• How to set up a "dummy" or "virtual" port

  Hi, I'm relatively new to Labview programming.  I work with the NI USB-6212.  I was wondering if it is possible to create a "dummy" or "virtual" port, so I can finally create a port for example line output. port0/line16.  Basically I want some bits to go to this line and the "status quo".

  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  There are several ways to address the issue and how you will use this 'virtual' Port is one of the choice between the methods.

  The easiest way is to create a USB-6212 simulation:

  Interfaces and select Max devices

  Right click > create new > DAQmx simulated device or modular instrument

  Expand + M series: DAQ and select NI USB 6212.

  You'll be able to create scales channels etc. that are appropriate for a tasks OR USB 6212 assistant DAQmx will treat it as if it was true, and you can try the task and, LabVIEW code call a task on a simulated device will work just fine.

  The down side is when you actually get material its often difficult to retarget the tasks for using the real device (no option to send the task... no option to replace the device with...) Do not hesitate at the idea of Kudos. If you need to change the task or swap device names and which is not infallible.

  Another option that I use for my development (and, I code by intention... very rarely have any material or simulated in my cube)

• VCB to backup server with HP's Eva and Dell AX4 storage systems

  I have two storage systems connected to a backup server. It is installed on Windows 2003 Server x 64 PowerPath5.2. Windows see each storage only once, so I think that multiple paths to the storage works correctly.   Next step would be to check a second time your zoning and lun masking. There could be a conflict with the various mpio drivers between eva and the clariion. I would try to remove all mpio drivers too.

• Sierra of MacOS - 50-100GB of storage system?

  Hi all

  I have a Macbook Air from mid-2013 with 120 GB of SSD storage. I have updated my OS sierra and noticed that the 'system' takes up 100 GB of storage! I tried to delete my files, but for some reason, I still has a very high amount of the storage system.

  I decided to clean my computer everything and do a clean install. With the clean install, I have 50 GB of storage of the system. This sounds like a ton of storage used for system to me. Is this typical? I remember that a lot of space in the Yosemite/El Capitan.

  120 GB SSD storage does not work. What you need, it is 10 times this amount of storage and memory far more to have a working machine. Got a HD big or better get a new machine and couple HDDs connected outside your small computer.

  If the user grants permission for a site to exceed the quota of 50 MB IndexedDB, then as much as I know Firefox is no limit more. The only limits on the size of the IndexedDB database will be the disk space of the user and operating system.

  The quota of localStorage is 5000KB and there is no way for a web site asking the browser for permission to store more than that amount in localStorage.

• Storage system problems

  I just opened the tab "about this Mac" and headed over to storage to see what the levels were. And to my surprise, I found a section called 'backups '. I am posting this because I've never seen this before on my Mac after having owned it for almost 4 years now. Please see attached. I would like to know where it is stored and why it now makes its appearance in my storage system. Thank you.

• What are the requirements of the system for the labview runtime engine 2011

  I'm looking for (ideally 2011 release) LabVIEW runtime engine requirements. The only information I can find a few States what operating systems it supports. I am eager to check the specifications of a target (Touch Panel computer - probably running Windows XP Embedded), to allow this execution. More precisely the amount of non-volatile storage system required - because we will need to specify a CompactFlash card. Clearly the application exe take little space like XPe will, but I'm eager to know the needs of the TENS.

  You can also follow this step to do the same thing:

  a. open the Manager of devices by clicking the Start icon, click runand type devmgmt.msc and press ENTER to open the Device Manager.

  b. double-click the type of device you want to update or change.

  c. right click on the device driver specific, you want to update or change.

  d. click set to update driver to open the Hardware Update Wizard. Follow the instructions in the wizard.

• USB 0001 virtual port for UsB not found

  When inatalling a Xerox Phaser 8560DN to my laptop HP Win 7 professinal it does not find the virtual USB 0001 port for UsB. I installed the printer even to other laptops and no prblem. When you come to select the port the virtual prot is tehre but not so much in this laptop and HP peole say it is not their problem. Any suggestions on what to do?

  You don't see any other virtual ports except USB 0001?

