What is "c: / program hidden folder files/Windows apps and why I can't access it?"

Hey there,

Make certain to play and ran through the hidden folder mentioned in the title. There is one account of course on our Surface, full administrator access and I was wondering what it is and why I can't access it. When I try to access the folder, I get the following:

"You don't have currently not allowed access to this folder. Click on continue permanent access to this folder. »

Then, like a good boy, I click on continue and...

"You have been denied permission to access this folder."

But wait... I can click on a link hyper to the Security tab, Ok...

"You must have read permissions to view the properties of this object. Click Advanced to continue. »

Don't panic!

"You must have read permissions to view the properties of this object. Click on continue retrying with administrative permissions. »

Okey Dokey!

Takes me of course to features advanced security where it is said the owner of the folder is "Trusted Installer" and "directors" shows correctly with the settings read and execute access to this folder, subfolders and files.

Can someone please clarify what this file is for and why there is a folder on my RT Surface that I can't access?

Thanks for reading,

To do this >

Open CMD as mentioned above write this >

TAKEOWN /F "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps" r d Y

(Whit quote... better to copy paste... only he)

that way, you'll see hundreds >

Success: the file (or folder): XXX blah blah blah

and wait, it stops.

then again type this >

ICACLS "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps" / grant administrators: F/t

You may see nothing... a moment... then... .boooooom :D

After that, you will see something like: the files successfully treated XXXXX; Treatment failure 0 files

If its exactly like this "failed processing 0 files" then your done good... and go have fun

Thanks to Lydia Rohit... I just corrected the mistake on his part (cuz paths of Pentecost of spaces need quotes)

(After having done all that, you cannot get change permissions... fix too copy the file in the other place, modify, delete the first file and then add your file modified in the folder)
