  I have a folder on my drive called '282c1b9c4e7ff17037' C and I have no idea what it is.  It contains 25 records, a total of 99 files and the size is 17.6 MB. The names of each of the files in the breast are a number of 4 numbers from 1025 to 3082, more a folder named graphics.  Each of these folders have 3 files named "EULA", "LocalizedData" and "SetupResources.dll".  What are these in and I have to keep?

  This is a temporary folder created by Microsoft software at installation time.

  It is safe to delete.

  There is really no way to tell how much damage you did on your hard drive...

  It is not found means that something might have been corrupted, ranging from something as simple as the initialization information for the partition boot record to almost everything on the disc!

  Your best bet for data recovery now is to do the following:
  (1) remove the hard drive from the PC
  (2) buy a USB-to-Hard kit adapter driver
  (3) download and install this utility on a working PC: http://www.majorgeeks.com/news/story/recover_data_in_3_steps_with_minitool_power_data_recovery_free_edition.html
  (4) connect the old drive to the work PC
  (5) run the data recovery utility to see what can be salvaged from the old drive.

  I saw your picture and read your thread. The cable is not a replaceable part. You might have to replace the whole motherboard if the HARD drive does not work.
