  My phone display "My Number: unknown Number" above the number display and I want to change my real number. "I tried the 'status' in the Menu which will then show my number: unknown" and the times of 'Last call' and 'calls altogether.   My bbm display picture will not change! It changes on my phone but it does not reflect the profile of others! It's really annoying because it lasts for about 3 weeks nw!   The best solution I've seen work is the removal of and reinstall BBMessenger.

  • Remove the application Options > device > application management.
  • Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
  • Reinstall the BBM from your BlackBerry browser to www.blackberry.com/bbm

  Yet what version of BBM are you on your device? Try to reinstall the same, if you want to try it then your homescreen go to Options > device > Application Management > delete BlackBerry Messenger in the list, and then do a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your unit is powered. After the reboot of your Explorer BlackBerry browser to www.blackberry.com/bbm to download BBM. Try it and see if that helps with your problem.

  My 'text' icon disappeared recently in the menu "All".  Apparently, it was replaced by a second 'contacts' icon  Fortunately I got it in the "Favorites" menu as well, so I can still access them.  However, it is annoying to have to return to the Favorites menu just to read a text message.

  I have since put it so text messages go to the Inbox of General messages, but I would have preferred to return the icon.  I tried to pull the battery nothing works.  Any suggestions?

I figured out how to separate my emails to my text messages in the 'Messages' box, but it is always default to my email messages when I opened the box "Messages". How can I make the text message folder? (There is no "hide folder" option I can find it, and when I separated from email and texts no new record did come on my homescreen).

  If you have changed "SMS and Email" to separate boxes? On my machine, I had to look in my Applications folder to find the icon 'SMS and MMS '. After that I found it, I was able to move on the home screen.

  I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come):

  (1) registry HRT

  • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

  (2) Service reference books

  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

  (3) restart to take batt

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you can try to delete and add your BIS lines for the accounts involved and/or contact your operator for formal support.

  OK, desinstallez.109 from your computer, stop, restart, then reinstallez.109 on your computer.  See if it appears in the Desktop Manager then (I don't think it will be, but it's worth a try).  If not, you may need to clean your phone (save it first ), and then reinstall the operating system on it.  Wipe your phone, there are several programs out there - one of the easiest to use is called JL_CMDER (although if you are on Vista 64-bit on your computer, there is a special work around to operate).
