What Presets for this Avi file?

I have a couple of musicals (from tv) .avi files that I want to change in the first (which I almost never used before, only a few intermittent stuff with my little digital camera... no real knowledge).

What I want to do, is simply to extract the song and dance of the plot.

Windows tells me this much on the files:
624 x 352 pixels
throughput of 128 Kbps
16-bit audio sample size
Audio blade MP3
23 frames per second
given 1102 Kbps
extract video 24 bit
XVID compression

and gspot gives me this, most of which I don't even understand:

container
AVI v1 1 Interleave vid frame (42ms)
Interleaving of audio frames aligned
304MB video
User data
[ISFT] transcode - 1.0.6
[USER] XviD0050
Audio
Codec: 0 x 0055 MPEG-1 Layer 3
Tot info 48000 Hz 128 kb/s, join stereo LAME 3.9

Video
Codec Name XVID to XviD ISO MPEG-4
Len 44:23 service 63851 959 Kbps Qf 0,182
Photos/s 23.976 fps 23.976
PIC 624 x 352
SAR 1,773 per 1,000 dar 1,773

Now, these numbers don't match any of existing "presets" of first and do not provide enough information for me to make up a custom preset.

Can someone help me? Tell me what presets to turn or direct me to the software that will query this file and get the info for me?

GOLD: If there is a way more easy/software to do what I want to do - what is it?

Kind regards

AB

The Xvid CODEC will be a real problem. For the rest, a desk with custom to match, attributes Preset you have to edit - but not with the Xvid CODEC. I would like to use the advice of prejudice to convert to DV - AVI Type II, and problems should go away.

Another suggestion of evil, I found that program CyberLink PowerDirector done a proper job with Xvid/DivX hardware, but it IS highly compressed and is a format for delivery of streaming media. It should ONLY be used as such and not as source footage. In addition, Premiere Elements will have the same issues, that will be PrPro.

For some more information about CODECS, this ARTICLE could be useful.

Good luck

Sorry, but I'm new and a little confused with some installation options.

I bought the first Elements 7 of Steve book and read it (it's the great BTW) but have a few questions to start my project.

Book of Steve, I understand that I am better to convert my Panasonic. MTS files to AVI (in fact, I am converting all my sources to. AVI).  So my questions are:

HD 1080 p video: h.264/AVC, 4200 Kbps; Audio: MP3, 256 Kbps that guard the 1080 and the big screen...

then use the same profile for non wide screen (except use the options of the advance of the to have capture 720 x 540 instead of 1920 x 1080)

The other AVS profiles for. AVI are: (of course, I'm confused why we MPEG-4 in an AVI file, but they all register under.) (AVI)

    (2) then, then what preset uses?  Since these are all. AVI on my hard drive, I am confused with all the choices.

I am considering NTSC-HDV-HDV 1080i 30, but AVCHD, DV, HDV, and HARD DISK offer all the options that seem to work.

  • Creating Chapter Points to a Menu with an AVI file?

    Hello.

I would like to ask a few basic questions about Adobe Premiere Elements, please.

I have a 90 minute AVI file I want to convert to DVD format.  I want to create a menu for her with the chapters.

EPA does do that?  If so, should I break up the AVI file in particular segments in order to create chapters, or EPA permitted the creation of points of chapter with a main, master file?

If the EPA create chapter points, chapter points are stored in a saved project?  If I start making a menu, are the chapter points for this AVI file automatically used to make the chapters?

    Thank you very much!

    J. Michael

PS: I'm using Windows 7 RC, if that makes a difference.

PE will do this for you semi-automatiquement.

First set up a DVD project and import your AVI videos (assuming it's a DV - AVI, or a guy who manages the EP - see this ARTICLE) and then just add you chapter markers to the timeline. Name them appropriately and chosse your Menu Set. Notice the word "together". Menus in PE are a combo of hand and scene selection Menus, and they will be used as necessary. You can also change various aspects of the Menus, by doing things like replacing the background image.

When your project is saved, you will have a. DOC file is just a database in XML, which connects to your assets and provides instructions as to what has been done in the edition. There is no media in this file. This file cannot be read, used only in PE, as long as the media is always available. You must burn/sharing to get a media file playable. The engraving can be on a DVD or file.

