BlackBerry Smartphones display turned! Emergency aid

Hello

I got a new Bold 9700 a few months back and the screen is completely shot. For the last two days the screen disappeared but came back if someone called or if the phone was left alone. But now its completely gone and I cannot see a thing just a white screen with colored lines. I tried to update the software of the device but that did not work or the other. Help, please.

Thank you

Ankur

If it is a new device and you are covered by the guarantee n return the appliance to the store and ask for replacement.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry curve 9360. Emergency aid!

Hi, so I have been charging my phone and went out. Would not work when I came back, its not even showing the bright when LCD connected to load and would also not connect to a laptop. I've tried everything I can to fix it, even went to some stores but it seems that its completely dead. I went to carphone warehouse in leeds, but they accept it cos the camera screen is cracked and it costs much. Is there any other way I could get it fixed or replaced or something and it is not even damaged by water or whatever it is, just dead . :'(Please

Ah... Well, it's a shame my clairvoyance application did not work... otherwise we could have saved some time there... it is always better to know the details... even now, we have no way of knowing what 'and more' means...

If you have been in formal support, we, on this community of volunteer users, certainly would try to replace that... If they diagnose hardware, then your warranty or insurance should cover you, right?

If you don't have warranty or insurance, so you had to deal with should still be able to help, I think... at a cost, of course...

As a community of users, nobody here can answer your question with any level of authority whatsoever. RIM offers zero first line support to end-users, including warranty... all support starts with the carriers, resellers and authorized service centers, all who can degenerate case RIM free of charge for the end user.

Thus, your escalation procedure is here, in these forums. It's through that that you are already dealing with. You have no free path by which go around them and ask any anything from the RIM.

There is something called incident support, but it costs to just ask the original question, since you are not through the contract, you signed at the time of purchase. If you want to study, you can check it out here:

It is also perhaps a few good reading here:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones backlight turns off after that I have a dial

Whenever I have dial a number, the backlight turns off until the time wherever I disconnect. So if anyone wants any information about me that is stored on my phone, I can't just read from the phone. I got to wait for the call ends, find the info and then call them back!

What is the use of call waiting if I can't see who's calling while I am already on another call.

It's frustrating, I tried Googling, but have not been able to solve this problem. My bb torch is only 7 days old!

    Help, please!

p.s. extending the duration of backlight in 'options' doesn't help either.

Your flashlight is not only a smartphone, it's a "smart phone".  When you dial a number and place the phone in your face, the photocell detects this and turns off the display to save battery power.  If at any time you need to remove the phone from your face during a call (to add some numbers or receive another call, etc.), your phone reactivates the backlight, so you can see what is on the screen.

If this isn't the case for you, remove the battery while your phone is on, then replace it (to do outside of a call, not on a call).  Try once more after that to dial a number.

Let us know if that helps you.

  • My "BOLD" of blackBerry Smartphones is turned off as soon as the loading page less reaches the quarter

Hello, I woke up this morning and my phone was working fine. I am back asleep and woke up it was off and everytime I try to turn it on I see the red light and then it starts to load until it reaches the quarter or even less, and it shuts off and restarts with the red light and the loading page... etc. What should I do? I mean my phones not died and I bought a new battery for it, so the problem is not the battery

If your BlackBerry is still under tension turned off with a black screen, or constantly restarts, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life may be the flashing red indicator light in the upper corner. Nothing seems to wake and Desktop Manager does not recognize that a device is connected.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.
    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

  • BlackBerry smartphone screen turns black in the Blackberry Bold 9900, but everything else, keys, touchpad screen and keyboard still works.

