What's in a .vin file?

I noticed when you work with AWR project that there is a *.emp and *.vin files that have the same name as my project.  What is the .vin file?

Hello

When you close a project, a .vin with the same name of stem from the record that the project file is created. The .vin file contains information that windows are open, including their size and their location. It also contains information about the State has collapsed and expanded the project tree. When a project that has an accompanying .vin file is opened, the interface of the project when the project was closed is restored. If a .vin file does not exist, when a project is loaded without windows are open and the hierarchy of the entire design in project browser is expanded.

Also, in the case where you wondered why it's a separate file, not only stored in the project file (*.) EMP), it is because if you were to open a project and display data in charts, changing the State of the window, then this would require the project to be saved again.  With the file separate wine then you can open the project, search data, and then close without being prompted to save the project to close.

Thank you

Shane

What makes you think that apple will stop downgrade iTunes? They make him billions.

Even if they did whatever it is already downloaded would continue to work and all etc CDs you imported will also continue to work.

The most likely scenario is that you have an older version of Windows (or Mac OS X), that cannot run the latest version of iTunes. If this is used, you'd still be able to run the old version already installed iTunes and still access your existing files. This applies to Windows XP for example.

Each file type is in a different format.  The formats are different
    essentially for two reasons:

    1. the files contain any other type of information. For
example, an mp3 file contains a music and a xls file contains a
worksheet. The music and spreadsheets are very different things and one
a unique type of guy would not work for both.

    2. There is also the example of the types of files that are very different, even
Although basically they both contain the same type of data. For example,.
a doc file is a file created by Microsoft Word processor (or
some compatible programs) and a wpd file is a text file
created by WordPerfect. This is because Word and WordPerfect are two
very different programs, with very different characteristics. Designers
and authors of each of the programs designed for a type of file that would be
works very well with their program.

    http://www.PCAUSA.com/

It is usually located in C:\Program Files\Common\Motive. This is part of the management software in Broadband Mobile Communications, which is now part of Alcatel-Lucent. This software is distributed by several ISPS to provide their users with Office diagnosis.

Win32.TDSS.reg isn't a registry key, but the name is similar to that of known malware.

  • What program opens the .dvd file created on a Windows XP computer?

I tried to open the video that have a .dvd file extension. I tried several trial programs, but none does not recognize the extension. The videos were created on my old computer using Windows XP, but many programs I moved were lost when the hard drive is gone on my new Vista machine. I do not have Vista Ultimate so I can't use the previous versions feature and I tried so many programs to open these films that the Properties tab shows that this last program that the file 'opens with '. I guess I need to know what program created the.dvd files and what I can do to save them. I don't have the original avi or mpeg files any longer. Thanks in advance,

You're welcome... and thanks for the comments.

Congratulations for the recovery of your files.

    Hi Jack,

This driver belongs to AsIO.sys Asus Probe. Try to uninstall Asus Probe and if you need, install again. If this does not help, uninstall Asus Probe and other tools of control such as Speedfan. Open the registry (regedit.exe) editor and search for AsIO.sys and remove all the entries that you can find.

I don't know what they are. What are in?

Basically, you can delete all the .tmp files. Note, however, that
Although 102,000,000 may seem like a large number, it's actually a
small amount of disk space. These days, where you can buy a 250 GB hard
drive for about US $50, 102MB is about 2 cents worth.

  • What are the font AFM files to?

Given that Adobe Font Folio provides and as far as I know always provided fonts PostScript Type 1, in its Mac version, with the contour files + a file suitcase per family which supposedly included the metric of fonts in the range of resources, and in his versions of Windows, with contour PFB + metric files PFM files, what have been the AFM file never compatible with? Why Adobe also include those? What have been their alleged use cases? In fact, wasn't every other foundry fonts PostScript Type 1 in the same way? What would we ever need of these AFM files, even back in the day?

Back in the day, there are applications that have used the .afm files to get beyond metrics to put in the files .pfm on Windows or the screen fonts called on the Mac. And besides, there are also applications that functioned on raw MS-DOS or UNIX that don't support other mechanisms of metrics.

In addition, ATM (Adobe Type Manager, not the ATM) had the ability to create files .pfm from a combination of the file .pfb and corresponding .inf and .afm files sent in packs of fonts early who often do not have a .pfm file.

Of course, with fonts OpenType, the need for all other files disappeared.

I have a backup, but what is the name of the contacts file so that I can restore the backup?  After that the last operating system updated, the contacts file is empty.

  • What happens to iCloud disk files when you reinstall the operating system

    Hello.

So I thought I use iCloud drive to store files from work because I had to increase 50 GB due to miss the free 5 GB because of photos.

But my doubt is what happens if my hard drive is going nuts and I install everything... With a new installation, what happens to the files? Download automatically? Or they are deleted on the server (since the new drive iCloud installation folder would be empty)? And can they be backed up with Time Machine? If so, if I get Time machine, it automatically retrieves files from iCloud drive?

I'm sorry for so many questions, but these are important files.

    Thank you!

The files are up in the cloud - iCloud!

  • If I open a tab that has a vine file, Firefox crashes. I don't even have to click on the vine-just that it is part of tha page will crash Firefox

If I fall on a vine someone has posted to twitter, or go to a Web page where someone posted a vineyard, Firefox will crash. I don't even have to click on the 'play' button-Firefox will crash. How to use FF to block the vine to load even on my pc?

It's strange, it's hard to imagine a good reason for it.

I see you have Blocksite. Have you tried this model:

    http://*.vine.co

    Edit: You may also need:

    https://*.vine.co

When Firefox crashes, it generally records information about what was happening at that time. You can submit these data to Mozilla and share with the volunteers of the forum to see if it points to the solution. Please read the support article "Firefox blocks - troubleshoot to prevent and help in establishing accidents" (especially the last section) to get the how to get these IDs crash and then after the most recent here.

If you get the Mozilla Crash Reporter and rather get a Windows dialog box, maybe videos are somehow triggering an incompatibility with the driver for your graphics card. To work around the problem, you can try to disable the use of Firefox hardware acceleration of graphics.

the button Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

Which comes into effect after you quit and then restart Firefox.