  • How to convert video files in avi files 3pg need a kind of codecs etc.

I am trying to transfer my video files 3pg by converting avi files to copy on this new player mp3; in the instruction book, which says that if there is no problem converting them, iwould need to download additional codecs to take in charge all the multimedia files. How do you do that?

    Hello

What operating system is installed on the computer?

You don't need codecs for the avi files to convert to be played on the player, if you need to read the files on the computer, then you may need to download codecs from the internet.

You can use your favorite search engine to download codecs and use.

The audio or video file can be converted to a file type that your device can play and then copied to your device. If it cannot be converted (or you don't want it to be converted), you can always choose to copy the file on the device, but you will not be able to play.

    Hi ijudge,

Welcome to the Microsoft answers community site.

Option 1: Change the default to player. AVI files. Follow the steps in the link to find out how to change that uses default Windows programs and Windows Media Player as default for. AVI files.

    Option 2: Download updated Codec

If the problem persists probably you try to play a file that uses a codec that is corrupt. When you try to play a file that uses a codec that is not on your computer, the Player tries to download the codec from a Microsoft server. If the codec is available, the player installed on your computer, and then bed file. If the codec is not available on the server (for example, because the codec has not been created by Microsoft), the player displays a message stating that your computer is missing a codec.

If you are connected to the Internet, the message is usually a help button on the Web you can click for more information. If the player can determine which codec you are missing, when you click this button, a help topic is displayed and contains a link to WMPlugins.com, a Web site that lists a number of codecs that are available for download. DivX and MPEG-2 video codecs and audio ACELP.net and Ogg Vorbis codecs are examples of codecs that are not included in the operating system or the default player.

  • Best Preset for CS5 to AVCHD

I'm experimenting with one of the latest AVCHD Vixia of Canon cameras that is capable of shooting video 1920 X 1080 at 24 MB/s.  I think that the MTS files that result are natively captured in 60i format.  I want to do a demo tape for a customer for a product shoot with this camera to show the quality AVCHD and clairty. It seems that if I select 1080 p preset for this codec in CS5, I would be throwing half of the resoluiton vertical if the native video format is 60i, as would be the case when shooting SD video with a native of 29.97 FPS format, which reduces the resolution of natual. My guess is that the 60i is a field rate and not a cadence.

The preset for 1080 p or 1080i are both set to a ratio of square pixels or 1, as opposed to retangular ou.9, as with NTSC DV.  It would seem with a format of the square pixels when displayed on a screen format screen 16:9 wide, it would produce an incorrect image.

Could I get some clarication/confirmation on the two issues above?  It would be the first time that I used this format of HD video and I want to be sure that what I produce is both standards and optimized with native video I have for the real demo.

I probably happen this video to be considered as a mp4 only file rather than he incorporatin in a DVD.

Thanks indeed in advance for the help.

The best thing is editing in HD and then export to dvd mpeg2 or use Dynamic Link to make a dvd in Encore.

1920 x 1080 is always big screen square pixel.

If creating a dvd of this film the view will be always big screen with non square pixels with a format of 1,2121 pixels (0.9 is for 4:3)

If its filmded 60i sticks you to 60i.

See screendump, however this is nec 50i, just choose 60i (two at the bottom)

If you are unsure what is preset to choose dragging a clip in the project window in a new item icon, this will create a sequence corresponding to your images.

  • Horizontal lines in the saved preview AVI file

    Hi all

On another thread, I was wondering why I was getting an error message when you try to export and save a movie, but now I was able to get a temp AVI file after hitting enter and save a file preview, but this AVI file preview, which is normally the same quality of the full saved file I think, has horizontal lines in it that are very obvious compared to the original file... below are the screenshots yet sample to compare...

    File Clean original AVI 720 x 480 30 fps

    720x480avi_CLEAN.jpg

Display of the lines in this file first 720 x 480 30 fps AVI preview

    PremiereEXPORTED720x480avi_horizontalLINES.jpg

I have a file imported into the script and she will play opposite via setting the speed being set to-100 and it reads in the preview window properly, in reverse, when I click on the play button.

