What happened to 'manage bookmarks' in Firefox 4?

I want to choose a bunch of bookmarks to move them to a new folder, but I can't understand how to do this without the option "manage bookmarks".

  • "Bookmarks > organize bookmarks ' has been renamed to"show all bookmarks"in the beta versions of Firefox 4.

I want to have my favorites in the left pane of the default desktop, when I connect in firefox, as before. the solution proposed in the firefox help page "What happened to the bookmarks toolbar?", i.e. to check "bookmarks toolbar" in the drop-down display-toolbars menu, does not work.

    can you suggest an alternative?

    I use firefox on a macbookpro with os10.6.6 4.0b11

The bookmarks toolbar has nothing to do with the Bookmarks Sidebar (on the left side of the browser window). {Ctrl + B} open/close the bookmarks bar. If you close Firefox with the open bookmarks bar, it should be open when you launch Firefox, next time. If it does not work like that in your profile file localstore.rdf file is probably damaged.

  • What happened to the "bookmark this page" in my bookmarks drop down box? I need! I am not computer savy and want to just scroll through all the pa marked with a bookmark

The toolbar previous at the top of the screen re: bookmarks had the easier and is more agreed for me (and I'm sure MANY OTHERS) to just click, scroll, stop and click and fact! I'm on page that I bookmarked. So now, no? and what happened to the "mark this page" option initially drop down list? It's so easy. I have to develop records, files, plugins, etc...
What in is he developed a method for people who are geeks high tech click on something that will lead THEM to last orders?

Add code to the file userChrome.css below default @namespace.

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

/* move "Show All Bookmarks" to the top of the Bookmarks drop-down list */
    #BMB_bookmarksPopup #BMB_bookmarksShowAll {-moz-box-ordinal-group:0}

/* move "Show All History" to the top of the History drop-down list */
    #PanelUI-history > * {-moz-box-ordinal-group:3!important}
    #PanelUI-history > label.panel-subview-header {-moz-box-ordinal-group:1!important}
    #PanelUI-history > #PanelUI-historyMore {-moz-box-ordinal-group:2!important}

The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.

    • Create the folder chrome (lowercase) in the .default < xxxxxxxx > profile folder if the folder does not exist
    • Use a text editor such as Notepad to create a userChrome.css (new) file in this folder (the names are case-sensitive)
    • Paste the code in the userChrome.css file in the Editor window and make sure that the userChrome.css file starts with the default @namespace line
    • Make sure that you select "All files" and not "text files" when you save the file via "save file as" in the text editor as userChrome.css. Otherwise, Windows can add a hidden .txt file extension and you end up with one does not not userChrome.css.txt file

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

    • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)
  • What happens if I sync two firefoxes Office? My Favorites will be organized by computer or are there duplicates?

How to set up firefox sync is well described, but there is virtually no information on what happens after the installation. I have two computers with different bookmarks and settings and I want to keep it like that, but I still want to have access to the data of the other computer.

Synchronization will import all the settings and merge or settings remain separated somehow? This will affect only bookmarks or also of the sessions, i.e. the open tabs and windows? I would agree with merging of bookmarks, but browsing sessions must remain unique, although it would be nice to somehow access the list of the tab open on the other computer.

Firefox Sync "synchronizes" data types, the user selects on connected devices.
If you select bookmarks in sync settings, your bookmarks on this device will be synchronized with those on the server. If favorite is not enabled on a particular device, bookmarks on this device are not part of each synchronization session.
If you only select tabs you want to synchronize, your story will not Sync-only what is selected on a device will be part of each synchronization session.

  • What happens when managed, segment size of memory the server has

    Hi all

Can anyone provide some information on what happens after reaching the size of memory managed server segment by... We are on 11.1.2.3. Our is a compact deployment with EAS, APS, RA, WA, web applications deployed on the single managed server work space. Our chunk size is set to 8 000 MB (8 GB) and I'm trying to understand what happens once the limit is reached, I tried searching for an answer in the forums of Weblogic, but did not find anything. So maybe if someone could shed some light on what would help a lot.

    Thank you
    Ted.

I expect the Dungeon of increasing size until the segment maximum + fresh General, the gc must retrieve the memory to be allocated again and is not released to the OS.

    See you soon

  • What happened to my bookmark tab when I downloaded the latest version of Firefox. Don't look the same...

I kept getting a message that says you need to update or you are using an outdated version of foxfire.
So I have updated or downloaded the new version and my book brand label wasn't in the same place. And it's very different.

  • Where is the option "Manage" bookmarks in Firefox 19.0.2 so I can rename or delete a folder?

I tried the 'wheel' icon to manage / delete / rename the bookmark as records suggests the tutorial, but it does not select the option "Delete" (I can see 'remove', will not work) and it offers the option to rename the files. Before I can do a right-click on the title and then rename but now nothing works.
I have Firefox 19.0.2 on an iMac

The menu item has been renamed "Show all bookmarks" at any given time. Who should open what is now called the Library dialog box.

    Bookmarks > show all bookmarks

Under Windows, on the shortcut menu, you always choose Properties to rename, there wasn't an element of rename it. Does it work on Mac?

Yet, who would not explain why you can't remove...

You can do what you need to do in the Library dialog box, or is this dysfunction as well?

  • What happened to my bookmarks toolbar?

