Microsoft does not Media Center Windows 10 to be released
later this year, so everything you buy with Windows Pro 8.1 with Media Center, or
Windows 8.1Pro more than one $10.00 go to Media Center or Windows 8.1 for $ 100
upgrade to Pro + Media Center is a machine, to that you will not be able to upgrade
Windows 10 If you want that Media Center.

There has not been a team of dev to Media Center for some time. Ms. believes that it is
dead.

My advice to you is to seek alternatives such as XBMC, etc to replace your
Media Center needs.

  • How to move to the Windows 7 version of Windows Media Center on Windows Vista?

Original title: window Media Center upgrade

I have a Windows Vista PC running Media Center version 6.0.600 window. I have another PC with OS 7, which has Media Center of the window version 6.1.7600. Two media centres are sufficiently different, especially about the Internet streaming, to where I would like to upgrade the Vista machine with the version of Windows 7 Media Center (6.1.7600). Is it possible and if yes, where I would be able to download the new version? I know that it is upgraded to OS 7 is an option that would automatically give me the best version of Windows Media Center, but I can't really afford the upgrade at this time. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated as I am tired of searching the Web for answers to what I thought, it was a simple question.

    Thank you!

    Hi elad58,

Unfortunately, Windows 7 version of Windows Media Center is not available for download in any of the official sites Microsoft. It is not possible to upgrade to the updated release of Windows Media Center.

  • I have Windows 7 HP G60 Notebook PC. What version of Windows Media Player I have?

I need Version 11 to be compatible with my MP3 player to download the video.

    Hello

You have WMP12 that comes with Windows 7. It should work with your MP3 as long
Windows 7 can recognize the device. Check with the manufacturer MP3 support and their
    Forums (if any).

Don't forget to put the MP3 in its parameters to MTP Sync in WMP12 and meteorological service of the Canada if you want
Use it as a drive to copy files to and from it (no music sync'd in WMP).

    I hope this helps.

  • Guide to Windows Media Center TV shows what's on, on any given station

    * Original title: my TVguide WMC shows what's on, on any given station (now and after) after clicking on the aforementioned station. (No further than the following is no longer available)

    Hello

I have windows 7 (64-bit) and I use WMC with a satellite dish (for free-to-air) channels.
I have an internet connection on the PC (I use it to make this post) and the PC is not running and connected to the internet 24/7.
The issue I'm having is that my TVguide WMC shows what's on, on any given station (now and after) after that clicking on the aforementioned station. (No further than the following is no longer available)
This means that I can't record or see what's on. I tried to update the guide (or re-install) and no luck I read all the blogs I can find on the issue and none of them have been the solution to my problem.
The standard options guide do not appear to be available in my version of WMC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Kind regards

  • Where can I get Windows media center xp

Is there a way I can download Windows Media Center for XP, I can't find it on the Microsoft site.

Windows Media Center is a feature within Windows and you can not download it separately. If your edition of Windows comes with media center, then you might find it in the menu start otherwise, you must run edition as Windows Media Center, included in this document, which is Windows XP Media Edition.

However, you might consider getting a Windows 7 that is running Windows Media Center or other third-party tools.

  • Windows Media Center TV tuner not detected

My current operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2
    (I installed SP2 from microsoft.com)
I have the Version of the Windows Media Center - Windows Vista 6.0.6002.18030 software (vistasp2_gdr.090429 - 2357).  I'm trying to watch TV on my laptop.  I have Windows Media Center and am confused about the version because I saw this - if the version number is 6.0.6001.18000, you are NOT running Windows Media Center TV Pack.  You are running the version of Windows Media Center, which is included in Windows Vista or in Windows Vista SP1.

As you can see my version (numbers) are alittle different on the end, also the info in parentheses (vistasp2_gdr.090429 - 2357) I don't know what that means.  When I tried to configure the tv signal in Windows Media Center, I was told: the TV signal cannot be configured because no tv tuner hardware was detected. So, how can I find out if there is an internal tv tuner installed and everything is not detected?  My laptop is new - 3 weeks, and I think that all the drivers are current.   While they inspected the help windows vista hardware compatibility list for 64-bit vista tv tuners, I was flooded for more information that I knew what to do with.  I'm obviously not a computer genius and will never be.  I'm open to suggestions.  I just need to know what I have to do to be able to watch TV on my laptop.  Any help will be appreciated! Thank you.

    Hello

Thanks for choosing Windows Vista Forums.

I recommend you contact the manufacturer of your computer to check for the presence of a TV tuner.

All Vista computers are delivered with the same version of Windows Media Center.