But when I do a "file > export timeline > film ' command I get an error message saying ' year error occurred while doing this film.» Error writing files (disk full)? " ... but my hard drive is nearly full, with more than 30 concerts left open on it... and my gadget to use RAM shows that more than half of my RAM capacity is not used.

But I got a temp Preview file generated after knocking entered to play the preview after I was not able to save and that ' s how I got this file... and I think that the temporary files are normally just as strong as the final saved files because they take so much time to generate during the preview by pressing on enter as they do when you export and save.

In addition, this process saved an AVI file of 8.5 gigabytes of file 1.5 MB AVI using the codec in CamStudio.

Another test using the MSU lossless codec produces a 3.5 GB AVI file which seemed better, but wouldn't you just play faster than about one frame per second after an hour and a half to save time.

Someone at - it solutions?... I see also that the new record of first shows a large screen size, but it was recorded at the same size of 720 x 480, as the original was.

    Thank you

    NuMetro

The hard drive uses a swap file, and the program creates files (such as the rendered file you use now instead of an export file) and in general, if you get the message that the disk is full, chances are that your disk becomes too full for the program continues.  You must check your hard drive with care and make sure you have enough space to work without this message.  There are discussions here on how to configure your hardware to the good editing (forum hardware).

The horizontal lines you see are "interlaced" lines... rather than being a "progressive"... file You can use mediainfo or gspot to see what your assets are exactly and then implement the project should match the one... and then export to match THAT... and you should be OK (once solve you the problem of hard disk)

  • Explorer crashes when I access an .avi file and must be restarted

When I try to access an .avi file, Explorer Windows stops working and "dumprep.exe" begins, using 50% of the capacity of the processor. Then, I need to delete the instance of dumprep with undesirable effects. I can open the .avi files to read by VLC, but restarts and close Explorer. When I excluded explore the DEP list it simply closed and restarted.

It started a few weeks ago. I don't have a list of new programs installed at this time.

I did a "repair" reinstall of XPHome SP3 without result.

have you installed the codecs on the computer.

see Add/Remove all codecs installed - try to uninstall them and then check

also try to read a FFL avi opening VLC Player as-> file-> open and then search for the avi file, if it plays well, and then copy a fle .avi another location and play from there (it happened once with me)

Also check if the other formats vedio play fine with vlc if not then uninstall and reinstall VLC player.

  • LabVIEW Vision will not create large AVI file

    Good afternoon

I'm having a problem with my camera data storage in an AVI file for further processing.

    Installation of equipment:

Camera of the Grey Gazelle edge

    2 cables of camera Link

    Card PCIe-1433

    Software:

    LabVIEW 2013

    Module vision 2013

    Computer:

    Dell Inspiron

    Windows 7 Professional

    NTFS drive - 1 TB

    16 GB OF RAM

X 4 PCIe bus does support speed

Now the camera captures approximately 280 fps.

I have a LabVIEW application that captures the image and writes it to an AVI file.

I use 1 buffer IMAQ and the loop runs so fast that he has an image to store.

I found the best performance using the codec uncompressed Y800 gray.

First series of tests, with only 8 GB of RAM.

When I run 10 seconds, everything is good.  I get about 2800 stored images.

When I tried to run for 20 seconds, it would go well for about 12 or 13 seconds and then go very slowly (50 images per second).

I assumed it was eating to the top of the available RAM.

So, I replaced the 8 GB of RAM with 16 GB.

Everything seemed to work as before.

I ran the routine of capture of data for 10 seconds, he collected all the images, everything is good.

I then tried to run entering data for 20 seconds.

It seemed to work very well, the image is displayed on the screen, the gauge of speed indicated that he was turning to about 280 fps.

When I open the AVI file, he had only 3846 stored images, about 13.7 seconds.

I ran once again, the capture of data for 30 seconds.

It seemed to work very well, the image was correctly displayed on the screen, gauge speed indicated that he was turning to about 280 fps.

When I open the AVI file, he had only 3846 stored images.

