What is the difference between levels 1 to 4 of the performance monitoring? What is the default level?

Collection and levels of collection intervals are two things that are used to monitor and collect statistics of performance for entities.

Research in detail what intervals of Collection and collection levels mean:

Collection intervals determine the duration for which the statistics are gathered. VirtualCenter currently has four intervals of collection: day, week, month and year.

Every interval between two collections has a default collection level that determines how the counters are used when collecting statistics. Default collection-level is set to 1 (because the minimum number of counters). This level is configurable and can be set from 1 to 4.

For more details on the intervals of the collection and the collection level (with respect to the measurements taken at each level), please see the "Collecting statistics" section, page 281 base System Administration Guide.

Hope that the information above will clarify your doubts regarding the level of default collection and what they mean.

  • Difference between the foreign key index and secondary index

    Hello

Suppose we have two primary databases,

    Employee (id, company_id)

    Company (id, name)

(where: the employee of the company is one to many, and I use the collections API)

If we want to perform a join between the employee and the company based on the ID of the company. I want to know the difference between the following two options:

1 - construction of a secondary index on the Employee (company_id). call this index index1. Then, we use the following code:

    For each company c
    index1.get (c.ID)

2 - construction of a foreign key on Employee (company_id) index where the database of foreign key was undertaken. call this index index2. Then, we use the following code:

    For each company c
    index2.get (c.ID)

    I have two questions:

1 - What is the difference between these two options in terms of performance?

    2. I know that one of the benefits of the foreign key are the application of integrity constraints (CASCADE, CANCEL, etc. to DELETE). That declare a foreign key to give me any advantage when I want to do a join? (for example a quick method, or a single statement to a join)

    Thank you
    Wait.

It doesn't matter what the example, the only advantage of a foreign key index (above, the benefits of a secondary index) is that it imposes of foreign key constraints. There is no other advantage to a foreign key index.

  • What is the difference between the service SmartNet and SMB level

    Good afternoon

I would like to ask if what is the difference between Cisco SmartNet and Cisco SMB service level?

    Thank you

    Hey Rey,

SMARtnet covers traditional Cisco products (products of the company IE.) ISR routers), Small Business Support Center covers the line of small business.

In the Group of the UC products, for some reason, Cisco believes the UC520, AP521, and WLC526, which are small business to be traditional Cisco products and brand SMARTnet are covered. But, the UC540 and the UC560 are covered by HWC. A major difference in the area of the CPU is the support for CLI vs CCA config.

However, I noticed your message in small business - class switches. If you have a switch of small business people who are covered by HWC not TAC. HWC will support the CLI and web gui configuration of switches in small businesses, where the CLI is applicable to the model.

HWC contracts tend to be 3-year periods and can be significantly cheaper than SMARTnet agreements.

    Hope that helps.

    Best,

    David

  • What is the difference between a triangle wave, waveform of the triangle and the triangle pattern

To generate a waveform of triangle, I have 3 vi I could use. Signal Processing-> generation of signals-> Triangle wave.vi, Signal-> signal generation processing-> Triangle Pattern.vi, programming-> wave->-> generation of waveform analog waveform-> Triangle waveform.vi.

What is the fundamental difference between these 3. I understand that all 3 have a different set of entry and I can use them according to what combination of input data that I have. Are there any special cases for which each is used?

You should get really understand DAQ and the difference between the data types. When you create a waveform data type, the data type includes timing information. For the acquisition of data the most important is the dt or the time between samples. You have configured the DAQ Assistant to use this information to generate the waveform. When you create the table 1 d, obviously it cannot contain information of timing and when you convert dynamic data, all you will get is a default dt 1.

As indicated, you can use either feature, if you create the table 1 d, you will need to change the data to add to the dt you want.

Look inside the basic function generator. It uses the lower level of triangular-wave function, you already mentioned. See how the timing information is added to the output of table D 1.

  • What is the difference between Foglight JavaEE and Foglight JMX monitoring?

    Hello

I have a plan to monitor the 6.1.0.17 WebSphere Application Server (32 bit) and 7.0.0.5 (64-bit)

But I understand not all Foglight for JavaEE and Foglight for JMX.

Foglight for JavaEE or Foglight for JMX is able to monitor WebSphere?

What is the difference between Foglight JavaEE and Foglight JMX monitoring?

    Thanks in advance

    Jeans

Just to add to the excellent answers already posted.

We have 2 agents which allows you to monitor Java:

    1. a JavaEE agent that runs inside the JAVA virtual machine and the information of both JMX and instrumentation.

This Agent will give you JMX information like information of JVM (use of the bunch, son etc.), of the Application and server availability information and other information of JMX/PMI (connections pools, pools of ejb, servlets, jsp, JCA and more).