It is a problem, I think that many have known, but there is no real solution to the problem. However, initially all of a sudden phone has begun to show an error (can't remember not exactly what, but something related to something does not turn) and the screen locked with constantly showing loading circling constantly clock and the narrowing of the battery quickly. what I've done; Hold the alt + right shift + del (twice) to restart the phone. Restarting the phone, the screen turns black (which indicates there is neither power or the screen itself issue and it's just a matter of graphics functionality). The phone restarts you black screen, the phone clearly charged the software couple received messages (indicating the phone works and the network also works). The phone rings again and the touchpad works if you know by heart, keyboard and the short keys for speed dial works (which means that yo can call), but the screen turned black. I think it's graphic material rather software number. I tried to do all sorts of stuff and things, did not work. Finally, I decided to restore the Blackberry software (running the latest version 7.1) so I plugged it in to the computer and run terminal BlackBerry Desktop to perform an update failed with this error: "an error occurred when downloading the BlackBerry® Desktop software. Please try again. "and offered to launch the"regsvr32 ole32.dll"in order to connect to the Blackberry server to do the update. tried, restarted my PC, plug the unit again removing battery, replacement and tried again, keep showing the same error. I tried all the advice forums, youtube videos and even troubleshooting I contacted Microsoft (running windows 7 64-bit), server connection module installed and works perfectly still having the same problem.

I hope that blackberry had a clear answer to these questions and have someone in the customer service who can solve the problem instead referring users to the forum!

Anyone who had experienced the same problem and found a solution, please respond. your help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

The GPU is integrated into the cpu, so the phone would not ring or the touchpad does not work. It is possible that the phone fell or anything that could cause the connections on the motherboard to disconnect, I gave up my 9930 and causes the connector unplugs. Would you feel comfortable taking apart? It's easy, I think you could look up how do on YouTube. I could help you if you are on Central time or Pacific.

  • Went blackBerry Smartphones display

my phone smart blackberry torch 9800 has suddenly gone black. No display. Red Flash appears and when he calls rings but no display at all. can someone help pls thank you

Most likely, the tablecloth from the motherboard to the screen failed. It could also be the screen itself. Whatever it is, there is nothing we can do here since it is a hardware failure.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones cannot turn on Wi - Fi

I bought my "BOLD" last week and most of the stuff were implemented including a wi - fi connection to my home network.  Now, the connection is disabled and I can't turn on the WiFi.

When I check the box of the Wi - Fi connection in manage connections, it just gray out and disappears in a few seconds.  When I Scan for networks I get an error "unable to activate Wi - Fi".

    Market stop did not help.

He has done it before, I do not know why not now.

    Thanks from a newbie

You will need to remove your battery, wait a few seconds and then put the battery in.  You'll notice that whenever your blackberry starts acting weird, remove the battery usually solves the problem. Turn off the phone, is a bit like putting your computer into sleep mode more.  Take out the battery if want to start cold switch to a computer.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones stuck in emergency call only and can not enter my password safe alpha that will only allow numbers

After a software (12 hours) update my Blackberry Curve 9320 is stuck in mode 'emergency calls only '.  I have an alpha security password, so it allows me to enter it will allow of only to try to fix or reconnect to the network - numbers from the keyboard.

Tried to remove and reinsert the battery - no joy.

How do I either get my password entered or exit emergency calls only?

    Hello

Resolved to myself.  Already had a digital security password so I tried to put that in.  It was accepted & seemed to allow the network to reconnect that meant while I was off emergency calls only mode & could enter my password safe alpha & enter my phone.

Rather strange but suggested that my SIM card can hold my old password that I used with my last phone.

Unusual scenario but the hope that it might help others.

  • Option no. blackBerry Smartphones to turn off the automatic signature

I just got the blackberry Pearl... and there isn't an option to disable their auto signature "Sent from my BlackBerry® with SprintSpeed Smartphone".  When I go to the e-mail settings (or other parameters in the message section) there is not an option for auto signature or even add a signature.  Any ideas on why it would be or if there is an upgrade that I need to download to be able to disable this option or add a signature?

I don't use a Blackberry Enterprise Server with this account, but do not know if it matters.

You must log into your BIS account and click on Edit next to your email and then delete the text in the signature field

  • BlackBerry smartphones display image

My bbm display picture will not change! It changes on my phone but it does not reflect the profile of others! It's really annoying because it lasts for about 3 weeks nw! Could be suggested w @ I'm supposed to please! I rebooted the phone, re inserted my sim card, even deleted and reinstalled the bbm application! Thank you

The best solution I've seen work is the removal of and reinstall BBMessenger.