When I checked the hard drive directory, these two test files are the same size.

    2 065 819 KO.

With the NTFS file system, there should not be a limit to the size.

And the LabVIEW does not plant when she was doing writing to AVI function.

Y at - it a maximum size for the AVI file, I run in to?

    Or something else?

    Thank you
    Jeff

  • How to convert AVI files for first CS4 (Mac) with VLC - Please Help!

Hi thanks for the reading-post it here for the first time.

I'm another grass sorry, trying to convert AVI files, so I can import them into first CS4 on a Macbook Pro laptop. I am using VLC on the macbook to perform the conversion. I don't want to use free converters such as iSquint (tried and many others) b/c they cause a significant loss of video quality. But I'm trying to do it for free! (I'm broke).

Been read tons here and on other forums to get advice first, but in my view, none is really specific to my situation.

I'm fine (slight quality loss) video but NO Audio. I want the audio too!

AVI files seized on an old NV3 camera SD card.

VLC said the Codecs for these files I got off the SD card are as follows:
    0 workflow:
    Type - video
    Codec - MPEG - 4 (XVID) video
    Resolution - 640 x 480
    Rate - 30

    Stream 1:
    Type - Audio
    Codec-MS ADPCM (audio ms)
    Channels: Mono
    Sampling frequency - 22050 Hz
    Bits per sample - 16

I tried several different configurations with VLC conversion according to the documentation of "Supported file Formats for import in first CS4": http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/PremierePro/4.0/WSf52ca809ac8f6c7135876f961243120b72d-8000.htm l

For example I tried to convert the same file as follows:

    Wrapper MPEG 1 - converted with MPEG-1 VIDEO 1024 bits/Audio MP3 192-bit
    Wrapper MPEG 1 - converted with MPEG-1 VIDEO 1024 bits/Audio MP3 128-bit
    Wrapper MPEG 1 - converted with MPEG-1 VIDEO 1024 bits/MPEG Audio 128-bit
    Wrapper MPEG 1 - converted with MPEG-2 VID 1024 bits/Audio MP3 128-bit
    Wrapper MPEG 1 - converted with MPEG - 1 1024 bits/MPEG Audio 16 bit VID
    Wrapper MPEG 1 - converted with MPEG - 1 1024 bits/MP3 Audio 16 bit VID

When converting to MP4 (MPEG-4) I get a general error while importing first so no dice on that, and I tried a lot of other configurations/combinations, but not all.

I check each result with VLC before import into the Prime Minister and they play both audio & video fine with VLC.

My question is the following: what settings can I select in VLC for audio first? Or if there is a specific codec I need to download and install a download link... would be much appreciated.

    Alternative solution?...

If I put these files on the SD card in my camera and click on and drag them on the macbook pro laptop as AVI files (instead of dragging to a PC first, as was the case)... don't you think it would make a diff?  Also, I tried sucking to the top of the camera first, but that didn't work... the camera turns on when connected to the computer... so that you can not navigate to a file on the camera and then use the GUI first to suck.

I have a laptop. These original files play well with Windows Movie Maker because I downloaded the appropriate codec. Hi and low tried a mac version of this codec without result. CS4 my install discs do not work on Windows/PC. Trust me I wish they did! Even the configuration required on the package is in the absence of any mention of Windows. Windows Movie Maker convert .mov... that was my first game b4 plan, I realized that VLC was quite robust and user-friendly in its Export Wizard codec functionality.

Any help would be much appreciated! I swear! I'm banging my head against the wall and I want to just change already!

    Thank you!

Do not use the flow function; This isn't what you are doing.  (Although technically, I don't think it matters)

Use the convert/save option.  The first screening, video - H.264 + AAC (MP4), should work great.  Don't change anything.  Save the file with a MOV or MP4 extension.

If you get audio weird sounding, then create your own preset that matches the Video - H.264 + AAC (MP4) preset, uncheck only Audio the Audio tab and convert to video.  Then run convert/Save using the Audio - CD preset.  Save the file as a WAV (or an AAC?).

Import the 2 files into PR.  You shouldn't have synchronization problems if the points are aligned in when you add them to the sequence.
