What size leads on vmware host
Hello world
If we use iscsi SAN and Vsphere 4 and I'd like to add a host 3rd in our infrastructure, what size of the disks SAS should we buy.
The other 2 hosts are HP DL 365 G5 with disks SAS 4 x 150 GB in raid 5 with 32 GB of ram each.
I think that when we built, we have too many spec'd HDDs in terms of capacity for guests.
I have undedstand that they would only be used for swap for vmware esxi space 4 OS as all virtual machines are anyway on the san.
So, can we just buy the SAS drives more little ones who are made?
Thank you!!

What size an SSD and the amount of memory can add to my Pavilion x 2?
I have a Pavilion x 2 with 4 GB of SDRAM DDR3L memory and a 64 GB SSD (mSATA). Because the HP partition takes a bit of the SSD, I end up with only about 40 GB and 4 GB memory is barely enough (for example, to download updates to Windows, the laptop must have 3 GB free). Thus, we can load much much about x 2 flag. I am constantly copying data to an external drive and must carefully monitor its use to ensure that I get Windows security updates.
My warranty is faster and although I like this laptop very well (it is well built and solid and a good size and weight), I want it to be usable in the context of Windows 10 and as a more practical machine (i.e.: not just to watch videos and play games of the app). Then I'll add some memory and want to increase the SSD.
I know that I can only increase the memory up to 8 GB (single location). Which is absolute? I can't go 16Gb? I also know that it is possible to get a 128 GB SSD (LITEONIT) HP, but that, once - again has the HP partition on it which swallows about 20 GB or more. Is the motherboard or BIOS limit how large an mSATA SSD drie I might add? That would mean no partition HP and a clan 10 Windows Installer (using the license of the Pavilion x 2). I realize that's NOT what HP wants. But given that the guarantee will be more, I don't see what difference it makes. It's cheaper for me to upgrade this ntebook me that in order to pay for a new laptop, which frankly, doesn't have the features that are so new as to make itworth my time to change machine.
If anyone with technical knowledge can answer these questions for me, I would be grateful. I want to kow how I can add a disk mSATA SSD memory and what size I will add to my Pavilion x 2?
Thank you.
I can see how one might think I would say that. However, change of RAM and SSD do not negate your warranty. I must however advise you (which seems you already know, but it must be said) that damage as a direct result of this is not covered by HP.
Also, for future reference you can find all the information upgrade, especially if it uses the memory of the UMA in the service guide to laptops that can easily lie on your devices support page. The best way to find it is with a simple Google search of "Pavilion 11-h110ca x 2 Service Guide". I went ahead and find it for you: PC HP Pavilion 11 x 2 - Maintenance and Service of Guide.
You will see also on your support page of products that it says clearly it uses the built-in memory and therefor cannot be upgraded.
However, the DSS is a SATA m2. The service guide will be one listing of player list for readers used in this series of portable include a 64 GB and 128 GB SSD SATA m2. (Yes, it seems to be a typo in the service guide indicating 64 MB and 128 MB, I have already taken the lead and reported.) There is no 'maximum size' like any other computer. Special circumstances are that a drive over 2 TB must be initialized using the GUID partition table (GPT) partitioning schΘma. He must also use UEFI and BIOS not.
In addition, if you intend to use the HP drive recovery media must be the same size or larger. A smaller drive won't be partitioned correctly and may fail. Considering that you are trying to upgrade it's irrelevant information, but it can be very handy in the future if replace a SSD HARD drive. If you have your own version of Windows and that you plan to do a clean install this caveat does not apply.
I hope that answers your questions and cancels all preconceived assumptions about how HP to manage the upgrade of PC.
Thank you!

Manager Update on the VMware host updated
I have two VMware hosts with vCenterServer running in a virtual machine on a host. Manager of update is loaded and it works very well.
I would like to be updated (install patches) the host who has VCenterServer on this. Technical support said that he could not tell me that it was OK to make a staging of the update with UpdateManager on the host. My plan was to push updates on, then use vSphere client to manually restart the host that is home to the VCenterServer. It makes sense that it would work, but the tech told me to create a second vCenterServer on the other host. It's a lot of work.
Anyone has successfully done what I was planning to do? I look at UpdateManager patch the first host, it seems that Update Manager pushes updates to the host, and then goes into maintenance mode and restarts. Why not push updates, then restart manually?
Any other suggestions or ways to do from the console?
You can update the hosts through command-line if you stop vcenter.

Portege 7100 - what size HARD drive it does support?
Hello
my old man (I'm a student, so no money for a new) Portege 7100 (ct) has a small hard drive, so I want to shift to a bigger... but what size HARD drive supports the 7100ct? (and that's a 1.8 "or can I use drives 2.5"?)
thx for any help...
Hello
As far as I know that your unit has standard 2.5 "hard drive. Unfortunately there is no public record of such information. Accurate information, you can get that from accredited service partner or even some HARD drive supplier.
In my opinion, your device must be able to manage with maximum up to 8 or 10 GB HARD drive. For me, we know that some offering it can manipulate the BIOS with special tools and after that BIOS recognize a much larger capacity HARD drive.Try to pick up some information on the net service partner or call your country. I believe that consultation service is free.
Good bye

