No failure of filtering on photosmart k510

Yesterday I bought a new photosmart k510. When I try to connect to my network it fails on one point: no filtering.

I use a Cisco-Linksys WRT610N. I entered the MAC address of the printer (that I found on the wireless network Test report) in the MAC addresses of the WRT610N list (I tried twice: once with uppercase E4:11:5 B... and once with small letters b... e4:11:5).

When I disable the MAC filtering in the WRT610N, I get a connection with my network. When I re-enable MAC filtering, so there is no connection again.

Other information (useless?): I use ASUS PC with 64-bit Windows 7 Home premium.

I have a very strong preference to keep my MAC active filtering because I think it improves the security of my network.

How can I solve this problem?

Thanks for all the helpful tips.

Kind regards

Marc

Hi Marc,

Temporarily disable Mac filtering and ensure that the printer currently connected to your network.

Locate the IP address by printing a network configuration report.

Note: yhe steps below are of my own knowledge and you can follow at your own risk, for any other assistant with the configuration of your router I would say contact Linksys support:

Go into your router configuration page and open the wireless tab, and then select Wireless Mac filtering.

Make sure it is active and allow PCs below to access the wireless network is enabled.

Click the Wireless Client list and locate your printer by IP address...

Select it and click the Add button.

Close the button from the list of customer and Sae settings in the Mac filtering dialog box.

Now restart your router, disable the pritner and turn it back on and check for any changes.

  • Message 'Ink system failure' error 0xc05d1281 in Photosmart C7250 Printer

First message was "cartridge after expiry."  I turned and turn on the printer. Tried to print again. New message has been

'Ink system failure', I bought a new cartridge, installed, tried again, still 'ink system failure '.  The printer is a 3 in 1, black Plus 5.

    About 4 years.

    Hello rubadub,.

Regarding your question, here is the troubleshooting HP article.

An alphanumeric Code (example: ' 0 x 'r' C2...) ") or 'Ink system failure' Error Message is displayed on the front panel when printing

Ink system failures are usually in the ink cartridge, the print head or in the printer. Since you have already replaced the ink cartridge, the problem lies in the print head or the printer.

The C7250 print head is permanent and cannot be replaced or cleaned outside the aircraft so there is not much we can do with working with her.

Go through the article and follow the steps in the order

    1. remove the cartridges and install it

    2. use the automatic printhead cleaning utility (sometimes you may need to run this several times)

    3 reset the product

    4 maintain the product

If the first three steps do not resolve the problem, there is not much to service other than the product. Return ticket if the first three steps help or do not help, maybe we can think outside of the box before going to the service, but we'll see if the standard general steps work.

  • C410a - wireless not connect to the Verizon FIOS router - fails MAC filtering

I just bought an all-in-one HP Photosmart Premium C410a printer.  It does not connect to the Verizon FIOS Actiontek MI424WR router, failed the test of MAC filtering.  Spent half an hour on the phone with Verizon (no resolution as they checked the filtering MAC is turned off in the router) and 3 hours with HP (no resolution).  Sharing the printer on a home network defeated the purpose wireless and is not acceptable because I don't want to have another PC switched on just to get to the printer.  Someone was able to resolve the failure "MAC filtering" wireless?

Without the MAC address filtering test indicates the problem is inconsistent with other available error messages.

There may not be a real problem of filtering.  I saw this message associated with WEP key mismatches secutiry and a host of other issues.

To what extent do you have on the installation.  We can work from there.

    Host family

P.S. I saw messages asking people to try to disconnect the router from the internet while doing the configuration of the printer.  Have you tried?  Sometimes the router check with the service provider before it will allow a device to join the network.  It bypasses this audit.

  • HP Photosmart 5510e printer has suddenly stopped printing correctly

    Original title: fault printer

    Hello

I have a HP Photosmart 5510e printer that has suddenly stopped printing correctly because the black ink is not getting through.  I did everything possible troubleshooting I can and replaced all the cartridges for new ones, but nothing helped.  When I did a report print quality he had no black ink on it at all. This leads me to think that there may be a blockage between the cartridge and print head. Any ideas?

You might want to try this: failure of black ink Photosmart 5510 e-All in one series

Using cartridges HP no also could cause this kind of problem.  Otherwise, it is usually a sign that the printhead is kaput, impossible to replace this printer print head if the printer is also kaput, on the garbage heap, it will!  That's how it is with printers, you can either pay in advance for a printer expensive hard and has lower cost of Ink/toner replacement or you can buy a cheap and pay through the nose for ink replacement and in a year or two to mix the printer all out with the trash.

  • Oxc19a0013 error code

I have a HP Photosmart B210e more all-in-one printer-product # CN 219.  First, I got the blank pages, then I printed a diagnostic report and it showed all colors except black.  Then received the above error code.  I have reset the printer out the cartridges and the print head.  Clean the printhead, cartridges, and the error message continues.  At one point also got an error message on the problems of print head, took out cartridges again, new and very carefully replaced print head cartridges and print head, bought a new black cartridge and still get the above error message.  The message on the print head went.  Now any suggestions?  I have Windows 7.  I hate to replace the print head and then find this does not solve the problem.  It was cheaper to buy a new printer.  Hopefully I can solve the problem, I do not like the product.  All thiis started a few weeks after I had installed a black cartridge 564XL.  Who could part of the problem?

