  • HP model #A6000n Bios Checksum error after update Bios!

    I did update the Bios posted on the Hp website... After the reboot, all I get is this error, "BIOS Checksum Error", the black screen then looks for a boot diskette drive (this computer has not), then it looks for a boot on the CD drive disc.  Now, I talked to HP support and they say I have to order the recovery disks.  Someone can send me a bootable file that I could burn it to a CD for this model machine and get it operational?  I have an older machine here that would allow me to make a bootable CD, but I have no idea where to find some sort of update of the BIOS and or file bootable to Flash the BIOS.  I am so angry that HP wanted me to buy this CD recovery program has just returned in Windows Vista.  But, I don't know what to do because the update of the BIOS must have been corrupted when I flashed the motherboard ASUS.  This computer is my aunts and she failed to save restore disks and now I'm lost as to lift this thing up and running... Help, please!

    Thank you!

    As I said, if you have a floppy is easy, especially since the computer diskette is XP. OK, let's go.

    (1) place the disk in the drive

    (2) open my computer and right-click on the floppy drive

    (3) choose the format on the menu that appears

    (4) put a check mark in the box "create an MS-DOS startup disk".

    5) click on 'start '.

    When 6) filled the awdflash.exe on the diskette copy

    (7) right click on the file of BIOS from HP

    (8) to move the mouse cursor in 7 - zip and click "open archives".

    (9) double click on the folder icon in the new window

    (10) right click on the ROM file - in this case 513. ROM

    (11) choose "copy to" from the menu and browse it on the floppy

    (12) when it is completed, the disk should be ready to work

    (13) move the floppy drive cable and the Ribbon in the Vista computer.  He didn't need to be mounted, but make sure that it does not touch something metal (participation of books will be good) and connect the water and the power supply to the motherboard and the power of the Vista computer (of course, it is done with both computers turned off and unplugged)

    Now ready to go on the Vista computer. When you press the power button on the computer, there will be a splash of HP come screen upward.  From this screen, press her "enter the BIOS' or 'Boot to install' as shown.  I forgot to ask if this screen appears in the previous posts.  If this screen does not appear then it will be much more difficult.

    When in the BIOS, look for boot order and then set it can boot from the floppy first.  Save the selection to get out.

    (14) reboot - should end up with a cursor blinking in the upper right

    (15) type AWDFLASH 513 rom/py/sn/cc , and then press ENTER.

    (16) when and if he finished power down and remove the drive from the computer disk

    That should do it.  If this does not work or there are problems come back with an explanation of what was happening.

    Of course, to do this at your own risk.  I'm just trying to help.

  • Help on Checksum error, BIOS freezes... Windows XP

    I have a desktop IBM 621932u.  Master 40g HD, 320g slave.  Operating system is Windows XP Professional.  He was not connected to the Internet since the 07.  I mainly use it for music production.

    I tried to connect a SONY HD TV to the video card.  Of course I had to change the screen resolution sizes.  Shortly after changing screen resolutions that would flicker the entire map video, then black.  I thought that it could not handle the HD TV.  I'm stopping with the power button because I couldn't see the screen click 'stop '. I reconnected my regular monitor to the video card and rebooted, reach out to the office.  To try to change the resolution of the screen to its original state, all of the computer froze and the screen went white.

    Upon restart, the computer would not let me go beyond the Professional Windows XP splash screen before the screen would go black and it would freeze.  I reached 44 attempts to restart failed (the cpu was told that).  It got to the point where I couldn't do it at the startup screen and it would freeze just after the BIOS splash screen.  I changed my BIOS back to default settings.  Nothing changed even after that.

    I checked my memory.  There are two sticks of memory.  Try to restart with a stick, then two, then alternating them and then finally let them all together (of course, this did not worked but what the heck right?)

    I had a hard drive of 40g with Windows XP installed.  He also wouldn't let me go beyond the XP splash screen!

    Then I had a checksum error, and the cpu does not load beyond BIOS.  I changed the battery, but it still freezes.  Occasionally, he would give me access to the XP splash screen, but it will freeze once a single bar flies through the screen.

    Once again, a mosaic of colors appeared on my screen to enter the BIOS.

    Sounds like you damaged your video card. Take it out and install a well-known work. If this is the problem, take the original video card. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • 'bad checksum' error when starting

    When I rebooted my computer, today, the ordinary boot process was interrupted by a black screen with an error message that says "bad checksum" and gave me the option to start anyway, or enter the configuration.  I chose to start instead of enter the configuration.

    After I submitted this question on the forum, I restarted my computer and got this error message (I typed exactly how it appeared on my screen)

    change of service configuration
    : Disk error
    Press F2 to continue, F1 to enter setup

    .. then I pressed F2 to continue and then the message 'boot sequence error' appeared for about 0.5 sec under the previous error message above, then my computer started as if nothing had happened

    I want to know what caused this 'bad checksum' error and the sequence/boot drive error and how to solve the problem (s)

    I have 32 bit Windows Vista Home Basic w / service pack 2

    Has anything changed summer on your system recently as new hardware or software installed any new updates?

