What is vido_ts.vob

I can't load any movie until I have remove this TS VIDO_. VOB.   Please help what * address email is removed from the privacy *

Hello

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
On a DVD disc, DVD movie files are stored in the VIDEO_TS folder. There is also an AUDIO_TS folder, this is DVD-Audio would be stored, but generally, the folder is empty.

The TS stands for 'title set' and is part of the structure of a DVD. The aforementioned VIDEO_TS folder will hold all the relevant information such as information (IFO) and backup (BUP) files that are needed for the DVD to read even.
VIDEO_TS. VOB contains the menu DVD or, if the file size is too small (a few KB).
To resolve your problem more specifically, well want to mention what exactly you were doing and where we asked you to delete the record?

    Hello Pinkled,

Just got out how we can get video of .vob files play correctly:

It's pretty simple, just add the folder to the library of MOVIES instead of VIDEOS. It is true that videos, just listen to the audio, but no video appears during playback.
Once you add to the movie library, W7 Media Center it will read "like a DVD" then you will also be able to navigate through menus.

Hope that works for you also.

    Kind regards

    Miguel.

What software should I in a pc to detect the Toshiba has decided to use the file format?

    Hello

Above all that it is a forum for computer/laptop Toshiba that I doubt there are many people who have experience with your standalone DVD recorder.

    But I have some advice for you;
Check the configuration settings. There should be something about the format that is supported.
Check if the HARD drive (where the films are stored) has been chosen correctly.

Maybe the videos are saved to the. Standard VOB my writer did.

  • I just uploaded a clip of mpeg streams but tells me I can't use it without a mpeg-2 Playback component.  Can you recommend what to buy?

I just uploaded a clip of mpeg streams but tells me I can't use it without a mpeg-2 Playback component.  Can you recommend what to buy?

You can use Streamclip for most cases, but to play MPEG-2 files, like. VOB files, and to convert them to other formats, you should buy the reading component QuickTime MPEG-2 for Mac OSX, you can get online from the Apple Store for $19.99.

However, I am under El Capitan like you, and when I tried to install the MPEG-2 component, I got a message that it could not be installed on my

disk because the app was for an earlier version of my OS.  I don't know if others have had this problem, but I thought that I could

mention it to you before you passed the $20.00.

  • How to play vob on ps3 streaming files

My goal is to transfer my dvd collection on a 1.5 TB external harddrive and play through my xbox. I can get the DVD to the hard drive without problem, I can see them on the ps3, but they are in one. VOB format and I can get them to play on the ps3, but only files so I don't get that watching 15 minutes of the film then it ends and I have to manually have to go menu, and then select the following file and pick up where I left of to. any body knows a way have to play continuously throughout the movie?

    Nick,

You need an app for that. Windows will not Vobs post them together and then do a full dvd.

PlayStation plays everything just the way it is. It comes to be able to play on the xbox... xbox is quite fussy about what he likes to listen to, you can stream xvid, divx and wmv files and that's it. I think that there are also programs that will take the Vobs and compiles them into a somesort avi file which will be playable on the xbox.

As for this program, I don't know, when I want to do things like that I usually google what I'm trying to make, download the demo of some app, if it works, then I'll buy it, its usually only $ 10 or more. Also check sourceforge.

  • VOB file Burns but not his (OEM NERO)

    Hello

I have SONY handycam & it generates an output of VOB files. It cannot burn in movie maker, therefore using NERO oem.

Now in NERO I can burn the files on dvd but no sound is the final product. Is it because of some problem that is XP or NERO. I doubt that Nero is fine as rest burn all dvd data perfectly. Only when I try to create a video format to make it work on my dvd player, I get question.

I read somewhere it's a codec issue, but I applied all the codecs & still nothing. Any suggestions are welcome solve the problem. Also just FYI, no noise in not prelife window also.

    Hello

    1. 'no sound in the preview window' what do you mean exactly by that?

2 is functioning very well under Windows XP?

I don't think that is to do with your operating system. I think that the problem is with Nero. I suggest that get you in touch with Nero support for better help.

  • Convert vob to wmv to edit in Windows Movie Maker

I am trying to edit a dvd. I know that I have to convert the vob to a wmv file but it keeps shortening the length of the video. I downloaded at least 6 converter programs and none doesn't seem to help. I would like to edit this video in Windows Movie Maker. Help, please!

It may be interesting to try to rename the. VOB file to
. MPG or. AVI. If it is important without convert you
could drag the timeline and immediately
Publish it... It would create one. WMV file. Then
Re - import the. WMV file and make your editing.

  • VOB files don't play no not in Windows Media Player

I have several DVD that have been copied to my hard drive.  When attempting to open the .vob files, I use Windows Media player.  WMP opens, then closes while PowerDVD DX opens.  Nothing happens at this point.  Looking through the forums and search on the internet I can't find a solution that works.

    Hello jtrall, welcome.

It seems that WMP (Windows Media Player) is given to the task of playing the. VOB to PowerDVD files because of several possible reasons:

1 PowerDVD is set as default program for reading VOB file
2 WMP cannot find a proper way to play the VOB file
    3. missing Codecs or other program incompatibilities

In order to diagnose the problem and find a solution, we will need to know:

1A Windows Media Player never been able to play the VOB files before?
    2. what version of Windows Media Player are you running?

You should be able, as a temporary workaround, use PowerDVD as the DVD playback software. If you start PowerDVD, and then click File > Open (or something similar) you will be able to select the source of the DVD files that are VOB files stored on your computer.

Send us the above information and we can go from there

    Thank you!
