What Internet connection is used?

When the laptop has 2 active Internet connections:

a wireless and Ethernet via a second cable which connection is being used by Windows?

/JAS

From my experience, Win7 will always choose to connect wirelessly, even if both are available.  It's because this is the default setting.  You can choose your own preference.

Priority setting wireless vs. Setting up a connection

View the network type connections in the text box above the start planet

Select view network connections

Press the Alt key to see the menu

Click on advanced and advanced settings

Here you see the priority for which the network is chosen first.  Change by using the arrows.

I am video creation for a Scout troop and a large part of the time that there is not internet where we camp. So, I'm looking for a version of first as the old version of CS6 I can use without having access to the internet.

No PP versions require an Internet connection to use on a daily basis.

A one month subscription to will have to check once a month to check the subscription.  If you buy a year both a third full, you can go up to 3 months without checking it in.

So unless these are long reeeeally camping trips, I think you're fine with the latest version of PP and I know that you are better off with 2015 as CS6 ergonomics point of view.

  • Cannot access microsoft over an internet connection by using the proxy to the office

Recently I can no longer access the Web site from microsoft, or support for microsoft over an internet connection in my office who uses a proxy server, so that the automatic systems update windows could not work well, and the bases of microsoft security might not regularly to update the definitions of viruses and spyware.
However, if I use an internet modem usb connection, then all problems can be solved, in my laptop, which means no protection of microsoft access. But when I use the internet connection via a USB modem, I can't connect to the local network in my office.

I already check on the filter of the proxy server and there is no protection of access to microsoft.
Why this happens and what I can do to get access to microsoft through the Internet using a proxy server in my office?

  • Do you need internet connection to use the software (photoshop, illustrator, insedign)?

Sometimes I work a lot in Africa, at sea. So I don't always have a connection. I have a monthly prescription. Problem is that if I don't have connection (Internet) and I opened the software. I get the question to permit the trial. License is not possible (Internet needs) and the lawsuit says it's expired.

  • Anyone else experiencing the random loss of internet connection while using character animator?

I seem to have a random loss of internet connection when performing character animator.

Look into this further. It seems not related to the animation of character since today, it seems to happen randomly when running a simple browser. I think that maybe it's just my old router is about to die. I deleted my DNS cache and renewed my IP address and reset my router, so I hope that's all it took. Otherwise, it may be time for a new router.

  • What should I do if I have an Internet connection for more than seven days?

My CC monthly subscription renews every month 7.  From my experience, it seems that my applications are verified / check with Adobe 8.  However, next month, I'm going on a trek on the 7th and will be without internet for 10 days.  As CC apps to stop working after 7 days of not being able to access your room, that's a problem.  Is there something I can do to make sure that my LR 5 install will continue to work for the duration?

    According to Adobe...

Do I need a continuous Internet access to use my apps desktop creative cloud?

Lol your desktop creative cloud (like Photoshop and Illustrator) applications are installed directly on your computer, so you won't need a continuous Internet connection to use on a daily basis.

An Internet connection is required the first time you install and your applications of office of license, but you can use applications offline with a valid license. Desktop applications will try to validate your software licenses every 30 days.

For annual members, you can use the applications up to 99 days in offline mode. For month members can use the software for 30 days offline.

Looks like you'd be ok, but I understand what you're saying, I hope a member of the staff will confirm.

  • Internet connection not working is not wireless, connected to two networks

I have a problem connecting to the internet via the wireless connection. With a cable, I can connect to the home network and the internet. However with the radio, I have local access to the home network. In the network and sharing Center, it shows that I am connected to the home network but also to another unidentified network. When I click the Diagnostics button to see why there is no internet connection, he said that the problem is that there is more than one connection and that I should remove one of them. When I disconnect the network or unidentified network, they have both disconnect. I tried to reset the wireless adapter, reset the router and do a system restore and none of these worked. • Problem with Internet connection - connect only after you turn off allowing then again.

It is a recent problem that unfortunately I have very little information on. In other words, after months be happy and connection to the internet when you start the computer has decided he won't d more, instead he wants to deactivate and then activate the connection to the local network before it will connect.

There is no error message and the convenience store could not find that something wrong then directed me here! I tried to diagnose too but didn't know what was wrong either. There are two computers connected through a router and the other is fine, ISP technical support assures me it's nothing to do with them either.

It left me speechless. I tried the system restore, I crossed the two diagnoses available in internet options and I called ISP support. Although this isn't a direct threatening problem, it's one of those little niggles you want just leave.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix things, I'd be grateful.

    Hi tmaxwell83,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. do you have security software installed on the computer?

    3. What is the type of internet connection you use?

This would happen if the NIC driver is corrupt or needs to be updated.

I suggest that you install the updated drivers for the network adapter on the computer by visiting the network card or the computer manufacturer Web site, the check if it works fine.

  • Satellite C660-258 - Internet connection issues

Recently, my laptop started to suffer serious problems when you try to connect to the internet.
My download and upload slow to a crawl (only for laptop)

Usually (according to speedtest.net) I get around a download about 4 but on my laptop it reaches maximum 0.09 dl.

Whenever I restart my laptop it works kind of during about 10 minutes (I get about a 1 download), but then it slows down to a crawl.

I confess that I am not the most tech savvy people so I only did the basics (turn it on and try again, other connections, reset the router, connect through a cable) but none of this has worked.

Any help you could provide would be most welcome.

    Hello

To be honest I don t understand your problem you have a problem with the internet connection is slow?

Usually, this is not a problem or computer in the system but the problem with the connection provided by the internet provider (ISP).

However, you compared the speed using LAN and WLan?
Did you check the internet connection by using other WLan hotspots or other WiFi network?

  • Problem with Vista and XP computers Internet connection sharing.

I have a host computer running Windows XP service pack 3, with an of Virgin Mobile Broadband2Go modem and a laptop computer with Vista. The host computer is connected to a Microsoft MN - 700 via a CAT5 network cable. The laptop is connected via a wireless connection. I'm sharing the Broadband2Go internet connection by using Internet connection sharing. I enabled sharing on the network, on the host computer connection. But the laptop does not connect to the internet. I can ping the host of the laptop, but cannot ping the laptop computer from the host. I have tried everything I can think of, to get the job of network. He worked, until Thursday. Thursday, there is some automatic updates installed on the host computer. They have been updated for security. I don't know if updates of security would have affected the network or not. All helkp would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Oscar

It is a facility that is complicated, because the host computer and the MN-700 can act as routers and DHCP servers, making it uncertain given the laptop its TCP/IP configuration.  Here are two ways to make it work:

    • Use the MN-700 as a router: connect the host computer to the "Modem" port of the MN-700.  To do this, interface LAN of the MN - 700 must have an IP address in a different subnet from the 192.168.0.x subnet that uses ICS.  The laptop will be able to ping on the host, but the host will not be able to ping from the laptop.

    or:

    • Use the MN-700 as a point of access only, not as a router: connect to the host computer to one of the MN-700 Ethernet ports and disable the DHCP server integrated of the MN-700.  Both computers should be able to ping each other.
