What is a general file type?

Good day to you all. Just noticed a new file for photoshop 2015.5 extension (really a bit) but I've been curious regarding the General one?

Thank you

A. PSDT file is a Document Photoshop template, as one. DOT for word. The difference to normal. PSD file is that it opens as "Untitled" and requires you to save it in a new file, retaining the original to crush.

I was curious too and tested a minute ago.

It is above all an extension of Adobe: http://www.fileinfo.com/extension/pdd.  None of these programs can open files.

Here is a free product that I think will do the trick (although it does not specifically say the DPS files, I read an article from someone who has exactly your problem and this product was recommended: http://www.xnview.com/en/xnview.html.)

The following willl convert files DP in more readable (like JPG) file types- but it's a commercial product (even if it has a 30 day free trial, then maybe you can accomplish what you need in this period and then cancel the trial) - and then find a way to burn photos using a different file type. http://www.batchconverter.com/,

Here is a link to a bunch of file viewers and converters for Windows free (but I can't tell if they are compatible with Vista or if they deal with the DPS files because they do not provide enough information. http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/imageviewfreewin/Free_Image_Viewers_and_Browsers_for_Windows.htm,

    I hope this helps.

    Hi-

I stopped using the system restore, I found a better solution, for me, that's what I have to do.
Then I noticed that several 'file system' 'type' was being created, 12 times yesterday, 3 up to today in the early hours of the morning and stored in they System Volume Information folder, anywhere from 30 MB to 2 GB.
three of these file names 'file system' 'type' are:

    Hi John,.

Yes, you can delete the system volume information data if not to use the system restore.

You will need to give permission to the folder until you delete it.

CSV files, all seem to be coordinated with Excel?

Yes, send applications and programs can read the file type.

Even if you can't read / don't have excel installed.

I guess it's time for you to tell what service email program or email your help to go and import to export.

That even if you do not have excel,.

Click the Start button and click on your username at the top.

There is a Contacts folder where you can import these files touch and be able to see without using office excel.

  • Can't open associated application of unknown file type

I'm trying to download or open a file type of .psdata for which I have an installed application but when I click on the FF link simply opens the file that displays a page of binary data of course.

FF used to open this file correctly, but now it does not.

    Thank you

With what type of content is the server send the file?

    • Tools > Page Info > general

If Firefox displays the file in a tab, then it is likely that the server sends the file as text/plain.

  • I set firefox to open a file type (.) SGF) w / a program, but it doesn't, so I put it to save/apply and no work option, it always opens file link in a new tab.

I went into Options and set the. SGF with Smartgo open file. He refuses to do. Clicking on a link to one. SGF file simply open the file as a text in a new tab.

Given that it did not work, I tried to get firefox to download instead, because then I can open it using the window file type associations. It will not download the file, unless I actually do a right-click and save-as in the link.

It is tedious when displaying a lot of these files. I even put it to wonder after seeing the download option did not work. He don't ask me. What happens here?

    Also, I use firefox 23

EDIT: It seems to be the specific Web site. Some sites will allow me the option to open it in Smartgo, others just it open in a tab in the form of text. What is causing this gap and can it be overcome thanks to the browser settings?

A sample Web site to highlight the issue is:
    http://igokisen.Web.FC2.com/WR/LG.html
clicking on one of these links will not download, open, or ask questions about what you want to do with the file.

What happens if the server sends the file as text/plain.
You can see if you open "tools > Page Info > general": Content-Type: text/plain

Sent files that this way is always open in a tab.

  • What happens to a file at the end of playback of a file reference?

    Question general file IO.

If I'm reading a binary file and the read operation reaches the end of this file, what happens to the file reference?  It exist in memory at this time, or is he out once labview publishes the end of file error?

I coded a "departure" from playback and functionality 'stop' and the 'Stop' button is the only method in place for the closing of the reading file reference.  Immediate sights are

    (a) what is happening to the reference of the file once the read operation reaches the end of the file

    (b) it is important that I have never close the reference of the file once the user clicks on 'stop '?  (i.e. is it a best practice out there?)

I'm under Labview 8.6 on Vista Business.