I've just updated Firefox to version 15.0 on Mac. Suddenly, all my bookmark folders that are supposed to be in my Bookmarks Toolbar are gone, and the toolbar doesn't let me put it out there. It is substantially not optimal. I must say, I'm becoming less and less fan of Firefox with each update happening, What saddens me.

So I did the thing "Firefox Reset to its default state" Troubleshooting my toolbar files are returned. Now, I work my way through all of my extensions and modules to try to understand those who are covering the toolbar. Boox did, but I think that more than one of them did. Other bulletins as events warrant.

  • What happened to option "bookmark all"?

    He is very greedy.
Bad memory "creep" - worse than the old version.
I also miss the novelty: all what firefox under a logo.

  • What happened to MP3 support in Firefox 24?

As I installed Firefox 24 on my laptop, I am not able to play the MP3 files on Firefox via HTML5.
I did a HTML5 test that confirms that my browser does not support the MP3:

    http://beta.html5test.com/s/7ae8f31bc64db93f.html

Here it is said Firefox has started to support version 22 but it is not supported in the 24th, and it's true for me because I could play MP3 files on version 22 or 23 (I don't remember which), no problem, but now I can't with 24.

    http://html5test.com/Compare/feature/audio-MP3.html

    In addition, according to this:

    http://beta.html5test.com/Compare/feature/audio-MP3.html

It is new supported by Firefox 26, but I don't want to have to use a night generation.

The strange thing is that one of my friends says he can play very well on Firefox 24 MP3 files.

    What can I do?

I see that you posted a previous question about his problem on 8 October 2013.

    • / issues/973656 I can not play audio MP3 directly or with HTML5 on Firefox

You wrote in this thread that direct links to MP3 files as in This example mp3, also do not work for you in the built-in player of Firefox.

    You also wrote,

I have a laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium x64, which I had to reinstall recently because of some hard drive problems. I used to be able to play MP3 audio files directly on Firefox, when I clicked a link to a MP3 file a new tab would open and the audio would start playing. But now I get a window asking me whether I want to open it (with Windows Media Player by default), or save it, and I can't play MP3 files with HTML5 <audio> tag, supposedly my browser doesn't support it.

I think it might have something to do with the fact that you have recently reinstalled Windows 7. Did you also install SP1 and Windows upgrades later?

  • What happened to "edit bookmarks"? He went. I hate this.

I'm curious where the "edit bookmark" tab go? There is no apparent way to change, rearrange, or remove bookmarks

In Firefox 4, it is now called "Show all bookmarks" which offers the same functions as "organize bookmarks".

  • What happened to MP3 support in Firefox 26?

I can not play MP3 or DVD any longer.
Everything that used to work perfectly, but today they do not.
I have downloaded Real Player again and it worked for half the MP3 and stopped.
I tried to download Google Chrome and it did not work at all.
    Uninstalled Google Chrome.
My wife and I are members of a study group that use MP3 files for each lesson.
We sat by my monitor and watched literally hundreds of lessons in a satisfactory manner.
It's frustrating to be unable to continue.
Something wrong, but how to fix it?

Firefox changed how 26 MP3s are played on Windows XP. Is the problem on a system of XP, or XP mode on Windows 7?

In Windows Vista and later, Firefox can use the Media Foundation, components of Windows, to decode the MPEG media and play natively, instead of using a plugin. If you want to try to turn that off, there is a hidden parameter.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste the media and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference media.windows - media - foundation.enabled to change its value from true to false.

    (4) double click on the preference media.windows - media - foundation.play - stand alone to change its value from true to false.

    Does make a difference?

  • What happened to link previews in Firefox 25.0.1?

Firefox versions prior to the current one (25.0.1 for Windows) displays a pop-up URL when you hover your mouse over a hyperlink in a Web page. This feature seems to have disappeared (or disabled) on my Windows 7 laptop, but it still works on my Win XP desktop (also version 25.0.1). How can I turn on my laptop? I would like to know where I am about to be sent until I click on a hyperlink imprecise.

    Thank you
    Terry

Have you checked the setting in an extension of status-4-Evar 2013.10.31.22 for these pop-ups link preview?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.
  • What happened to the window start Firefox with images and background chill music?

Since the upgrade to a new computer running Windows 8 (64-bit) my start page of Mozilla has not all the themes of big picture and background chill options of music that I really enjoyed. How can I get that back?

Hello, the themes of the photo and background music were never part of the homepage by default in firefox - maybe you had a personalized homepage or an addon on your old computer to achieve - if you find that you have used before it will be certainly possible to set up the same way on your new pc...

  • What happened to the bookmark all tabs/Save and Exit/open session previous feature 4.0? If this was subscribed then 4.0 is of no use to me. I'll have to go back to 3.6

3.6 each time I closed the browser with multi tabs open that he would give me the possibility to save and exit. Then when I opened it the browser it would give me the possibility to open the previous session. I could also put bookmark all open tabs. All of these features seem to no longer be present in 4.0. If that's the case I'll be forced to uninstall and reinstall 3.6.

The new interface is the default on Windows Vista and Windows 7 only. To get it under Windows XP, you must hide the menu bar. Do, in the view menu, select Toolbars, then click on the entrance to the "Menu bar".

If you need to access the menus, you can press Alt or F10 to display temporarily.
