I wait and wait and nothing happens after several minutes. This has happened 5 times recently. Is there something I need to do to allow FF to access my computer? Just bought a new laptop with Windows 7 Home Edition and decided to shrink the C: drive and create a D: drive. Everything seems to go correctly, and I get to the 'End of Volume Wizard' screen without problem. All the choices seem to be OK but when I click OK I get a warning that says "the operation you selected will convert selected basic disks and dynamic disks...". "I want to do this? If I do, what are the consequences? If I don't want to convert a dynamic disk how create a D: drive which remains a basic disk?

Cleveland, OHHi Ken Dunn,
Welcome to Windows 7 Community Forums
Basic disks and dynamic disks are of two types of hard disk configurations in Windows. Most personal computers are configured as basic disks, which are the simplest to manage. Advanced users and it professionals can make use of dynamic disks, which use multiple hard drives in a computer to manage data, usually to improve performance or reliability.

6 the partition selected (step 4) has now shrunk to create a new empty unallocated space. You can use this new space unallocated to create a new partition with.

How to connect new IMac to old IMac to transfer files?
I need to plug my June 2010 IMac in a new IMac 2016 to transfer data. What cable do I and what ports should I use to connect?
Thank you.
Gina
You can do it with an Ethernet cable (and on two Macs Ethernet ports) and use file sharing. You can also connect via WiFi, but the transfer speed will be slower. If both Mac connected to the Internet via a common router, you already have a link between two Macs. Here is information on file sharing
How to connect with the file sharing on your Mac - Apple Support
There is also an automated tool called Migration Wizard, if duties are not suitable for your task

After installing a new iMac Elements 8 will launch is no longer.
I recently installed a new iMac (OS 10.10.1) and Elements 8 launch is over, return the 150:30 Error Message. Can anyone help with this?
Scott Hunter
What do you mean by "installed a new imac? Do you mean that you copied a copy installed PES from another computer or machine in time? You can never, ever do that with PSE. It's too complex a program and neither you nor the Migration Wizard can find ever all necessary bits. You should always install from scratch. If copy you it, post back for instructions to manually remove what has you more so that you can do a clean install.

MY DELL LATITUDE D610 HOW CAN I UPGRADE TO THE NEW VERSION OF WINDOWS? NOW IT IS WINDOWS 7, WHAT VERSION IS SUPPORT FOR USE WELL ON MY DEVICE? PLEASE HELP ME
Read this: upgrade Windows 10 Dell Latitude D610
Take a look at my answer, complete instructions.
Basically speaking, Dell officially supports Windows 2000 and Windows XP on Dell Latitude D610 (and other models of Dx10).
However it can really run Windows Vista and 7 at least, as long as you max out the RAM (2 GB, 2 x 1 GB, can be purchased at a great price in eBay) and install the drivers, in particular graphics drivers, look in Device Manager and see what drivers are needed manually.
If you're lucky to have a D610 with ATi graphics card then you can even run Windows 8 and 10 with all drivers available, and I can tell you that it won't be slow dog not unlike a lot of people say, I don't have something similar (a HP Compaq nx8220) in common use. Keep as lean as possible (not bloatwares, anti-virus etc.) system, and it will serve you well.
