  Change that to each host only (what Continuum called VMnet1) or NAT (VMnet8).  Both use a separate virtual NETWORK card to connect the physical computer virtual host, independent of any NETWORK adapter on the host.

  Because the connection between the guest and the host is through a separate NETWORK card, you must use the 'other' IP address.  Access a prompt on the host computer and type IPCONFIG to view the IP address of VMnet1 and VMnet8 NIC.  Then use this IP address instead of 192.168.1.5.

  And when you have changed the network management modes (i.e. of bridged to host-only), Windows does not automatically renew its IP address.  The virtual NETWORK card uses a different subnet if you need to renew your DHCP lease or change your static IP address to work with the new subnet.

  You will now have a bunch of commands "vpngroup" in your PIX, simply go into config mode and add more commands 'vpngroup' but with a different groupname. The VPN client then uses this group name to connect to the PIX.

  Another way to allow only access to a host for this PIX is to split tunnelling on this group, as well as in the tunnel of split ACL set only as a host.

• My dad fell for a scam of pop up allowing access to its iMac... What should I do now?

  My old father just bought a new iMac 3 weeks after the death of his previous mac of 10 years ago.  He is not very computer and had a time with the learning curve.

  Yesterday, while online, he fell for one of those notices of popups indicating that his computer was 'at risk' - he called the phone # & handed her credit card information...  Immediately, they have had access, has taken control of his computer and downloaded something while he was on the phone with him.  That scared him and he stopped.

  He called the credit card company to refuse the $50 fee that had been immediately posted on his account.  I fear however, that some sort of malicious software have been installed and maybe they have access to his personal information and passwords, etc.  He doesn't know who he talked to, or what has been downloaded...

  What needs to be done to identify and remove what has been installed?  I don't want him being a victim of identity theft.

  I use the free version of ESXi and it is in course running on the network. 10.32.125.x I noticed that if I try to connect to the host via the Client vSphere from another network, such as 10.32.126.x, I can't.  I can't ping or SSH host either form the 10.32.126.x network.  All right if I'm on the 10.32.125.x network, which is the same network that the server is running on (10.32.125.63 is the IP host address).  I can access services on thin virtual machines from other networks, just not the ESXi host itself.

  Any ideas of how I can allow access of networks other than that on which lives on ESXi?

  I have a new Mac, an old Mac, an old Windows machine and printer of Xante AW1200.

  Almost all of my work is done on the new Mac.  I get the old machine Mac or Windows of the drawer on rare occasions, or when I need to print something, because the new Mac cannot use the printer.  (Xante never taken the trouble to develop an OS X 10.6.4 driver for this printer.)

  I would like to get rid of the Windows machine.  I have it successfully migrated to a machine of comments on the new Mac, using vmware Fusion 3.1.3 but I have not found a way to get the computer to see the printer.

  This isn't a complete surprise, as Xante does not provide a driver for their (former) printer and (my new host) operating system OS X 10.6.4 - but they were planning a WIndows XP driver that has always worked well on the Windows machine, connected by the RS232 port.

  The printer also works very well on my old Mac, connected via ethernet.

  Can I connect the printer to the new Mac's ethernet port.  Of course, the Mac cannot work with it.  But could the guest computer use Windows sound driver to manage the printer?

  None of the four standard ways of printing seem applicable: ThinPrint because the host cannot use the printer.  USB because the printer is not a USB connector.  network / wireless because I do not have my old Mac running all the time.  Hello because I think that it requires that the host can see the printer.

  It certainly isn't a frequently asked Question.  Sorry, my situation is so unusual.  But the printer is special enough for the work that I do.  Any tips?

  If you have a router on your site then you should be able to connect the printer to the router, configure it as needed, and then accessing it in the comments as a network printer.  Note: The guest network should be configured as connected by a bridge to access in this way.

  Another option of network which is doable, but a little more difficult to set up, is to fix the printer directly on the Mac with a standard CAT5 Ethernet cable, not a Crossover as suggested in the Ethernet Port of Mac being automatic detection User Guide.  You would then manually configure the IP address, etc. on the printer and network bridged on the comments and even if Bridged his only access to the printer on this network adapter.  Then use a second network in the guest configured as NAT, if you do not also use Bridged on that, to enable the client to have access to other resources on the physical LAN to the host, such as Internet access, etc..

  Last week my company revised their policies to become compliant hitrust. As part of this compliance will be to lock the network to avoid data loss.   So to answer the marketing department, I've created allows the rules higher in the access list bypass essentially content which is now blocked large company. These rules tested OK using a windows pc, but I never imagined that the macintosh behave differently.

  To deal with the current administration, I created security groups in AD and added users to every function that the waiver has been approved for their Department. In the rules allow, I added the security group to each correspondent allowed access.

  What eventually comes past users on windows computers obtained their exemption through the rules allow, but macintosh users continued to be blocked by the large block of company rule. I then tried the ad user account name and same IP addess machine without success.

  My question is: is - anyone else in the community to come against this same question with their Macintosh and or does anyone have an idea to get these Macintosh computers for the rules of the game so to speak?

  MAC user can not be part of the windows domain. Have you integrated MAC for authentication AD? I've seen some messages on the internet about it, but I don't know if. I don't think this works for MAC users. The main thing is, user needs to be authenticated from AD and a logon event must be generated on AD (I think 4624). Bed user agent this event and then informs the CMF and that's how FMC learns on the mapping of the ip user.