    Hey b_4,.

I see that you have a code 0xc19a0013 (generally ink system failure) on your HP Photosmart Plus B210.  This is normally an indication of a hardware failure in the system of printer ink, heads of printing or the internal part of the system of ink in the printer.

I see you did a lot of troubleshooting for this problem.  There is a document that deals with this type of error, however, of troubleshooting to the B210.  I would advise to check through and making sure that all measurements are made.  The document can be found by clicking here.

If all measurements were made, then they should consider the options at hand.  This printer is guaranteed?

You can check the status of the guarantee of their printer by clicking here.

If you are out of warranty, then you have more options at this stage.

    • You can buy a printhead for the HP parts store by using CN642a for the Photosmart B210 part number.  This printhead currently sells for about $ $70.

    • You can call the HP Technical Support on the upgrade program.  The upgrade program is where you can get a newer refurbished model HP printer (similar to the current model), with a full factory warranty, at a discount from the new sale price at retail.

    • You can buy a new HP printer from a retailer (it will have the same full factory warranty).

  • 0xc19a0023 of Photosmart ink system failure

I have a photosmart C6380 All - In - one printer which has an error message on that says "ink system failure, 0xc19a0023 please turn printer market."  Followed all directions under the heading contact hp as turning point on and outside, by unplugging all the cords, clean the electrical contacts, etc..  Bought in 3/09, so out of warranty.  Called Hp and has spent 37 minutes on the line with them, trying to sell me a new printer without ever discussing the problem with someone difficult to understand.  Was willing to pay $20 for 14 days tech support but kept making pressure to pay $37.for 1 year of technical support.    We know what means this code and how to fix it?  Have never had any other problems with the printer and still use the correct HP with her ink cartridges. Have windows Vista on my computer.  Thank you!

Usually with a message like that, we recommend you first disconnected the USB cable if it is connected to a computer. Then remove the cartridges from the printer as well. With the always on power, unplug the power cord at the back of the printer, as well as the wall, and then wait for about 60 seconds. After that, plug it to the wall first, then the printer, allowing it to start.

If it gives you a message similar to "the following ink cartridges appear to be missing or corrupt" you can reinstall them at this time, when you are prompted.

(If you do not have a keyboard, then you won't be able to do the 2 steps. Please see below.)

If you get the error message even if you have a numeric keypad on the printer, proceed in the same way, but before plugging it back in, press and hold the button # with the number 3 and plug the power cord into the printer and now the buttons. Once the printer starts to show he'll be back to the top, you can release the buttons and allow him to return to the top.

If you continue to get the message, then do the same thing except hold # and number 6 on the keypad and it allow to return to the top.

If you still get the message after all the steps above are performed, please contact HP for a replacement, if your printer is still under warranty. If the printer is out of warranty, then we have still generally upgrade options available, and you may be able to get a replacement printer (yet a different or better model) cheaper to go buy a new one. It is usually a good idea to call to see what your options may be at this time for this on phone support options. Beyond what I posted, it is not a lot of telephone support can do for you, so, in my opinion, I would try to focus on the upgrade options.

  • Photosmart C4180: inkjet has ended unexpectedly and failure to communicate

Printer has worked well in the past - HP Photosmart C4180 and Imac which has been restarted and the latest OS... Then started to receive two messages ' inkjet ended unexpectedly "which has been applied by a queue in the control panel of the printer that there was a communication failure. Try again, same thing happens

Whenever I try to print now either completely blocks and I try again, or it prints the first three lines, springs from the page, and then treat send individual sheets with a few lines of gobblegook - until what I finished printing.

This went on and turned off, very very annoying, sometimes it works after a few attempts, then not. Got it to work for a few weeks, now back with a VENGEANCE > have uninstalled, restarted through the Mac or Power Mac and a printer, tried different threads to find out what the problem is all... now angry... HELP PLEASE

Welcome to the HP Forums @NoisyParkser,

I stumbled upon your thread and read your messages on printing problems you have with your Photosmart C4180 connected to your iMac running 10.11 and wanted to respond with my own suggestions that might help. As I'm not sure if the problem is hardware or software related, we will touch both categories when troubleshooting.

Allows to test the equipment, perform a hard reset and make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall jack, then make a copy of the front of the printer. This does not involve the computer somehow and will show us if there is a problem with the hardware with the device.

    Reset:
With the printer, unplug the power cord at the back of the unit.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the unit.
If the printer does not by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
    Make a copy.

If the copies are all problems, fill me in what you see coming and all errors you might encounter in.

If copies are fine, the problem is software related on the iMac somewhere, try these steps according to the computer:

    1. Reset the printing system
    2. Restart the Mac.
    3. Follow this guide: Printers HP - install Mac printer driver using Apple Software Update
    4. In addition, to download this driver: HP v3.1 for OS X printer drivers
    5. Try to print some of the different applications and let me know which you tested from and outcomes.

If you have trouble with the steps, let me know and I'll do my best to help.

Click the thumbs up below to say 'Thank you' & the "Accept as Solution" If the problem has been resolved it please and thank you!

    All the best,
