  First of all, you must completely remove Norton product you have because it has never protected anything whatsoever and has just been slowing down your Mac all those years.  Therefore, you will never miss it.

  Second, if you use a modern version of Mac OS, you wouldn't need any security software because Mac never received subsequently and still haven't.  Installation of security software 3rd party on a Mac is the potential to make your Mac less secure than it was without him.

  Finally, OS 10.6.8 is not supported since early 2014.  So, even if it's a Mac, it may simply not yet use this computer on the Internet more.  Therefore, it is time to move your business forward and invest in a new Mac and the new Adobe software.  You can now subscribe to the new Adobe products for a lot less you would have already paid to buy them in the past.

  On XP Pro, you turn off Simple file sharing in Folder Options > View menu.

  With XP Home, you are usually asked to boot mode safe... but on the Home version, that Simple file sharing can also be temporarily disabled with a registry change.

  I am researching APEX security audit tools. I knew Enkitec eSert but looks like it is not available any longer. I also found ApexSec but few things. I searched here as well but see no real list of recommended tools to analyze your application / security vulnerabilities, so I ask myself the question in the case: that you use to perform security /vulnerability audits of your APEX Applications? Looking for idea is looking more far. Any input would be appreciated.

  There are several tools that can help you (sorry if I missed it)

  ApexSec online is free - ApexSec Online

  The Adviser of the APEX - contains a few security checks

  The QA - QA - region-Plugin plugin

  The packaged integrated application "Application standards Tracker.

  eSERT - as you say, this seems to have been abandoned, links to the cloud version no longer works.

  Also advise and the ApexSec, the other two are a framework where you can insert your own SQL to query the metadata of the APEX for security issues. But you will need to provide the queries. Some controls are not difficult, such as the verification of all pages have session state protection, other controls are extremely difficult.

  I could tell several great things on ApexSec but I'm extremely biased so you should just try and draw your own conclusions.

  I configured a test of internal company environment VMware View 5.1 to access pooled VMs dedicated and linked clone of iPads.

I think so... But I find no such beast in VMware not downloads section called 'VMware View Security Server 5.1.'

  I'm in a bit of mess. My understanding on Internet clients see how external access to the server of company internal connection through the DMZ must be leaves much to be desired unless 5.1 view connection server itself has absorbed the activities of the Server VMware View 4 security and he is riding on the area demilitarized or well... Oh hell... I'm just confused

  3rd party security applications tend to cause more trouble than they solve.

  iPads are a system of closed sandbox, and so no security Apps can run on them for the same reasons that no virus can infect.

  As long as you exercise caution and use only reliable sites and Apps, you should be fine.

  I am looking at options invovling traffic inspection using duplication of port on the server virtual networking within ESXi to help with things like intrusion detection and identify anomalies in network traffic indicating potential security events.

  The question is, if I deploy a solution that does this by becoming a destination port of a traffic of mirroring session, which are the gains that I receive by identifying anomalies and intrusion detection is worth, given the increased risk of the collector receives all the images in the output of virtual machines in my environment?

  I think that it is worth IDS, analytical, but if your system is enough big enough, then you can to deliver these items via a virtual device of Gigamon to be handled by other cool tools.

  The real question will be if you do that, you have a fairly large SIEM to analyze all the possible events and correlate all your networks. If your intention is to analyze the traffic to determine what is wrong and what is not, then what is the tool that you will use for this and how does fit in your network to provide the best response times. If your answer is too slow then something reaches you. An active response is essential, but having the data to do is even more.

  If you don't have a tool, then design what you want and then choose a tool which will work according to your specifications.