    What kind of computer you have - laptop or desktop computer and what brand and model?
    This information will help us to help you solve this problem.

    Start by checking the file system corrupted system and check the hard disk for errors.

    To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
    Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
    Right click on cmd in the list programs, and then click Run as administrator.
    If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
    At the command prompt, type the following line and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
    When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved.

    You can help solve some computer problems and improve the performance of your computer by making sure that your hard disk has no errors.

    1. open the computer by clicking the Start button, click computer.

    2. right click on the hard drive you want to check, and then click Properties.

    3. click on the Tools tab and then, under check for errors, click check now.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    To automatically repair problems with files and folders that the scan detects, select automatically fix file system errors. Otherwise, the disk check will simply report a problem, but not to fix them.

    To perform a full disk check, select search and attempt to recover bad sectors. This scan is trying to find and repair physical errors on the hard drive itself, and it may take much longer to complete.

    To check for errors file and the physical errors, select both automatically fix errors in file system and search for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.

    4. click on start.

    Depending on the size of your hard disk, this may take several minutes. For best results, do not use your computer for any other tasks while it checks errors.

    Note: If you select automatically errors in file system of fix for a disc that is used (for example, the partition that contains Windows), you will need to reschedule the disk check for the next time you restart your computer.

    Send us information about your system and the results of these tests.
    Thank you

    Please guide me in detail for him.

    The first thing to check and change if you do not already have is the CMOS BIOS battery.

    It depends on the type of PC (desktop computer/laptop) and the brand and model. Search the support site of manufacturers for your brand/model of PC for all the guides.

    However, as a rule - http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000239.htm no need to download anything, just read as a guide. Note the static precautions etc.

  • Desktop M8000 giving Bios Rom Checksum Error

    Hello

    My brother-in-law gave me their old tower to see if I could not going again for their children to use, the decent machine actually, he had 2 internal hard drives in it and he said it was more than ever and lock up often.

    The pc don't was not start (sitting at an empty screen) even if it had worked before, so the first thing I did was to remove the two hard drives and their hung outside for my main pc, he said, I wanted to see if they were healthy and if they had the virus on them, etc.

    Health check, past, defragmented both drives them (OMG they were horrible) and on the storage disk ran a virus scan and spyware scan (zero problems) spybot seek and destroy and completely updated avast updated etc.

    On the main C drive, I did Defrag, ran the spybot captured about 10 things mostly of cookies, nothing horrible, then ran avast, it is 17 things in temporary files, remove hit at the end of the scan, re ran the scans and it came out clean.

    Then the two drives are checked as work/healthy, defragmented, virus and spyware cleaning, put it back in the system and I still get the screen white, but maybe 1 out of 10 times I get

    BIOS Rom Checksum Error

    Detection Decivce IDE ATAPI

    Detection Decivce IDE ATAPI

    Detection Decivce IDE ATAPI

    Found the CDrom, boot from it...

    But no matter what I (F-keys, deletion etc.) I can't get the pc to answer or do anything.

    I also removed and then re-inserted the cmos battery thought he could do something to help her back running but no luck, I have a new battery to install to try it but thought to take a few minutes of waiting and re - install could lead to something.

    The unit announces it will sound in case of errors, I get no flow in the readings or beeps, I just wanted to confirm on this.

    Cuz at this point, I checked the ram, hd, battery changed, makes the integrated reset cmos jumper option, but I don't always get anywhere then I suppose that its cpu or motherboard at this stage.

    Hello FTLOSM, reads that you list are fairly normal. A difference of one or two points on the readings should not be a problem, especially if the power supply is connected and powered. The 12 volt rails are mainly used for engines on the disks, so a small difference in the actual 12 volts would be well within tolerances. If 3.3 volts reading falls below 3 volts, then I'd be concerned.

    I would tend to think that the motherboard is the culprit, since it is rare that a processor will fail under normal circumstances.

    It usually takes a voltage spike to get a processor.

    Can you please help me to solve this error?

    Hi Andy,.

    each exclusion LC_ALL line contain the same value = "" pl_PL. UTF-8 ".

    All about UTF - 8 sounds good. LC_ALL is not necessary.
    Even your httpd.conf looks good on this part:

    AddDefaultCharset UTF-8

    But I found one thing in your ssl.conf on that I would take a look at:

    RewriteRule ^/$ https://%{SERVER_NAME}/apex\/f\?p=800$1 [R]

    AFAIK, rewriting must be able to encode all characters in non-ANSI like % xx hexadecimal codes in output if you turn it off:

    RewriteRule ^/$ https://%{SERVER_NAME}/apex\/f\?p=800$1 [NE,R]

    If in case you get already them coded, this will cause the encoding double that you see.
    You should check if all requests come this way. Otherwise, you should leave the unchanged original rule and add a rule (before this one) which is just success messages and does not change any other requests.

