In this example, 6 and 7 means seconds, rest for 4 to 5 minutes and position 2 to 3 hours. What does the 1 stand?

  • What is 'Quickactionbox' appliction? He is constantly provide in the list of applications that are running in the Task Manager on several occasions.

Here you can see the problem. What is this thing?

    Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

According to the description of the problem some application named QuickActionBox is running and showing in the Task Manager.

If you think that this application is not known to you and you think that's not important, then you can uninstall it in the list of programs. But before you uninstall this application, I recommend to create a system restore point and try to uninstall the application so that if this application is important, then you can come back to this point again.

To create restore point, you can see the article mentioned below.

A restore point is a representation of a stored state of your computer's system files. You can use a restore point to restore system files from your computer to an earlier point in time. Restore points are created automatically by the restore of the system each week and when System Restore detects the beginning of a change to your computer, for example when you install a program or a driver.

    Create a restore point

You can uninstall a program from your computer if you no longer use, or if you want to free up space on your hard drive. You can use the programs and features to uninstall programs or to change the configuration of the program by adding or removing certain options.

    Uninstall or change a program

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

  • Need a list of what I can stop using the Task Manager to help play games that are hanging up or jump or stopping programs.

I know how to stop most of the programs running in the back ground by using the Task Manager and the process tab.  But, I click "Show processes from all users" list is double what it was.  I need a list of what I can finish process without going through the computer off and restart or with on dreaded blue screen.  So I ask if anyone has a list of processes that are sure to stop?  Thanks in advance, Frankster195

  • Intermittently after the reboot, the option "Hide when minimized" in the Task Manager Win XP is too effective; the CPU usage icon does not appear in the notification area. Sometimes restart heals, sometimes not.

The Options menu of the Windows Task Manager includes "hide when minimzed ', to display an icon in the area of notification, but not on the traskbar. I leave that option checked all the time to control the percentage of processor; but sometimes without apparent cause, after I reboot there is no icon in the area. Is there a way to fix this?

    Hello ronks,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

The reason for which the icon is not in the system tray is because the Task Manager is closed not minimized when you start your computer. To do this, you could do the following:

    -Go to my computer > C: > Windows > System32
    -Locate in Taskmgr
-Create a shortcut > right click on the shortcut > click on cut
-Navigate to my computer > C: > Documents and Settings > username (your username) > Start Menu > programs > startup
    -Paste in the startup folder

-Right click on the shortcut > click Properties
-Less run > pull down the menu and select Minimized > click OK > close window

Now every time that you restart the Task Manager will be launched in a minimized state.

    Hope this helps Chris.H

What is dhf systray indicated in the Task Manager in windows XP

    Hello

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Communities.

According to the description of the problem, it seems that you try to know dhf systray.

It seems to be a virus, so I suggest you analyze your computer Microsoft Safety Scanner, it will help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Probably, you have just 6 case of Chrome running for the single facility.

  • When I open the Task Manager and select "Show processes from all users" there are 2 files virus csrss.exe?

    original title: virus csrss.exe?

I use Vista Home Premium.  When I open the Task Manager and select "Show processes from all users" there are 2 files csrss.exe.  I learned that this indicates that I was infected by a virus.  Is this the case?

    Hi Julie,.

Did you the latest changes on the system?

Csrss.exe is Client/Server Runtime Subsystem.  All the Microsoft system has file csrss.exe running in the Task Manager, but it is likely to be infected by others. If it uses a lot of time processor and extremely abnormal in activities in the Task Manager, you can run a scan of the system security.

You can read the following article to download the Microsoft Safety Scanner and perform a full scan on your computer.

Note: When you perform the analysis, there are chances of losing the data that you can take a backup of important data before performing analysis.

  • Outlook stops responding. The Task Manager is unable to stop it. Then, the Task Manager is not responding. What is the problem

My Dell 1720 runs on Windows Visate Home Premium. Sometimes, Outlook stops responding and will not recover. I launch the Task Manager to stop the program. He is unable to stop Outlook. After several attempts, the Task Manager is no longer in effect. Sometimes I get the message that Windows Explorer has stopped working. What is the problem please?
    George

    Hi George,.

3rd party applications and malware are often cause for this. Have you tried the clean boot such as suggested above (that isolates the background application that could cause the problem)? Also try to run a full scan with your antivirus.

  • What happened to the Task Manager?

until recently, on my XP and Vista OS, bringing to the top the task as Manager provided other assistance in drop-down menus for the functions - but NOW displays only the display of the window Task Manager running programs and their status - and all the other menus are gone - what gives, and how do I access these related menus now?

If it's "progress" of MS, * I * don't really care for him!

Open the Task Manager, and then double-click just inside the border. This should return to normal appearance.

  • What is nvvsvc.exe process running in the Task Manager?

Hello - What is this nvvsvc.exe (v v w no) running in the Task Manager? Eatting a lot of memory, don't let me put an end to the process, won't tell me where it is located, (I opened to display all files and folders), I can't locate with search, I can't find it in: / c in System 32 files or 64. • The Task Manager > start > "there is no startup item to display? What is happening with my system?

Long story short say, I just refresh my PC because it is having problem at the start of the system.

After having updated the system and install a few programmes and I realized the BOOT parameters (Task Manager > startup) indicates "there is no startup item to display. I mean, it's crazy isn't?

Someone help, please help, what can I do to make the START to return to normal settings?

    Thank you in advance!

Having the same problem.  The 'start' in the Task Manager tab is empty, even though I checked that there are indeed elements in the key of HKCU\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run as well as in HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run key.

For some reason any the Task Manager no longer shows nothing in the Startup tab.

I've learned since this tab can be quite finicky.  For example, delete the startup of your local directory of programs folder can cause to return empty.

    I had deleted this folder:

    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Once, I restored the folder, the start in the Task Manager tab started working again.

Firefox worked fine on two days back. Our norton expired so I downloaded Kaspersky Anti-virus 12.0.0.374. I don't know if that has a relationship with firefox does not.

I click the icon, nothing happens. The task is not mentioned in the Task Manager.