I just installed my HP Envy and wanted to set up a recovery disk. The USB key must be less than 32gigs, but the example has not been updated for Windows 10 the instructions say. It shows a recovery screen for a laptop of Win8 with the source of recovery like 17 concerts. Is there a way to check the requirements for the front to accept the HP one time recovery option. I have a new 16 GB USB key and wanted to make sure that it is large enough.
Also do a backup image to DVD? If so, how many DVDs? The laptop is new and I added only Chrome and some minor programs. My data files are always on an external hard drive.
Hello
Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.
To be honest, I don't know what size will be that these recovery files are because they can vary from the version of Windows to another. They can vary from a model.
In my opinion, 16 GB is probably not enough.
DVDs are usually 6 (6x4.7 GB = about 28 GB) but this can vary from one model.
This possibility of imbedding maybe once, there are other ways that you can save your system indefinitely.
This is a free option included in all windows (creating system image, it's free as included in Vista from the outset).
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03544793
However, this option requires (e.g. USB HDD) external HARD disk or DVD. It does not work with USB flash drives.

Satellite M40X-189 - replace HARD disk - what size should I go to?
Hi, I have a SATELLITE M40X-189, I would like to replace the hard drive and would like if possible some recommendations!
I know I need an ide/pata and I currently have a hard disk of 40 GB hitachi 5400 rpm installed. The memory is just what came installed originally, (512 MB, no upgrade). So what size I can up to?
I have a lot of music/photos and video to change so must also size decent 80 GB would be enough?
I really don't use it for anything other than that, and also the navigation on the internet. Although I often have a few programs running at the same time which causes problems... freeze, (in particular I tunes) and generally slow running.I'm confident on the physical replacement, and I know how to clone my old drive hard etc, but just need some info about the size and speed and if possible
a recommendation of the manufacturer. Just worried about incompatibility really issues. Also, if you think I should install more memory, which size and make and model may recommend.
Thank you in advance!
Denise.
Hi mate
First he must know that this question have been posted a lot of time in the forum.
If you want to use the search option, then you will find this thread for example:
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=68287Is the M40X series supports the IDE controller and I think that you need a 2.5 IDE HDD.
The old ide controllers are limited to 128 GB with 28-bit LBA
However, you can take an 80 GB or 120 GB HARD drive and it should work fineWelcome them

Equium L40 - 17 M: what size drive HARD maximum can I use?
I was wondering if anyone knows the maximum size of the hard drive I can install it, and what should I look for when you buy one?
Thank you very much
Hello
I think that the L40 supports disk HARD 2.5 SATA and he s not what size HARD drive is important.
The laptop must manage each 2.5 SATA HDD.
500 GB 2.5 HDD is currently the largest on the market, but in the next time you will find the 2.5 SATA HDD that supports 1 TB (1000 GB). -
I want to install windows on my new macbook and I need to create a partition. I have not now what size to make my windows partition. Can someone give me some advice?
1. in what year is your Mac?
2. What is the size of your storage internal?
3. what version of Windows?
4 as a general rule 60-100 GB for W8 + / W10 is recommended. You can also create a minimum Windows (30-50 GB) and use an external drive D: for documents applications for portability.

HP S2031 20 "monitor I want to mount on the wall. What size screws to mount?
I have a monitor HP S2031 I want to mount on the wall. What size screws I put in the monitor to attach it to the media.
Thank you!
Sandy59
The series of HP products that monitor your S2031 comes from States, "this monitor uses the compatible VESA 100 x 100 mm installation ports." This means that there should be 4 screw holes, square shaped, at the back of the monitor to 3-15/16 inch independently of the other. In the monitor screw holes should have metric threads ISO "M4" and are typically 10 mm deep. The appropriate screws (usually 10mm shorter or longer) are normally provided with the stand.

What size and where can find replacement for the 70-200 2.8 L IS lens screws?
Three of the four live in my 70-200 2.8 L IS lens magically disappeared the same day... I can't find anywhere online, what size they are. I can't afford to send the lens in the Canon - I don't know if I can find the screws, I'm able to screw, lol.
The screws in question are the in the ring closest to the camera body. Attached photo for reference. Thank you!

can someone help me understand what size lens covers I need?
I know that sounds stupid, but how big lense cover doI need to:
STM 18-55mm IS Zoom and:
EF 75-300mm lenses? I start over. Thanks to ANYONE who can help, thank you
(it seems so obvious, hiding a 55 mm and 75 mm cover, however, they do not look right...)
You probably need 58mm lens covers, the same size as the filters they use. Look at the front of the lens. You can usually find some identifying marking that tells you what size filter for use with lenses. A cover page would be the same size as the lens filter. The back cover is fairly standard across all the mount EF lenses.

I have ACER Aspire V3 - 574 G - 7198 and I would like to know what size of RAM can handle my motherboard? I know that the my processor can handle up to 16 GB of RAM, now I have installed only 4 GB of RAM (original), but I want to update to 12 GB of RAM. I want to know if my motherboard can handle?
I have received and read your private message. Yes, you can install 8 GB + 4 GB (current module). They will work at 1600 instead of 800 MHz (single channel). You will see the difference!
Here are the compatible memory modules:
If you have the budget, I recommend buying a set of 16 GB (2x8Gb).
