What Version of Vcenter Converter to install?

Hello world

New to the Group and have recently played with VMWare. Our 3 Vcenter servers run v4.1. I wanted to P2V a machine

to one of our guests and noticed, Vcenter Converter we had not installed on Vcenter server.  When I looked

to this he said Converter 4.2, installed and tried to start it. Came back with an error of not finding a configuration file and

that I should reinstall the software.  Following a vmware doc, it was suggested that I go to the Vcenter server and uninstall the

conversion software, uninstalled both the converter and the customer. Now trying to find the right version of the converter to reinstall.

Watching downloads I am presented with 4.3 standalone - it would be OK?

My apologies for the level of detail in the question, trying to FYI as well as ask.

Converter 4.3 is the current version, although there is also a public beta version of Converter 5.0 (http://communities.vmware.com/community/vmtn/beta/public_converter_50) that works really well. However, you also need to consider that comments of the operating systems you want to convert. The most recent versions of the converter do not support for example Windows NT and 2000.

How can I find out what version of flash player, I installed?
Until recently, I could visit http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ telling me.
But now, this page simply redirects to http://www.adobe.com/products/flash.html which is a sales pitch for Adobe Flash Prorefessional CS5.5 and no longer displays the version that I installed.

In the place where this feature moved?

I'm in Firefox 4.0 on Windows 7, where it is important.

HI beyond that was published only, you can use it. It must also offer the animation of the Flash Player logo, which is an indication of where Flash Player works correctly. It also displays the version FP.

  • 4.0 vcenter converter re - install?

Quick question for the gurus. Have no chance to find a solution in the KB so I invite the masses.

VSphere converter that comes with installing vCenter has been uninstalled. Is it possible to re - install the built in vCenter converter without having to uninstall/reinstall the whole vCenter Server install? I thought it would really cut and dry, but I can't find any documentation in support of what appears to be a simple reinstallation.

    I'm ready to be humiliated!

It's in a plug-in.  you stop VI client, restart it.  Click plug-ins, it should be there.

If you have uninstalled from the server vCenter converter, it is on the CD, or a file. ZIP, it is in the installation folder, in the folder of converter

  • What version of windows 7 to install? 32 or64

I have a HP Pavilion laptop.  The hard drive crashed while I bought a new one and installed it.  I tried a clean install of windows 7, so I bought the drive for her.  It contained a 32-bit version and a 64-bit version.  I installed the 32-bit and sometimes very well but I need to get some drivers.  When I went to the HP site, it seemed I should have installed the 64 bit version.  How will I know what is the correct version of the machine?

Check the amount of RAM is installed first:

Click Start, right click on computer

    Click on properties

    Look under "installed memory.

If its less than 4 GB or 3 GB, then Windows 7 32-bit is the appropriate version.

Although 64-bit can run on 2 GB or more, you will not realize the benefits.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/32-bit-and-64-bit-Windows-frequently-asked-questions

My PC running the 32-bit version or 64-bit Windows?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/find-out-32-or-64-bit

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-7

Windows 7 64 bit comes in handy when you need to deal with at least 4 GB of RAM or more. Windows 7 32 bit can use up to 3.2 GB of RAM. Because the address space of memory is much larger for 64-bit Windows, this means that you need two times more memory than the 32-bit Windows to accomplish some of the same task, but you are able to do much more, you can have more apps open, do things like run a virus scan in the background it will affect the performance of your system. 64-bit Windows 7 is safer too, malicious code cannot easily infiltrate it, drivers are more reliable because they must be signed before it can work with 64 bit Windows 7.

Regarding compatibility, you need device drivers 64-bit hardware devices, you may have. In addition, there is no 16-bit subsystem in Windows 7 64-bit, which means, your applications must be 32-bit only, not 16-bit Installer or programs uninstaller. Also, if you decide to switch to Windows 7 64 bit in the future, there is no way to upgrade from 32-bit Windows, clean install only.

  • What version of Windows has been installed originally on HP pavilion

I'm working on a HP pavilion Notebook. I'm trying to install the OS on one drive hard new, after the death of the other. I have the sticker code key, complete with the key code and a few other numbers, one under a bar code on the side of the tile. The part that rubbed off is the name of the operating system that is the key code. I don't know if it's XP, Vista, home, Pro or this Service pack. Is it possible to say what OS the key code is for with only the key code and the other two numbers?

  • What version of vCenter to use

We are about to build a 20 ESX host close to a new environment.

We decided to deploy the 3.5 for vSphere ESX is a bit too new for mission-critical for us. However...

VCenter being backward compatible we could theoretically deploy vCenter 4.0 with ESX 3.5 and then just upgrade to ESX4 host in the future.

I would like to just hear some comments from the other if vCenter 4 with ESX 3.5 is a good fit (what are the risks) for a new 20 host environment.

    Thank you!

I have more small environment, total, 9 guests but vCenter 4 works well with ESX3.5. I have 6 4.0 servers and 3-3.5

  • WLS - JMS: want to know what version of TIBCO jars are installed in the project

    Hi all

We have a setup of Weblogic server sending messages to TIBCO foreign JMS server.

We have a project that is already installed, then how to check that it is installed, with which version of TIBCO jars with?

Indications in this regard would be very useful.

    Thanks in advance.

You could try to call javax.jms.Connection.getMetaData () on a Tibco JMS connection instance. Other that that, I'm not aware of any standard way JEE to determine the version of an arbitrary JMS client.

  • See 4.6 - What version of vCenter is necessary?

    Greetings-

I have a (rather small) client that (3) is deploying about (6) ESXi hosts virtual machines running server. Customers want to implement a small view 4.6 deployment (about 20 customers). The customer is currently using vCenter Foundation Edition since they are only (3) ESXi hosts. My question is should the customer move to vCenter Standard Edition to implement see 4.6? Obviously if the customer is seeking to expand the number of ESXi hosts then upgrade to vCenter Standard Edition would be required but for this first deployment of view 4.6 I wanted to make sure that that vCenter Standard Edition was not necessary.

    THX in advance

    Joe.

There are different ways to buy.  You can buy view add on which allows you to take advantage of your existing licenses vSphere/vCenter in the environment or you can buy the view bundle which comes with vCenter and vSphere licenses that can be used to view office workloads.

At the moment European Toshiba driver page doesn't provide drivers and BIOS for the XP operating system.

Of course, you have the SATA driver installed first, if you want to install one of the Windows OS (Vista or XP)
Many people have already installed XP on the L40 PSL40E and they didn't update the BIOS!
