Continuous playback of a DVD on a loop.

I have a DVD (not a commercial), I want to play on a continuous loop. I searched the Windows Media Center (which fortunately plays my DVD), but could not find a "continuous playback" or "repeat" option. Am I missing something? If WMC can do it, anyone know of a freeware that can?

The free VLC Media Player can do it if you set the start and the end points.

VLC Media Player
http://www.videolan.org/

Open your DVD in VLC Media Player and go... View / advanced controls...

Bottom left of the main window, you will see 4 buttons in a row and if you
Place your pointer over the 3rd button it says: "the loop from the point A to point B".
continuous.

On the left, click on this button at the beginning and the end of the video track and it will make a loop.
(drag the slider to the left and click on... and then drag the slider to the right and click)

  • Tecra A8: audio stutters during playback of CD/DVD on Win2K

We recently started having the laptop Tecra A8 and we run Win2K on them. Everything works well except during playback of CD audio or DVD. Audio stutters really bad (worse with DVD to CD).
I tried to remove the silent acoustics and re - install the audio drivers but same problem.
As a test, I put the WinXP preinstalled on one, and then there is no problem. May be driver related issue, but we do not have the best experiences using XP drivers on a Win2K machine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know on the Tecra A8 has been preloaded with a Realtek HD Audio driver.
I guess you also need the same kind of audio driver for W2k.
This unit uses a link high-definition audio, and I think you'll need driver that supports this chip.

See the Toshiba driver for W2k drivers page. In addition if you don t use the Toshiba Recovery CD you need to install all the drivers of Toshiba in the right order. Please see the installation instructions and follow this guideline.

  • Monitor goes to sleep during playback of a dvd in wmc

I browse my residential wireless to my server in the Solution Explorer. I mount a disk image file video dvd (iso, I'm 1507 of them) in the remote location on a virtual drive.

I installed an external software 'The Maxifier'. I go to the icon and choose the start page, WMC opens on the second display (projector). This process prevents it being trapped on the second screen of my mouse. Select (with mouse) movies/dvd and everythings great.

Unfortunately displays to sleep while the movie is playing (prevents other dvd playback software it) Screensaver is set to 'none' If food options (when to turn off the monitor) is set to 10 minutes they will sleep in 10 min. If the value 2 hrs. they leave in 2 hours. I can move the mouse or press a keyboard, and they wake up back. Everything works normally except the software MCE preventing sleep monitor during playback. cannot find any setting to solve this problem.

The problem is the remote computer is in my room, Planner normally wakes up the computer in the middle of the night, doing what he has to do, then fall back to sleep. (must be the internal code that the interview wakes the computer no display signal is sent unless there is user imput - oh well) Once the Scheduler wakes the computer it's not going to go back to sleep until the time of power options is obtained without user imput. (another pain in the neck) The sleep time can be lower timer monitor. If I set the monitor to 3 hours (longer than the movie), while I don't have the move disrupton, then when the movie ended I have to remember to put in a shorter time, or what I've done is completely close the box every night and leave the timer at 3 hours.

    Simplify the problems

1 MCE does not monitor to fall asleep during DVD playback.

2 when the Scheduler wakes the computer from sleep mode and finishes his tasks he does not put the rear computer to sleep.

Remember that the monitor and the computer will go to sleep under the power options are set to, not a pilot or external software issue preventing sleep.

Hello, I would like to record a video project on the loop of dvd, I can do this with the media encoder?

You can export MPEG - 2 DVD using Media Encoder video assets, but you must AUTHOR the DVD using Adobe Encore or similar software and should be able to put the replay/closure action then.

    Any ideas how to sort!

    Hi mate,

have you already checked if you have the latest drivers to display / sound and the last update installed DVD player? Perhaps a softwareupdate could solve this issue.
Please visit the Toshiba drivers download site and check for driver/softwareupdates for your machine:

    1. What is the format of the files that you burn on DVD?

It is possible that the files on DVD are not supported by the DVD player.

  • TCP continues playback of the RT system

    Hi all!

    Project:

I have an AVR32 Board, which collects data continuously and sends it to a PC. The PC communicates with the AVR via LabVIEW for data processing and for example metrics. So far, I used a RS232 connection and processed incoming data through the VISA driver. But since the serial connection is so slow I want to now go to the TCP/IP protocol.

    Current state of work:

With the connection in series, I checked the COM-port buffer every n milliseconds and processed data in a queue later. So basically my VI has checked if the PC has received something and processed immediately.

    Problem:

So I tried to create a similar VI with TCP read and I thought I have neededed immediate mode. I wanted to do this since it is a continuous data stream with a custom protocoll where the package sizes vary. But while wireshark told me that data packets arrive, I can't read them in LV

Basically I have the same problem as this guy But unfortunately he already worked on it without lighting poor bastards like me . So could you please help me with this?

I joined my current test VI.

    Thank you

    Prunebutt

Sorry for the reproduced... where's the edit button? o.O

OK, I might have figured it out by myself. My problem was that I had to specify how many bytes to read. My VI received packets as soon as I said to wait 1 byte to read.

Thanks for reading in any case.

  • During playback of a DVD on the computer I get good picture & sound of desktop speakers, trying to watch DVDs on adjacent TV, I get good picture but sound no., why?

    Can someone please help
When playing a DVD on the computer, I get good Sound & picture on ajoining tv, I get a good quality image but no sound
    Concerning
    Darryl

    Sorry for this smithassoc

    Try this:
Click Start, go to control panel and click on switch to Classic view at the top left if necessary, and then click sounds and Audio devices. You will then be presented with the options sound and Audio from your computer, click the Audio tab and select HD Audio (this can be named differently depending on the type of video card you are using) as default device and click ok.
I guess maybe I should have asked, what video card are you using? As long as your video card supports audio HDMI then change the default audio device should solve the problem. If the video card is not taken support HDMI audio, then you need to connect the sound card to TV via one of the audio, the sound card options.

    Hi Cindy

Unfortunately creating DVD discs on pc for play on a standard player is not so simple that you hope... the link below will give you an idea of the process and requirements. You will also need some DVD(+ or-) RW disks so that you can erase and start over if things go wrong...

Take a look and if you want more help let us know... Cordially - Ric.