The file reference is valid when you reach the end of the file. Each read operation returns an error, but you can write to this location. Writing will succeed because it's normal when you add data to a file.

Close the reference when the user types stop is OK. If you implement a Replay button that you just need to reposition the pointer at the beginning of the file file and read again. This avoids the need to close and reopen the case.

  • not sure which file types to delete in disk cleanup

Am on the single computer in a small office in which I am the only computer 'savvy' around.  The machine gets very rare attention to the son of the Manager of the office and has many performance problems.  Want run Disk Cleanup and release much more memory, but I'm fearful of removing too much and should draw the attention of my control obsessed boss I had taken this initiative.  Can someone help me know what are the factors to consider in deciding which file types to select?

    LC

In General, you do not remove any type of file.  I doubt that "clean up" the disk improve performance much but if you want you can run t he Disk Cleanup Wizard that will remove temporary files and other.  It is quite safe.

You can tell us more about performance issues.

  • Icons of file type for the .docx files are incorrect

I started with a version of Microsoft Excel and Word Starter on my computer, but once I started University, I had to install a trial version of Office Professional. Since I installed the trial version and then uninstalled the starter version, my icons of file type for the .docx files resemble white pieces of paper. However, all other types of files shows an icon of Microsoft Word, such as for example .rtf files. Only the .docx icons are incorrect on the hard drive of the computer and to a flash drive I carry school (icons are correct on the flash drive on the school computers).

I noticed several instances of this question which arises and have tried the following:

    (1) I gone through Control Panel and repair of Microsoft Office Professional 2010 (and restarted the computer).
    (2) I tried to check the default program for the .docx file type and he was placed to Microsoft Word. I have reset WordPad and return to the floor, but that did not always help.
    (3) I tried the command refresh of Cache icon through the Run dialog box.
    4) went through the registry to check the icon for docxfiletype, but my problem with this is that the icon for Microsoft Word is not a default system icon.
I don't know what else I could try to fix this and I really should leave him alone because my files opens properly, but I think it's very boring and for some reason any he just in general that bothers me.
Any other suggestions would be welcome!

  • Can I change the default file type to save as? For example, JPG instead of the default DSP.

    Greetings,

I would really like to know if I can get Photohop to use another type of file by default when I save money, instead of PSD.

I generally save my files in JPEG format, so this would allow me to save a lot of time not having to use the drop down menu from PSD to jpg.

I looked in preferences and settings, but I couldn't find anything. I tried to look online, but I couldn't find anything related to what I was looking for.

    Thanks for any advice.

No such thing. PS will respect the existing files file type, but any newly created file or an image file that contains the operations that cannot be stored in an image format "fool" to happen to PSD / PSB or TIFF in layers / extended. Or in other words: PS may not know that you may want to reject the additional data that it can maintain and is perhaps being too much of a protective mother hen...

  • Missing Codec required or not file type supported

    First Elements 7.

I try to import a simple sound effect of a *.au file.

Before any not the file, saying: "this file type is not supported, or the required codec is not installed. (see attached screenshot).

What can I do about it?

Remember this audio editor, Audacity, I linked in another thread? It will open. To THE files and then allow you to save (convert) to WAV.

While the PrE can treat a lot of different file formats (and of the CODEC), it can not handle all. Even with the video. I highly recommend that you enter a workflow, where any audio, which is not PCM/WAV, convert to PCM/WAV before importing the file. It's the same thing with video - convert into something that meadow can work easily with.

This method solves a lot of problems and will generally decrease overhead that the program needs to work.

    Good luck

  • What is an xml file and how to find a missing one?

What is an xml file? How to find one that is missing?

In short, an XML file is a file structured data - in other words, it stores the data in a way that is easy for a computer scan and read, but it is also easy(-ish) for a human to read, too.

Generally, XML can be used for configuration or preference data, or for the exchange of data between applications, but there are a multitude of possibilities.

This means that, with regard to the resolution of your problem is concerned, that was no help. The whole point of XML is that it is easy for any application store some data he needs, so you need to be more specific on what application you are using and what XML file it is looking for. Only then can someone (possibly) steer you in the right direction.