  Follow these steps and check if that helps:

  1. go in Control Panel.
  2 Select all Control Panel items.
  3. open devices and printers.
  4. at the top of the window, select Add a printer.
  5. Select Add a local printer.
  6. If you want to choose a Printer Port, select use an existing port.
  7. in the drop-down list, select USB001 or USB0002 (virtual printer to USB Port).
  8. Select the next button.
  9. in the manufacturers section, select HP.
  10. in the printers section, search for your printer model and select it.

  Note: If your printer does not appear in the list of HP, select nearest LaserJet series model number.

  Click the Windows Update button. WU get the database driver for all HP printers.

  Note: the search may take a while.

  When the search is complete, go back to the HP section and your printer should now appear there. Select it and click the next button.

  Your printer appears in the printer name box, click Next again and the printer will be installed.

  So I'm digging the Cisco C210 boxes.  I have several held so far.

  Just got a B series.    I feel like I'm back to Catholic school being scolded!   Hate me this thing! :-)

  I went through a laboratory firefly book to familiarize yourself with the configuration.    I "think" I have everything set up properly...

  I created a service profile, so I could in a few clicks apply to all four of my servers.  When I apply I get

  Good old google wasn't able to help me with this one.  I'm old-school Call Manager and person of Contact Center.  This virtualization stuff is very recent.  No experience with SAN.

  Is anyone able to tell me that I may have missed the error?

  What WWPN pool is configured for the HBAs in your service profile?

  We can if expected this error message when we use the option 'Default material' and that the blade is installed with Cisco M81KR adapter (it does not have burnt in address WWPN)

  If this is the case, then try to create a WWPN pool and configure the service profile / HBAs to use WWPN from the pool.

  Hello

  Update the WiFi driver - if built-in check with the site of the manufacturer of the system. Then check with the real
  site of the manufacturer of the device if possible. Of course, if a separate device then check with its creator. If not most recent
  driver, then re - install the original.

  The virtual Port is used to allow other WiFi devices to connect to the internet via your computer

• The storage system upgrade

  What risks are there to my ESXi cluster by performing a storage system, level as on a VNX and how serious is the risk (i.e. the temporary loss of connectivity when failover path to the secondary controller, performance degradation, etc.)?  I use Fibre Channel and I need to upgrade the software of OS of OE on my VNX.

  If zoning is configured properly (i.e. of access roads to the SPA and SPB) ESXi, you shouldn't really notice an interruption but simply switch paths to the lun. If you run very high workloads, you should consider to upgrade during off-peak hours (the pre-upgrade check will determine the load of the CPU on the SPs and warn you if it is too high for an upgrade). I just upgraded a few unified of the VNX5400 systems and it took about 3 hours for the upgrade file and block OE.

  Our client uses 'Route based on originating Virtual Port ID' to balance the load. Ayone know the ESX CLI command that shows the Virtual Machine <>= vmnic in this setting?

  There was a network problem in the customer environment, and I need to know what VM is linking to what (vmnic) uplink on the vswitch about? Or ESX does not show this explicit mapping through any tool?

  Then, I set up a storage Cluster with my local disks on dv01 (only to date)

  LocalVM disc dv01-BOOT and dv01-VMFS disk of the 'cluster of storage.

  I have a computer virtual called DC01 (HardDisk1) want to live on 'Boot' profile storage drive
  His "Non-compliant" poster according to the storage profile, it should run on drive 'boot' on dv01

  To get to this point, I put the StorageCluster in Mode of Maintenace 'DTS' and forced a sVmotion of all virtual machines off dv01-BOOT

  No disks are IO or claim of space.

  But once I take the 'DTS Maintenacne mode' STARTUP dv01 floppy is now get the DTS to return him to satisfy the storage profile (rule) I install... IE do the 'storage profile' VM complient (without doing a few externall API, the PS script or the 3rd party software calls)... ??

  Seems weird it is (or may be) such disconnection of a memory of the profiles and the StorageClusters and the DTS?

  VSphere API documents - AddDVPortgroup_Task, the task does not return the reference to the newly created DVPortgroup. I know that some functions participated once, it's 'info.result' contains the object that has been created, but in the case of DVPortgroup, you will need to ask for it.