Java EE & # 039agent also gives you information of the instrumentation - RFA count and response time, exceptional output and timeout information, distribution of queries (App/DB, component technology, server, application failure), object tracking, transaction flow and stransactional between servers and data sources) and ask traces (the ability to see the trees of the RFA at the method level to know where things are slow/stuck).

2 JMX agent is running outside the JVM but can run on the same computer or on a remote computer, this agent requires access active, JMX. This agent gives you information JVM, availability server/applications, as well as some data as the application server published using JMX (pools of connections, JCA, EJB, servlets, etc.). The JMX agent also gives you the ability to see a list of the mbeans, get the data they expose (javaEE agent gets only a predefined list (same list that is used as a template for the application servers in the JMX agent)).

    Hope this helps

  • What is the difference between connect VGA or HDMI?

    Hey Gang,

I already have all the information I needed regarding the difference between the use of a PC monitor compared to a HD TV flat screen.
Thanks to all who responded. I have another related question, that I should have asked at the same time, but I just found my PC & did not know that my 21 "HP monitor has a VGA & HDMI connector, as well as my desktop HP pavilion 'P' series computer. I believe that the HDMI is for monitors capable of 1090 X 1200 HD, however the VGA is for the best score of my monitor resolution 600 X 900, is - this correct?
I have an adapter that allows to my my (HP monitor cable) VGA connector to fit my HDMI connector on my desk. I'm wrong by plugging into the HDMI, rather than directly on my Desktop VGA connector? Or is the HDMI only for a higher (true HD) resolution monitor? Does still a difference in the views of quality, which connector I chose for my monitor? Or is it better to keep VGA to VGA, which is the type of connector and cable that my monitor provided with?  I guess I need to improve my monitor at a higher resolution of true HD, but it baffles me why they give me either on my low resolution PC HD monitor. I have an integrated graphics stock, which is not a beat regardless of what I am posting. I was planning on upgrading my monitor for a large screen size & true HD resolution. I have a 2.9 Ghz chip decent quad-core phenom on a MSI mainboard w update / 8G of ram, W/7 64 bit running. Should I myself need a better graphics card to get the full potential of a more recent true HD resolution monitor?

    Thanks for all help you.
    Best regards, ovenmaker

"VGA is the best grade of my monitor resolution 600 X 900, is - this correct? "

VGA will go up to 1920 X 1080 and beyond. Is 1920 x 1080 HD/1080 p when used on up to 24 "monitor.
DVI is a little sharper VGA with text, but not dramatically enough to notice without
Comparison of the two systems in parallel.

HDMI is really necessary or desirable, when you use the audio - IMO.

True HD monitor? Depends on the size. A 27 "1440 p monitor requires much more
    graphics power than a 24 "1920 X 1080 monitor. 1440 p also requires a Dual Link DVI DVI vs.
-If your use of bold text is anything to go by, I guess, like me, you might find it difficult to
read text on a monitor with a resolution of 1 440 per I even put Windows to use 125% the size of text on my monitor 24 " .
-1920 X 1080 on a 27 "monitor result is something less than HD resolution.
Just guessing but maybe 720 p.

There are a number of integrated graphic card "stock". The Intel 3000 and 4000 are reasonably
powerful. I don't know what is the graphics card integrated to your MSI mobo, but it depends on what you want to do with the machine. For General Windows, browsing the web, watching video, is everything you do then the integrated graphic card should be enough.
If you want to play games then the details of the integrated graphic card should be called.
Many aboard the integrated graphics card are not as good with games like the latest processor based
    integrated graphics card.

The only problem with the addition of a dedicated graphics card is if the power supply can
handle the additional load. The level of graphics card the more power required.

I do not understand the question above, but to answer your question in
the subject line, "what's the difference between Windows 7 and.
Windows 7 Starter? "the Windows 7 Starter Edition is not another
operating system, it's just kind of Windows 7. And it is the lowest

    Windows 7 Home Edition.

  • What is the difference between OCÉ and (OCP and OCS)

What is the difference between ECAS and (OCP or OCS).

For example, I heard that OCS helps with the language

and the marketing of a product.

Could this be true as ECAS focuses on how to do things.

and not so much things to a much higher level.

For example, how do you set up, how you use it, how do you start, etc.

    Thank you Roger

    Roger,

OCÉ Doghouse more. These certifications can be more CERT of intermediate or high level certificates. These were specifically developed for the gaps in the certification that did not match our OCA, OCP, hierarchy of the CMO.

Generally, the CERT of the OCS tend to focus more on implementation. These certificates have been developed for the Oracle PartnerNetwork for areas of certification which specifically serve Oracle partners and qualify them for levels of specialization. These certifications are available for all candidates, but are directed towards members of OPN.

    I hope this helps.

