Make sure that the "E:\APP\User\ORADATA\ORCL" path exists and is the correct path. RMAN trying to restore the controlfile in the above path and is not able to find it.

With regard to the question of law backuppiece, 'O1_MF_NCSNF_TAG20121126T160404_8C6PR17J_. BKP"is the backuppiece that contains the backup controlfile.

  • corrupted control file?

    Hello

    I have a DB Oracle 10.2.0.3 on Solaris 10 update 5, SPARC 64-bit.

    Recently, I noticed that there are a number of files in my backupsets that were reported as corrupted:

    < pre >
    SQL > select recid, stamp, set_count, file No., marked_corrupt, media_corrupt, logically_corrupt
    2 from v$ backup_datafile
    3 where checkpoint_change # > = 2215146265248
    4 and (marked_corrupt > 0 and media_corrupt > 0 and logically_corrupt > 0);
    < / pre >
    < pre >
    RECID STAMP SET_COUNT FOLDER # MARKED_CORRUPT MEDIA_CORRUPT LOGICALLY_CORRUPT

    99979 746153962 15999 0 2011 319 0
    < / pre >

    File #= 0 means that it is corruption is the control file.

    I checked a few other points of view for more information, but I can't find anything about this:

    < pre >
    SQL > select * from v$ backup_corruption;
    no selected line
    SQL > select * from v$ database_block_corruption;
    no selected line
    < / pre >

    Can someone please explain what really means this information and the gravity of a situation that is? What methods are available to resolve this problem?

    Your are very good.

  • Placing the control in a custom control file

    Hi all

    I'm new to LabView and have a simple question. I customize an example of LV for my purpose. There is a custom control used in the example file. I'm setting up a new (combobox) control and want to place this control in the file of custom control so that I can move on to various sub - vi for various purposes (e.g. initialization).

    Chart attached shows the ComboBox (Model DUT) on a front panel and custom control file (TestStand UI Data.ctl). My questions are the following:

    1. What are these symbols with the pink arrow (that is the button stop/restart, etc...) in the TestStand UI Data.ctl file? (see attached diagram). They are symbol of data type of references?

    2. How can I place my combobox was forced TO model in the file of custom control so that I can pass through the different slot control file - vi? I tried to do a right-click on the control and use create-> constant or reference, but they don't it has not changed the pink arrow symbol element.

    I hope someone can help solve my problems. Thanks in advance.

    You do want to overwrite the "custom controls" that are part of LabVIEW.  However, you can create your own "custom" by a fall control, say, TestStand UI Data.ctl on your diagram, right click and choose Open Type Def (who opens the definition OR one you do want not change), make some additions or changes, then do a file/save under and save it in your project file with a custom name, that you make up.

    These pink arrow symbols are references - you can find them by looking in the Refnum palette.  I'm not sure what they are references to, however.

    As a suggestion, rather than send us just a picture with circled items, send the actual control so that we can watch and maybe tell you more details.

  • What kind of file is this: 46fa66248075f8afb16aa495b4e95d

    I am trying to learn how to clean my pc as much as possible without doing damage LOL.  Can someone tell me what kind of file it is on the c: drive: (46fa66248075f8afb16aa495b4e95d), I searched the internet but nothing.  I guess this is something that the pc uses to retrieve information.  Thanks in advance.

    See if this sounds like your situation and react accordingly:

    When some programs (including Microsoft programs) install things, it can create a temporary folder composed of 20-30 random letters and numbers or random numbers and letters in the root of the drive of the volume with more free space.

    This explains why sometimes files are on your C drive or some may be on a different drive - the most space?

    For example, you can see a similar to or called folder:

    C:\9470bb12e8a4f3447657236478e41c5
    or
    D:\9470bb12e8a4f3447657236478e41c5

    There may be other folders and files in this main temporary folder such as amd64 and i386 platforms.

    They should normally be deleted when the installation is complete, but sometimes they are not - especially if the installation fails.  They are harmless but annoying.  You can think something is wrong when there are no or fear, that the files are really necessary.  To avoid confusion, you can delete the temporary files.

    If your installation failed or installation does not remove the folder to the random name when it is finished running and you run again the installation, the installation again will another folder to the random name.  Sometimes, you will see several folder like this and they can all be deleted.

