  I am in this situation right now. Moved to a much larger organization. I spent a ton of time going through the programs, documentation, integrations, etc., but after awhile, it's all just words on a page and not absorbed.

  The biggest thing that I recommend is to learn how and why things are made the way they are currently, ask lots of questions, don't assume not that things work the same as they did with your previous employer.

  Download some base in place level benchmarks to demonstrate additional improvement.

  Make a list of tasks in the long term. As a new pair of eyes, make a list of things you'd like to improve.

  There are a handful of individuals who are still monitoring and responding to this forum (4 years later) and I respect your advice.
  

  Regarding notes dialing number.

  • You mention that you use InDesign book to combine the different chapters in a single EPUB export: for each of these various documents, check the following: Type > Options Document reference. What is the number of defined starting to for each of the documents? They pursue all sequentially the last issue of the previous document in the book? It could be that you skipped a number there may be?
  • Otherwise by manually changing the numbers could inadvertently "broken" anything. You cannot manually select the number in the text of the note at the bottom of the page and change the number, that will not update the number of reference in the text. Your notes would be out.

  I'll assume you have console access, go to the data store where the configuration of the virtual machine is stored. Edit the file and look for the entry "uuid.location" and simply change the first two numbers to do anything, say 11 and then save the file.   Please check your processes that are run in the context of the BONE. You can also use the application called CNettoyez.

  I know that this question was asked a thousand times before, but what is the best way and the most reliable to deal with different screen resolutions?

  I read a lot of posts about it and tested on everything: unique, methods, combinations, let labview scale my objects, their scale by myself, etc. Another alternative that I found was to design the front panel to the lower screen resolution, let labview scale objects (graphics, controls tab and decorations) as window increases or decreases and lock "groups of indicators, controls and text" to prevent them from scaling and overlap. However, if I lock these "groups" that they don't move in the right place in the resizing of the window. Then, I put these 'groups' within groups and tried to compensate for the position via the property node, but it was not possible because the 'groups' within the cluster have been locked!

  After all these tests, I realized that the best way to manage different screen resolutions must have a main VI that detects the current screen resolution and load the good VI for this resolution. The problem is that I have a VI for each screen resolution (created one by one) and if I want to move the code I have to do the same task for all the screws

  Since I already have all the screws (for different screen resolutions), I could get the sizes and positions of all the objects through property nodes and create a kind of 'cluster' which, after the detection of the current screen resolution, would be to adjust all the objects.   I think I can summarize the conversation on this point as a response to the original question (what is the best way...) -to start writing code, to think about what you want to accomplish and write it down (otherwise known as 'Write the first Documentation').  One of the points of a good User Interface is that it is not allow users to "stupid mistakes" - it leads the user "by hand", limiting the entries to the "legal values" and demanding that the entries be made logically.

  If you were going to have a list of Infusions to enter, it is therefore logical to decide or not to enter into time intervals (which are always > 0) or order the times (which, logically) are still growing.  You can (and should) decide that you (or you may have a control that allows the user decide, but maybe it's too flexible) and then apply your "rules".

  Let's say you've decided on "Intervals" (which seems to me to be more User Friendly).  After the user has entered the intervals (and you've provided a nice plot of perfusion vs. time), pouvez allow you the user to an interval of 'split', 'Delete' an interval, or "Edit the Infusion" interval, or you can decide to have a choice more simple "accept or start again" - If you have only a few intervals, the last would be the simplest (and therefore best) design choice.

  A loss of main surface within each user profile would be penchant of EI for the storage of copies (or much) of almost every web page, your friend has already visited.  Try to reduce the amount of temporary Internet files put in cache, which is huge by default.  I always bring it back to a maximum of 50 MB.  In Internet Explorer, click on tools > Internet Options > general, temporary files > settings.

  Same principle for the Java cache. Start > Control Panel > Java > temporary Internet files > settings.

  The System Volume Information is the folder in restoration of which WinXP system feature stores information to retrieve errors.  By default, Windows XP sets aside a maximum of 12% of the size of the partition to store the information of the System Volume, but the amount of space reserved for this purpose can be adjusted by the user.  Start > all programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > System Restore Settings, select the relevant partition and click settings.  If you don't want to use the system at all, restore simply to turn off System Restore (start > all programs > Accessories > system tools > system, System Restore settings restore) and restart.  This will remove all your Restore Points, thus freeing up hard disk space.

  An another great space waster may be trash.  By default, it takes up to 10% of the capacity of your hard drive. On today's big hard disks, it's a lot of waste.  It can be set to a lower limit by right clicking the desktop Receycle Bin icon, select Properties, and using the scroll bar to reduce the maximum size to something more reasonable - 1% to 2% should be more than enough space.
