Toshiba HDD & dvd/VCR recorders record in what format to DVD-R discs?

In 2008, I paid £190 on Amazon for a HARD & DVD/VCR player disc with free view, model rd-xv48dtkb.
I've done many DVD-R disc full of TV shows I record with her, but when I take them to friends they don t game!

What is the format makes this machine to record videos in mpeg4 or divx for example?

He seems to play avi, divx files ok but what other formats read it? for example, mpeg4, mpeg2 etc...
Can Toshiba or anyone who knows tell me as soon as possible, which is the biggest flaw I've found with the machine.
Also, if I put a DVD in my pc detected disks even not! Serious flaw.

What software should I in a pc to detect the Toshiba has decided to use the file format?

Hello

Above all that it is a forum for computer/laptop Toshiba that I doubt there are many people who have experience with your standalone DVD recorder.

But I have some advice for you;
Check the configuration settings. There should be something about the format that is supported.
Check if the HARD drive (where the films are stored) has been chosen correctly.

Maybe the videos are saved to the. Standard VOB my writer did.

    Hello

    Recommend checking this Toshiba multimedia page:
    http://www.Toshiba-multimedia.com/EU/store-external-hard-drives/

    Here you will find a detailed description on each HARD disk drive and you can download the manuals and technical data sheets.

    But since this virtual drive is a special software of Toshiba, most disk HARD must contain this.

    But I checked the link you posted your message, and the virtual drive can be removed from the HARD drive too.

  • Windows cannot be installed after replacement Toshiba HDD

    I installed Windows 7 (and Windows XP) on my laptop A42F, another manufacturer, using a DVD without problem and was used for about 18 months.

    Last week TOSHIBA MQ01ABD050 hard drive has failed and it turns out the disc has been damaged.

    I managed to save most of my data and the hard drive has been replaced by a NEW and similar (TOSHIBA MQ01ABD050) hard disk.

    Using the same DVD as the previous time I can't install windows more. I also tried other CD and DVD that worked before on other PCs and this laptop.

    I tried to install with or without created partitions.

    When booting from a CD / DVD to install Windows, it starts to load files quickly. About 80 percent, it slows down a lot and finally a page with a message (the note below is not the EXACT text):
    Windows has encountered a problem during communication with a device
    .........
    ... contact the hardware manufacturer
    Status: 0xc00000e9
    Information: unexpected IO error

    It is possible to boot from the CD and run MiniXp (or linux) and write about your new TOSHIBA MQ01ABD050 hard drive.

    My questions:
    (a) any suggestion plausible why I can't install?
    (b) has anyone seen this before?
    (c) what can I do to solve the problem?

    Any help will be appreciated

    Hi Jack

    I think it's a bad place to ask for help, even if you have replaced the HARD precedent with the Toshiba HDD drive.
    For me, it is not a HARD drive problem.

    In my view if s notebook BIOS recognizes the HARD drive correctly, then you should be able to install the system on this new HARD drive. But according to your material, some additional drivers (perhaps the drivers SATA) would be necessary, but it should be clarified with the support of laptop manufacturer.

    I think you should get in touch with the manufacturer for laptop support in order to get more details on possible solutions

  • Satellite L650-12 q - Toshiba HDD Recovery does not

    Toshiba Satellite L650-12 q
    Windows 7 64 bit

    I am looking to re - install Windows using the Toshiba HDD Recovery software on my hard drive to restore the computer to factory settings.
    I followed the procedure to do this in the System Recovery Options, but received the following message is displayed:

    "The recovery of the operating system is impossible!
    Not found the HDD Recovery folder on the second disc of the first hard drive. There is no valid disk HARD recovery environment on this computer. »

    More details:
    Before you do the above, I supported the system and the files and folders using AOMEI Backupper. I then made the mistake of the merger of C: D: and E: partitions, E: contained HDDR files.

    After having tried the recovery above and receive the above message, I reinstalled the file system I had saved on an external hard drive, which resulted in a copy of the drive C: and E: drive with HDDR files.
    Unfortunately, when I tried to recover the operating system, the same message appeared.

    Then I tried to use a system restore disc, I had created a few weeks ago, but concluded that, for some reason that CD is empty.

    The good news is that the computer still works - slowly - and HDDR files seem to be still there, but for some reason, inaccessible.

    What are my options? I want to go back to initial factory settings so that I can go back and re-install the programs and files that I want to. (I backed up all my files and have records of installation for programs).

    If the worst comes to the worst and I have to buy a Windows 7 disc (if that's even possible - I don't want Windows 8), it would be possible to install on this computer and it would give me a clean install, without any of the garbage which is currently cluttering up my computer?

    Thank you for reading, and I would be grateful for any advice you can offer.

    In your case, the situation is clear: HARD drive recovery facility does not work?
    If you want to have the laptop with the settings you have an option only: for recovery image installation you must use the installation of recovery disc.

    If I understand right you don t, entitled?
    But you can order it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

    If you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask.

  • How to access the Recovery Console for "fixmbr" with Toshiba Recovery DVD?