    You may be able to identify installation (out of curiosity) by looking at some of the contents of the folder and decide if this installation was not serious, just remove the files/folders.  If the installation does not work for some reason, run again just installation will create a new temporary folder to the random name so the old temporary folder is really useless.

    Records are sometimes tough to remove.  Even if you are an administrator on the system, you might get a "sharing violation", "access denied", "used" or type similar message when you try to delete temporary folders.  Facilities sometimes use different permissions that can have a regular user with the administrator group.

    There are many methods to try to remove the folders, and some require third party programs to install or change some windows settings that could compromise the security of your system if you do not change them back when you're done.

    Start your system in Mode safe mode (by pressing the F8 key several times just before XP attempts to load) is one good method to try to remove the files because it does not have to make any changes to your system configuration or by downloading third-party programs.

    If you are running XP Home Edition, the following section on turn off "Simple file sharing" does not apply to you since in XP Home, Simple file sharing is always turned on.

    If Safe Mode does not work you can change the security of the folder when you start in Normal Mode to give your username full control over the files by navigating to it in Solution Explorer, click on tools, Folder Options, view and in the advanced settings window, uncheck (at the bottom of the list) use simple file sharing (recommended) and click OK.  This disables him recommended simple file sharing on your computer if you want to turn it back on when you're done to make everything you do.

    Right-click on the files of interest, click Properties and click the now visible security tab.  Change the properties, but you need (for example, select your user name, and check the box to allow full control), click OK to apply the changes.

    With usage share of active simple files (recommended) the checked the properties of the folder tabs are:

    General, sharing, customize

    With the use of sharing files simple disabled (recommended) box unchecked, the properties of the folder tabs are:

    General, security, customize

    Now, try to manipulate/delete the folder.

    It's a good idea to go back to the Explorer and the cheque in the box easy to use sharing files (recommended) when you have finished making everything you do.

    I used to suggest Unlocker if the above methods fail, but Unlocker installs now so junk I'm going to suggest he not more and looking for something else...  If anyone has any ideas for an alternative to Unlocker I hope they will tell us!

  • Why the control file does not work?

    Hello

    This is the first time that I will use SQL Loader with position.

    I started with a very simple file.

    The SAMPLE file. TXT contains:

    11111

    22222

    33333

    My table is:

    CREATE TABLE MY_TABLE

    (my_field varchar2 (5));

    And my control file is:

    DOWNLOAD THE DATA

    INFILE ' D:\USER\SAMPLE. TXT' "fix 5.

    BADFILE ' D:\USER\SAMPLE. BAD'

    DISCARDFILE ' D\USER\SAMPLE. DSC"

    IN THE TABLE "MY_TABLE".

    ADD

    (MY_FIELD POSITION (1:5) TANK)

    After launching the SQL Loader, that's what I have in my picture:

    MY_FIELD

    11111

    222

    223

    3333

    And if I try to open the fron TOAD table, for example, I see that for the second, I have a carriage return and 222 and the third, I have 22 a carriage return and 3

    Thanks in advance!

    This is because you use a fixed record format.

    In this case, the CR/LF characters are not separators Records and are included in the data.

    So first record is: 1 1 1 1 1

    2nd is: 2 2 2 \r \n

    3rd is: 2 2 \r \n 3

    etc.

    Just remove the clause of "fix." SQL * Loader will use \n or \r\n as the record terminator by default, depending on your platform (Windows apparently?)

  • Restore the control file considerations

    Hello expert,

    Assumpition condition is:

    All the data files and the redologs are not damaged, but the controlfiles are damaged. We must restore the controlfile autobackup with the following command:

    RMAN > STARTUP NOMOUNT;

    RMAN > backup RESTORE CONTROLFILE AUTOMATIC;

    RMAN > ALTER DATABASE MOUNT;

    RMAN > RECOVER DATABASE;

    RMAN > ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS;

    Use of rman RECOVER, DATABASE redo logs to roll changes forward to control files. Can you explain what changes can be included? (Currently I only have one example: we add the new data file once the backup control file.) So we need roll forward the changes to control the file on the new added one.) Other examples?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Tong Ning

    Examine the contents of the controlfile.  He has the list of data files, the list of the archivelog files and list of rman backups.

    Archivelogs would be saved in the controlfile so that they can be applied.

    What about backups?  Subsequent backups would certainly no longer be in the controlfile.

    So little confused here.