    If this isn't the solution, I have another assumption:

    ########## Our changes ######################################################################

    # P3P IE SSL Frame

    Header set P3P "policyref=\"/w3c/p3p.xml\", CP=\"NOI DSP COR NID CUR ADM DEV OUR BUS\""

    mod_headers (of course), so the headers are modified by this Manager. But I expect not usually an effect as what you see in this module, possibly the url is (re) coded here as well. You can try to check who is comment on this article or the line where mod_headers is responsible.

  • In SRM brings us to Checksum Error

    Hello

    I am facing a problem with the process of the MRU.

    I used the trigger Instead of, which performs an update and insertion.
    SRM process when initiated, goin through all the records in a tabular form.
    For this reason, when I try to update any particular existing record, application get Checksum error.

    To be more clear.

    Tabular extracts the records from two tables.

    An intermediate table contains the column Salary NULL for all employees, which means that these records must be inserted into the EMP table.
    Another is view based on the Emp table showing existing records with values of existing salary.

    Thus the user can insert the new employee by updating the wage or just update the EMP with the new wage.

    Thus, the tabular form will have these two records. Some cases without pay (these recordings for inclusion) and some records
    with the value of the salary (these files for update).

    So whenever I update the value of salary for exisitng record, SRM process initiated, and it loops through all of the recording in the form of tables.
    For this reason, whenever he sees anything that fails in the INSERTION of the trigger part, then the update of the real is not past and application
    get the checksum error. (Here we actually try to update the existing record and NO insertion of news)

    Another point that I want to share, that this error of checksum only when we try to update existing records that comes after any registration wth NULL TREATMENT

    Example:

    EMP NAME SAL DEPT
    *******************
    10 20 NULL Vijay //New emp must be inserted as soon as the user enters wage and submit.
    Riadh 20 100 30 / / already existing (IEM), juice of the salary update.

    When we try to update pay 100 for rezé he lifts the checksum error, because the first line of treatment NULL.
    If we have already some pay for Vijay, 2nd row update works fine.

    My hypothesis, MRU should refer only to the line that we change and carry out the process for this particular line.

    What is the behavior of MRU that it performs a loop through all records and changes/updates the value if necessary.

    Pointers on what would be really useful and appreciated!

    Thank you very much
    -Vijay

    PS: I am reproducing the same in OTN, once done I'd share the application. But, if you have the solution for this, please let us know.

    Hi Vijay,

    I think that you must use the onblur event to do this - that way, it must be able to manage using the keyboard or the mouse.

    I've updated the 'Attributes of the element' parameter for the new wage of:

    onblur="javascript:updateSalaryChange(this);" onkeyup = "javascript:moveUpDown(this, event);"

    and added a new function in the HTML of your page header parameter:

    function updateSalaryChange(s)
    {
      var p = s.parentNode;
      while (p.tagName != 'TR')
      {
        p = p.parentNode;
      }
      var c = p.cells;
      var j;
      for (j = 0; j < c.length; j++)
      {
        if (p.cells[j].headers == 'New Salary')
        {
          var newSalary = p.cells[j].getElementsByTagName('INPUT')[0];
          var oldSalary = p.cells[j-1].firstChild.nodeValue;
          var diffCell = p.cells[j+1];
          var statusCell = p.cells[j+2];
          if (newSalary.value != '')
          {
            diffCell.innerHTML = parseInt(newSalary.value) - parseInt(oldSalary);
            diffCell.innerHTML += '';
            statusCell.innerHTML = 'Pending';
            statusCell.innerHTML += '';

          }
          else
          {
            diffCell.innerHTML = ' ';
            diffCell.innerHTML += '';
            statusCell.innerHTML = 'Validated';
            statusCell.innerHTML += '';

          }

        }
      }
    }

    This gives a test to see if it makes now you need

  • CMOS Checksum Error Inspiron 570

    Recently, we had a power failure where the power came from top to bottom.  Once the power was restored, I turned on the computer and displays an error message (forgot exactly what he says) but there were two options (I think) F2 and F12.

    I searched online for this error message and it seems to indicate an issue that could be resolved by clearing the CMOS.

    So I removed the battery, set the jumper CMOS clear, waiting 30 minutes, put the jumper back and put the battery back in.   The message I saw was gone, but in its place, I get this message:

    CMOS Checksum Error
    Press F2 to start the INSTALLATION
    Press F1 to load default values and continue

    However, pressure on one of the buttons does nothing as if the keyboard entry is not registered.

    I tried another keyboard - no change.

    I tried a different battery - no change.

    I tried to use a barrette of ram - no change.

    There are no beeps at startup.

    What else can I try?