    Hello

    I searched but did not find all related messages, I start a new thread.

    I have to fix the MBR and normally you can do this via the recovery XP and then Console "fixmbr". As you may know Toshiba Recovery DVD know only in a sense - the way hard "format hdd or first partition".

    * How can I fix the MBR on the standard MBR MS when no original XP installation disk/DVD is usable - Toshiba Recovery DVD are available
    tried the XP CD from my office... but you know... it doesn´t work.

    Additional information:
    I deleted my HARD disk partition table and cannot access the first partition to a partition that would be very useful that I could try to recover this partition later - but I can't. My A200 SatPro also comes without floppy disk but can boot from USB.

    Thanks for any answer!

    Best regards

    Yes, the thing with the recovery console fixmbr should do the trick, and I am a bit surprised that your XP from your other computer disk does not work.

    You are not able to boot from it, or what is the exact problem? Because you will not be able to repair with your recovery disk.
    Advise you to try another original XP disc, may borrow from a friend and try again. You may need to change the boot priority to operate.

  • Need TOSHIBA Recovery Wizard, but have simply on TOSHIBA HDD Recovery Tool

    Hello world!

    I bought Windows 7 Home Premium OEM SP - 1 preinstaled in Turkey with model Sattelit L675-10z. Corsica, is in Turkish,

    And as I am not Turkish I wanted to find a way to use it in Russian. Toshiba supports service in Turkey told me that they cannot help me with this, so I have instoled program Vistalizator with the Russian language.

    It has been activated Windows without problem and just "authenticity windows 7" were not working. But I had the opportunity to download all the files to update windows without notifications.

    After 6 months of work, my child is delited some .dll files that I understood and also he deleted all the windows recovery points to sistem windows recovery.

    And when I tried to use toshiba HARD drive recovery, I was surprised. Before I got the toshiba laptop with windows 7 (also satelit L series) and it was easy to recover, but http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm I'm shoked. When I try to push button 8 in the bios I have not any TOSHIBA Recovery Wizard... .i have just TOSHIBA HDD Recovery Tool the same situation with button 'Zero' in the BIOS.

    Toshiba Recovery tool do not give me a chance to recover windows fair he also wants to erase all my files in all drives.

    I have also done with Toshiba Recovery Media creator usb charger and you have find it also gives me opportunity just to clear all my files in all computers.

    but I also find there a file setenv.ini with the following parameters.
    [Commune]
    Packer = ImageX
    InstallCMD = \inst.cmd
    FactoryInstallCMD = \facinst.cmd
    PartitionSizeGB =-1
    MinPartitionSizeGB = 15
    DefaultGUILang = English
    NumLang = 1
    Hnum = R13026TE
    [Lang1]
    Lang = TRK
    OS = Windows Win 7
    ImageName = 11898XSP.swm
    ImageIndex = 2
    WinREIndex = 1
    FS = NTFS
    StartMedium = 1

    and 2 files with name boot.wim so I think I can install windows 7 without erasing all my records? and there is also possibility to choose the language?

    Or maybe I should ask toshiba company servise on help?

    Have no idea what to do. Do not want to pay for another license, do not want to lose all my files, and want to use lisansed BONE in my native language or in English.

    Or if that's not possible, I would like to get the Turkish version of windows.

    Thank you
    Natalya

    Hello Natalya

    First some facts for you. I hope that this will help you understand some important things.
    Computers notebooks are specific products of countries and every laptop on the Turkish market is actually for people who use Turk language. In other words, they will get operating system and keyboard for that language.

    Each book is available for some countries of preinstalled language and there is no way to activate a different language. If you live in Russia and use the Russian language you should get Windows7 on your language and install it on your laptop. All the necessary drivers tools and utilities can be downloaded from the Toshiba support page. Of course, to the clean OS install, you must pay for the license of Microsoft. The button down belongs to the original version (Turkish language).

    When you install the operating system using the recovery image of HARD drive you Turk language again and the problem is not solved for you. In my opinion you n t to use this image at all. You can't choose your Russian language and, in general, this recovery mage Turk is useless for you.

    My advice to you if you want to keep this notebook:
    -change the keyboard (Russian language) the nearest Toshiba service for help. they can order and exchange it for you
    -installation disk install Win7 using Microsoft original (Win7)
    -install all the necessary drivers, tools and utilities from Toshiba download page the link is on this forum page (support Top sites)

    Please read all this and let me know if you have any other questions.

  • How to open external HDD box 3.5 "320 GB Toshiba HDD?

    I have an old 3.5 "320 GB Toshiba HDD (model: http://pan2.fotovista.com/dev/2/5/00496952/l_00496952.jpg)
    (and no more warranty) I think it is broken I don't know. Because it has power and the light flashes but do not start the HD (I mean it there is no "this" sound start).

    So my question is how do I open the case to connect it directly on my PC or what I can do?

    SRY for my bad English ^^

    Hello

    Looks like a failed disk head crash HARD, etc.

    In my opinion there is not a lot of options.
    If the warranty is valid then you should visit your dealer and ask for replacement, fix, etc.