    E:\APP\KMAHALINGAM\ORADATA\ORCL\--> must contain CONTROL01. CTL

    E:\APP\KMAHALINGAM\FLASH_RECOVERY_AREA\ORCL\--> must contain CONTROL02. CTL

    What is it now?

  • strategy of redo and control files

    Excuse my ignorance in this area (not oracle or a DBA), but from a risk perspective, I read his best practices for storing a redundant copy of recovery logs and control files on a separate disk / server - for redundancy.

    However, if the server is a server database physical, with local storage (in which case files of database and the oracle software resides), no configuration of cluster if the server dies a sudden death, then what exactly are the newspapers redundant recovery and control of files will save you of? Is it to minimize the loss of data, or else (told you I wasn't a DBA or Oracle guru). If you back up your recovery connects dialy then I don't know what exactly the redundant copies really are for/record you leave?

    So if the server dies (and the storage is still ok) and then transport the storage to another server and you are in business again. Multiplexing or not does not change your ability to use another server.

    In a disaster situation, where you lose the server and the storage is also lost, so you have to go to a backup and multiplexing saves you from what it is because the backup has only 1 copy of the controlfile and archivelogs.

    If you get a logical corruption (IE a bug in the software) with controlfiles multiplex, then you're still screwed because all controlfiles are physical copies of each other, so all controlfiles have the same corruption. In this case, you must go to a good backup of the controlfile.

    Multiplexing allows you to save when you get corruption Physics (due to the corruption of storage) of your command multiplex or multiplex redo logs file, and so you can use the good copy of the file control or redo logs to continue without losing the validated data.

    Syslog does not display the IO error.

    I followed the steps below to solve the problem.

    1] stop the database

    [2] restore control01.dbf to the backup location.

    [3] mount the database
    [4] recover database until cancel

    [5] Alter database open resetlogs.

  • SQL Ldr-load from multiple files to multiple tables in a single control file

    Hello

    It is possible to load data from files dishes mutiple at several tables using a control file in SQL Loader? The flat file to database table relation is 1:1. All data from a flat file goes to a table in the database.

    I have about 10 flat files (large volume) that must be loaded into 10 different tables. And this must be done on a daily basis. Can I start charging for all 10 tables in parallel and a file command? Should I consider a different approach.

    Thank you
    Sisi

    What operating system? ('Command Prompt' looks like Windows)

    UNIX/Linux: a shell script with multiple calls to sqlldr run in the background with '&' (and possibly nohup)

    Windows: A file of commands using 'start' to start multiple copies of sqlldr.

    Hello

    I met the error ORA-00338 while performing the recovery of incomplete data:

    I made this recovery on oracle 10g, database of ASM.

    1. What are the possible causes of this error ORA-00338?

    2. This error occurs at the beginning of the media recovery, RMAN is applying logs archived. If RMAN does newspapers "Online REDO" after applying "archived" logs required for recovery or in front of them?

    3 rman is how this journal in line 3 is more recent than the control file? How can I me SNA of the journal online & file control in my environment?

    Here are some details related to checkpoint scn / change # info. I found in my environment:
    Before recovery:

    v$ datafile: 642935
    v$ datafile_header: 642935
    v database $: 642935
    Journal of v$: 640956

    After the recovery fails (ORA 338 :()

    v$ datafile_header: 640056
    v$ database: 640906

    You could try the incomplete recovery has to do only the RESTORE DATABASE with RMAN.
    Then, using the SQLPLUS command line, issue a RECOVER database with the HELP of BACKUP CONTROLFILE until CANCEL. See which he records guests for and monitor messages in the alert.log

  • Option of SQL loader control file

    Hello

    I just started using sql loader and I doubt as a requirement.

    I used to get the first data file with 10 columns excel. We got a table with 10 columns backend and were load this excel file using sql loader.

    but since last week, they changed the data file and are now sending the data in column 8. what my condition is, for the other 2 columns, I want to insert text 'COLUMN_DROPPED' in the backend table. Rest 8 columns must be filled as usual.
    How can I handle files of control for this option?

    I just want to know the option that I why I am not providing control file.

    Thank you

    First of all, it is only possible if remaining 2 column datatype is string (char/nchar, varchar2/nvarchar2, clob/nclob) and is at least 14 characters long. The rest is easy. Just change 2 last control file fields:

    column9  constant 'COLUMN_DROPPED',
    column10 constant 'COLUMN_DROPPED'
