Installer).