    • Remove the application Options > device > application management.
    • Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
    • Reinstall the BBM from your BlackBerry browser to www.blackberry.com/bbm
  • BlackBerry Torch 9800 Blackberry Smartphones constantly turn off, won't stay

I would like to apologize in advance if this question has been asked before, I tried looking for a solution to this problem, but I can't seem to find the right answer.

Today, after a full day of use my phone normally & no problem my phone turn off automatically. I didn't think much, I just turned it back on. After doing this, I noticed that he couldn't quite charge throughout the Blackerry splash screen. I initially attributed a low battery, because he was dying. Now that I'm home and I plugged my phone in charge that the real problem begins to manifest.

He's trying to turn it on every time, it is trying to load via the Blackberry home screen, sometimes it gets fully load, sometimes it doesn't. If it isn't, it shuts off and restarts this whole process again. If it does get through the splash screen, I can access my home screen, but after a few seconds it stops again.

I did a battery pull, even removed my card a few minutes - no change. I thought that I could reload the software and restore everything, but it will not even stay on long enough for me to check all parameters in this topic.

Does anyone have advice for me? I hope that my phone is not quite dead.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the whole 4h15m process, your BB should stay connected to a good charger (not the USB PC):

    1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
    2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
    3. Remove the battery
    4. Wait 15 minutes
    5. Insert the battery
    6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

    1. Get a known good and already fully charge battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Bbm blackBerry Smartphones display picture

    Hello
Please tell me if anyone has a problem that your bbm picture is not updated...

    Lisa06 wrote:

I'M PRETTY TIRED AND NEED THIS PROBLEM FIXED, WHAT'S THE USE WITH A BLACKBERRY AND YOUR DISPLAY PICTURE DOESNT CHANGE!

    Hi Lisa06

If you encounter the problem you can contact the technical support of your carrier MTN, they can consider the issue.

Yet what version of BBM are you on your device? Try to reinstall the same, if you want to try it then your homescreen go to Options > device > Application Management > delete BlackBerry Messenger in the list, and then do a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your unit is powered. After the reboot of your Explorer BlackBerry browser to www.blackberry.com/bbm to download BBM. Try it and see if that helps with your problem.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones phone turns off automatically

For some reason, my phone (Blackberry Curve 8310) keeps cutting off on its own, and then when I try to turn it back on, it will not. So, I have to take the battery and again to bring it back on. And my phone is not yet dead, or on a low battery. Any help?

    Yes, it's free.

Follow the directions here and you'll be fine. Perform a full backup of your BB first, using Desktop Manager.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB turn GPS is not very accurate

Hello. I've had my turn for a few weeks and I've been playing with the GPS, but it is not very accurate. I have Google Maps and location I get is often off by a few miles. I have also some apps that try to stall on my position, but can never really block on. I enabled GPS on the phone, so this isn't the problem. Anyway to solve this problem or to calibrate the GPS to make the apps and google maps work and are more specific to locate my position?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I thank very you much.

It is a common misconception that your Google Maps is way off... when what you're doing isn't 'location' yourself via cell tower triangulation, GPS.

Google Maps uses cell tower (even on devices without GPS enabled) default setting. You will see a large blue circle to indicate the cell tower range in that you are.

When setting GPS on you, you will see a blue dot sold, to indicate your exact location, usually within 3-10 meters

Then, in turn, follow these steps:

First of all, go to Options > Advanced Options > GPS. Here, make sure that the GPS location Services on and help location = Enabled.

On any Blackberry model, first make sure that you in a area of signal coverage is good AND outside with a clear view of the sky view in an open no skyscraper area.

Your CDMA BlackBerry xx30 model, follow these steps:
Go to the Options icon > status
In the status screen on the keyboard type "test" (without the quotes!).
You will see a Test screen device Self. Click on the Menu button and choose Start. You will find a list of tests. The substantive test should be GPS, check it and click Menu > run. Remember location GPS is turned on. Go outside without obstacles or the tall buildings around or above you. Click the trackball, then click start fixing. is should do a test. Let it do its thing and it should tell you that a location coordinates.
