What type of graphics card intel is included w/the envy 15 t select w / 4200 m processor

graphics card intel comes w / the 4200 m processor. is it the same thing as the 4200u?

The selection of 15 t - j1000 comes with Intel HD integrated graphics based on the processor card and you can also order a discreet NVIDIA 740 M or 750 M card. The i5-4200U is a CPU ultra-low-power and comes with Intel HD 4400 graphics designation. The i5 - 4200M is a higher powered mobile processor and comes with the designation of Intel HD 4600 Graphics. Please see CPUBoss-i5-4200U vs i5-4200 M for a comparison full side-by-side two processors.

  • I would like to turn off the graphics card Intel HD on my HP ENVY 17 Quad-j000 t

    I have a HP ENVY 17 t-j000 with Windows 8.1 Pro

My problem is I would like to disable the Intel HD graphics and NVIDIA run the computer and my view: I can do?

    Help, please!

    Hello

    The short answer is no.

On your system type, the gpu from Intel is always used to render the view final, regardless of whether the discrete Nvidia chip is used for the treatment or non-graphical.

For more information on the functioning of this type of "Switchable" graphics technology, see the white paper at the following link.

I just downloaded and installed the video editing software, Blackmagic Design "DaVinci Resolve". The first launch this program popped up a warning that my graphics card is unable to be aware of the program.

Device Manager showd Intel Core i3-5020U at 2.20 GHz and Intel HD Graphics 5500. Is the HD Graphics 5500 graphics card, that the program referred to as? Or is it another graphics card. If it is the graphics card, the called program then what graphics card do I need to manage video of Davinci Resolve installation work?

And, for a WAG response, (guess wild donkey), I need will need more than 6 GB of RAM for the DaVinci Resolve progtram?

One of the HP laptops, Gaming should be ideal for video editing software. They are priced at $899 and discrete graphics. Learn about the options available.

15 Omen, I currently have as a loan of HP product would be a large notebook of video editing.

Two of these laptops come with 8 GB of memory installed, but you should consider having 16 GB for video editing.

Your computer's system firmware does include enough information to properly configure and use this device.
To use this device, contact the manufacturer to obtain a firmware or an update of the BIOS of your computer. (Code 35)

  • What type of video card to get?

    I have a HP Pavilion a6742p-b PC.

The integrated graphics are fine for general use, but several games, which I installed refused to run without a graphics caqrd more capable, with more memory etc.

What type of game card should I do my shopping for this computer? (AGP, PCI-express, etc.).

I would like to have the dual monitor support if possible. Thank you for any information.

    Charlesb in Texas.

Thanks, old_geekster, that is great information!

Dig around for a beefier PS which will suit and hang, max out the RAM to 8 MB and are looking for a PCIexpress card who likes the motherboard.

I'm happy enough if I can be just a few years behind the curve on the game, a lot of my favorite games back to the last century. -So, is not ready to make the last commands is OK for this machine. Hit capacity so that it can run two monitors and manage more games seems simple enough, and given that I will seek for the video material of last generation, that should offset some of the heftier power load.

I take a bit of the Pavilion. My trusty old XP machine was destroyed by a weather event, so I did office stuff at home on an old Athlon 400 MHz with 500 MB of RAM and Win98 for too long. Once I have reproduced all data and software on the HP, the old Win98 machine will return to retirement closet once again, with honor, if not with regret.

Should I publish my experiences pursuing this topic?  I'm a little new here, so I don't know what is appropriate.

  • Tecra M7: What types of SD cards are supported?

    Hello

I just tried a SD Transcend 150 x with 4 GB to read with my Tecra M7.
The card works find with my MDA and is formatted correctly. It also works well with a card reader.
My M7 said, it might be not formatted and wanted to format.

So my question which is: what types of SD cards are supported?

Thanks in advance and Shine On, Frank

    Hello

It seems that your laptop card reader would not be able to handle 4 GB SD cards.
Each computer laptop SD card reader supports a hardware limitation, and it seems that this card is not supported.
I m not 100% sure on taken supported card formats SD but the SD 256 MB card, 512 MB, 1024MB and 2048MB should work

A question: have you tried to use the Toshiba SD card format utility? This tool allows you to format a standard SD format SD memory card.

  • Help! I disabled my graphics card intel on my y510p

I feel pretty stupid. My Nvidia Control Panel does not work, so I looked for a solution online. Someone said to turn off the graphics card intel (so the system would default to the 750 m from Nvidia). I tried this and my computer was very weird. The functions of the menu (windows 8) start very well, but nothing works to the level of office. I can move my mouse and click on the icons and menus on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, but no programs will open. I tried to navigate on my control panel through the start menu and still nothing happens. Can I do to solve this problem? Can I re-enable the onboard graphics via safe mode or something?

Naturally, it did not fix the Nvidia Control Panel either...

Thanks to you two, I restored my laptop and the problem is solved. It took me awhile to find the Novo key but, I didn't know yet that it's there!

    Thanks again!

If your system is an OptiPlex gx270s you top AGP slot to set up a discrete video card. The integrated video card is automatically disabled when you connect the discrete video card.

  • 17 t j000 touchsmart forcing skyrim use nVida video or turn off the graphics card intel

    Hi all

I just got this new computer and try to make it work with the game Elder Scrolls v Skyrim   the game starts and runs ok however by default is of poor quality with video intel detected 4600.   Don't want to use the video intel when even, so no matter not much.  I want to use is the video card from nVidia to 740 m.

I went into the NVIDIA Control Panel and things together global use the nividia card, in program files, I put all the exe files of the game to use the nvidia card.   I entered skyrimprefs and sd3ddivice to change sD3DDevice = "Nvidia GeForce GT M 740" when I start the game it resets the video at the bottom and when I look at his still trying to use the card intel.  The skyrimprefs file is more written with sD3DDevice = 'Intel (R) graphics HD 4600'.

So the question is how to get the game to work with nVidia card?  Or how to disable the card intel?

Went into device manage and disabled the graphics card intel and skyrim can't always find the nVidia card. It uses Microsoft basic pilot to return instead.  A difference that I noticed is the base of Microsoft driver it will default the video quality of average quality rather than low quality I get with the 4600 built in processor video card.

    PROBLEM SOLVED

I was running enb and needed to use the version of the injector instead of the version of wrapper.  the file d3d9.dll in the wrapper version forced things to use the graphics card intel.
