  You get the error "a Remote Assistance connection could not be established because the DNS name of the remote computer could not be resolved" when the requesting computer (the computer 'demand' help) sends its private IP address instead of its public IP address in the request for assistance. The solution is 'easy' for some and difficult for others. I present here for your perusal:

  (1) obtain the public IP address of the requesting computer (by visiting a web page such as http://www.whatismyip.com)
  (2) save the remote assistance request computers
  (3) modify the remote request for Assistance (RcBuddy.MsRcIncident) using a text editor (such as notepad) and replace the private - section of IP address should be something like this:
  RCTICKET = 65538,1,192.168.1.33:3389 «»
  with the public IP address from whatismyip.com or elsewhere - should be something like this:
  RCTICKET = 65538,1,74.125.47.147:3389 «»
  (4) save the file of RcBuddy.MsRcIncident 'new '.
  (5) double click it to connect to the computer needing help
  (6) cross your fingers and hope it works!

  I think you need to start with a new copy of the download.

  Messages, it seems that the installation has been done by executing the contents of a 7Z folder * in the temp directory.  It will work like installing previous files will have been renamed to change the experience of the stimulus.

• Is what I got - a real database?

  Huge apologies for a stupid question, but I need an opinion of knowledgeable people.
  
  One of our "partners" provided us with supposedly a database. I've never dealt with Oracle and have no idea if it's a real database.
  
  Is there a special extension of the files containing the data? The files contains a bunch of .dll, .ser files .jar and some others. I suspect (in fact, I'm 99% sure) is not a database at all, but rather a bunch of garbage. What do you think?

  .dll, .ser, average .jar of files that it is an Installation - what we call 'Software RDBMS' are sometimes what many people call "Database".

  Normally install you the software and then, using the software installed, create the database.

  Database files should normally have. DBF extension but there is no hard and fast rule. The ADMINISTRATOR can create a database with files with no extension, no matter what extension, any combination of extensions!

  (Windows File Explorer certainly cannot identify database files!).

• I'm not able to import my entire Outlook Express inbox what can I do?

  I need to improve my old but trust mail and Thunderbird selected, I downloaded it and it implemented most of my files and a few emails in my Inbox. Clearly all was not right so I read the help and uninstalled Thunderbird, set outlook express as the default e-mail, downloaded again Thunderbird client program and this time, that all the files were there with the emails within them - but the Inbox will hold about 5 emails... (It takes about 1 500) do not know how to get my old email in... is he a cheater like move all the email in the Inbox to a folder in e-mail temportary and then reinstall Thunderbird and then simply move the email in the folder temporary back to the Inbox?

  Uhm, it's a screenshot of Microsoft Outlook, not Firefox.

  The gibberish you see is likely (the screenshot has resized and is difficult to read) html of the email encoding. Try to go into the options to display, especially something in the sense of "display HTML.

  Hi all

  I upgraded my X 220 Win7 for Win8 using the upgrade option, not the clean install. I installed the latest drivers for power management, and I'm under Power Manager in Win7 compatibility mode. Battery life is still only 1/2 what I got on Win7, at best, despite the less memory resident programs and generally a lighter version.

  Any advice on that? I really liked never have to bring my charger with me, now I have to and it's more annoying. I don't understand why the battery life is so poor. The fan doesn't seem to be much more active if.

  Is that all that I could use to display energy consumption in case there is a culprit?