  • What is the difference between OP_READY and SECURE status?

I put ISD status of my java SECURE of the status card. I want to know what capacity card lost in this new status compared to OP_READY?

Note: I try, I can download and install new map .cap files and delete them successfully still [in this new ISD status]!

I will be grateful if someone just explain the main differences between the different status? I already read the Specifications of the global platform 2.2.2 , but it's a bit difficult to understand for me unfortunately!

    Hello

    According to the GP 2.2.1

    In general,.

The SECURE State is the expected state of the lifecycle card to operate in after the show. It is used to indicate that the transmitter security field contains all the necessary keys and elements of security for these features.

    May be specific things,

Any course of communication is possible with the level of security as "AUTHENTICATED" during the State of the card "SECURE."

This means at least THAT C - MAC is required to access safely with the card (by APDU).

Hope that gives the best idea for your query

As I am a new bie, I'm curious as to what it may seem a silly question.

    Thank you

    Jean

    Hi John,.

Just to add to the comments of Avinash-

You create methods of payment organization - say in cash, cheque, Direct deposit.

You assign to a payroll (on the screen of definition of payroll)

Now for assignments with this payroll, you can set payment methods Org (only those you have assigned to the level of payroll)

The assignments may have one or more payment methods, with different percentages adding up to 100%.

    Hope that helps,

    Hello
What is the difference between associative arrays and nested tables?

nested tables cannot be indexed by other than pls_integer and unlike nested tables table associative cananot be declared at the schema level.

is there any other difference set apart from the diff above 2?

    user13710379 wrote:
What is the difference between associative arrays and nested tables?

Name-value pairs (associative) against a list of values (table standard/nested table).

nested tables cannot be indexed by other than pls_integer

They are not "indexed" the way in which an associative array is indexed. A standard table is referenced by the position of the cell in the table. This position is essentially the offset of the memory of the cell from the start address of the table.

Can not solve a cell in an associative array directly via a memory offset index. You place a cell reference value it by his 'name' (a search in the linked list/hash table).

The following example shows the difference between the pairs of name / value and a list of core values.

    SQL> declare

  • What is the difference between redundancy and recovery for retention window?

    Hi all

I'm still trying to get a grip on this concept of planning RMAN backup.

I recently came across a situation like this.

I have backups on a redundancy of 1.

I have instance1, who had a job of GRID to run backups RMAN as follows

Database incremental level = 0 a week at sea at 02:30
I have backups daily, incremental level = 1 every night
I have backups of the log of the archives through the day.

What happened, was apparently on a TUE some time, the development team remove data in almost all of the tables in the schema.
The this didn't discover until noon or so on Wednesday.

I went to try to restore... and RMAN could not do. I had found a SNA for early TUES, they did... but I got the following error:

    RMAN > RUN
    2 > {}
3 > SET up to this THAT SNA 4590383198282.
    4 > RESTORE database;
    5 > RECOVER DATABASE;
    {6 >}

    executing command: SET until clause

From restoration to the 28 April 10
    allocated channel: ORA_SBT_TAPE_1
    channel ORA_SBT_TAPE_1: SID = 639 device type = SBT_TAPE
    channel ORA_SBT_TAPE_1: NMO v4.5.0.0
    allocated channel: ORA_DISK_1
    channel ORA_DISK_1: SID = 638 type device = DISK

File number of the data file = 1 name=+DATADG/instance1/datafile/system.284.697137287
    RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
    RMAN-00569: = ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS =.
    RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-03002: failure of the command restore at 2010-04-28 15:53
ORA-01180: cannot create the data file 1
    ORA-01110: data file 1: '+ DATADG/instance1/datafile/system.284.697137287 '.

What I did... of research, it seems that since I don't have a level 0 incremental of before, he could not reset the database in time. Precedent has been removed since, I guess I had a redundancy of 1.

So, I thought that I had a week of backup they way I put it... but that assumes that the errors are found fairly quickly before the next level = 0 backup.

I want at least 1 to 1.5 weeks of worth of backups. I have the problem that we do have many tapes in rotation, so I can't go because too long..may 2 x weeks at the top.

I'm revising my strategy, but I am confused that I read about the difference between retention RMAN setting with window of recovery / redundancy.

Can someone give me an explanation how do you understand? I read on the web and in books to oracle, and for some reason, it is not clear to me what is the best way to go... especially when I see this window of redundancy and recovery can affect?

    Thank you in advance,

    Cayenne

Redundancy = 1 means rman will mark any more old than the backup of the last full or incremental backup of level 0 as obsolete. So it is very likely that the backup that you need for this restore has been removed after work Wednesday morning.

The recovery window will tell rman to keep (or not obsolete brand) all necessary backups to restore to any point in time in the recovery window.