    If the warranty is not valid the dealer would not replace this part.
    What to say, in this case you can try to remove the support HARD drive (don t ask me how, I don't t have this HARD drive) and could try to connect it to a desktop PC using an IDE or SATA cable (depends on the HARD drive) to make sure if it is possible to gain access to the HARD drive

  • Utility Toshiba HDD Protection cannot be installed on my C50-A513 Satellite

    I have a Toshiba Satellite C50-A513 running Windows 8 x 64. I tried to download Toshiba HDD Protection three times, but every time I download and then to install it, nothing comes. Once its installed, nothing does not appear. It's like the installation bar ends but no dialog to the HARD drive protection arises. I tried to search in under MATERIAL AND AUDIO Control Panel to check if she had been properly installed but found nothing interesting there.

    Yes, I did download the right driver suitable for my laptop and that several times too just to be sure. Someone could tell me what is the problem with this and how can I make it work?

    Waiting for answer,
    Thank you!

    According to specification specifications your machine was shipped with preinstalled Win8.1 64-bit so I m wondering what exactly you do.
    Please don't get me wrong you have the machine with the latest version of the OS, but now you have problems with the old version of the OS.

    Somehow, it is not logical for me.

    In any case, I ve tried to check the download page for your machine on http://www.toshibamea.com/en/Download-Files but anyway it doesn't work properly. I assume that there is only a temporary problem so I can't check what kind of stuff is listed for download.
    Out of curiosity but have you installed driver Toshiba system first?

  • Toshiba TV/DVD combo 32SLV411U - listening to the wireless headset?

    I hope I am posting this in the right place. I couldn't find a specific board just for TVs?

    I recently bought a Toshiba TV/DVD combo 32SLV411U. I really like but have a problem.
    The best way to go about that I guess is to tell you what I hope to be able to do.

    I will say first of all, I called Toshiba tech support and they said it couldn't be done and advised that I buy a sound bar.
    I'm not 100% convinced they have well understood or that a sound bar would solve the problem.

    The tv model I does not appear to have a separate headphone jack. I was obviously the rear connections for rca type cables.

    While watching a DVD (not connected decoder, in DVD mode) I want to be able to have the silent TV.
    I live in an apartment complex and do not want to disturb the neighbors. I want the audio from the forthcoming DVD the only wireless headset. This does not work when the TV is connected to cable as the sound comes through the cable box.

    It seems to me that I should just be able to fix the audio cable rca to the back of the TV and listen as I've described above. But I can't make it work any configuration, I tried. I don't know if I just need to configure things differently or what. When I go to the menu and look at the options, it doesn't give me a lot of choices in this area, unless I'm looking in the wrong place.

    Is this possible without buy me something more? If so, how we configure it to do it properly when you watch a DVD?

    If I do not need to buy anything, how a Soundbar works and it would solve the problem?
    Or should I look for a standalone DVD player with audio connections on the back (a little beats the purpose of)
    have a TV/DVD combo, but could be a less expensive option.

    I guess I should have taken a second look at the features before you buy the combo TV. I just assumed that, with the connections audio to the rear, it would work. I had no problem with the previous TV/DVD combo I've owned, but it doesn't have a headphone port. In the meantime, I watch DVDs on my PC.

    Any information or advice is really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    > I hope I am posting this in the right place. I couldn't find a specific board just for TVs?
    You can't find a good advice, because it is a user to user Toshiba forum computer systems.

    But maybe I can help you:
    > Watching a DVD (not connected decoder, in DVD mode) I want to be able to have the silent TV.

    I live in an apartment complex and do not want to disturb the neighbors. I want the audio from the forthcoming DVD the only wireless headset. This does not work when the TV is connected to cable as the sound comes through the cable box.

    In my case, I connected my stereo directly on the DVD player using RCA (red/white cinch) cables.
    In addition, the DVD player is connected to the TV via HDMI.

    I can turn off the sound on the TV and can listen to the sound from the stereo speakers.
    If you want to use headphones, then connect it to the stereo and it should help you :)

    Hello

    I'm new here so I don't know if I'm in the right forum or not, if I'm not I apologize.

    I have a Satellite P200-1EE and tried to play DVDs on Toshiba HD DVD player but everytime I try it comes up with an error message saying "an error has occurred in the audio output settings. Please check audio driver is set up correctly. »

    I tried the update audio drivers but it tells me that I have already installed the drivers the best.

    Any help would be most appreciated.

    Thank you for your time.

    Hello

    What OS do you have?
    What is Vista?

    If yes then another question; have you installed SP1?

    Please also see the European driver of Toshiba page and choose your model of laptop.
    There is a DVD HD v4.32.00 patch reader.
    The other version 4.51.07 HD DVD player is a full version and if the patch won't work, then you must install the full version.

    See you soon

    Hello

    The easiest way is to use the Windows operating system error checking option.
    Please go to the "My Computer", right-click on the drive and choose Properties.
    In the 'Tools' tab you will find the error checking. Here, you can mark them automatically fix file system errors and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
