What version of Windows Media player I have?

I just got Windows 7 so I have to assume, I have the latest version of Windows Media Player, but it does not resemble picutres I see with Windows Media Player 11 and now I see someone talking about the Version 12?
How do I know what version I have? There's no other choice of WORDS. Then... How can I get the latest version. I looked on the Microsoft site but they seem to make it harder to navigate all the time

Just re-read it - Alt H was the answer. The menu appeared and one of the options was 'See the menu bar' who did - thanks, wish I would have noticed that the first time I read this

Since you're running Vista... I suspect that you run Windows
Media Player 11 but as t-4-2 says... go to help / about to check.

There is some info on the executable files on the following link:

  • I have Windows 7 HP G60 Notebook PC. What version of Windows Media Player I have?

I need Version 11 to be compatible with my MP3 player to download the video.

    Hello

You have WMP12 that comes with Windows 7. It should work with your MP3 as long
Windows 7 can recognize the device. Check with the manufacturer MP3 support and their
    Forums (if any).

Don't forget to put the MP3 in its parameters to MTP Sync in WMP12 and meteorological service of the Canada if you want
Use it as a drive to copy files to and from it (no music sync'd in WMP).

    I hope this helps.

  • Older Versions of Windows Media Player - feature music criticism

In 2007, I got a PC with a version of Windows Media Player, I really liked. When he played songs, it gave me a page of the music critic who would tell me about the history of the band or artist, their important works and the meaning of their work on the music as a whole.

The death of this computer, I lost access to this service and not the have not seen in wmp. I did an Internet search to see if I can find it, without success.

Is anyone here know what I speak and if yes, is it anyway to use this service? I really liked it and I am super disappointed I lost him. If it makes a difference, this is on a HP Pavilion laptop. Thank you.

I have a mpeg file played ok before the download Flash Player to move to another place; but now the audio wont play even if the video plays very well.  The mpeg file may was converted from another format mpeg before do me.

    Hello

    1. are you able to play the other mpegs successfully?
    2. what version of Windows Media Player do you use?

I suspect that the file is corrupted.

    Method 1.
Check if you can play the same video in a different media player.

    Method 2.
You may need to check if the codecs work very well to play the file. Check if you have installed third party codecs. Uninstall them and re - install and then check.

    I hope this helps.

  • What is the latest version of Windows Media Player compatible with WM 6.5?

I have a HTC Touch Pro 2 running Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone.  What is the latest version of Windows Media Player, I can use?

    You can not.

Your question was not entirely clear.

WMP is for XP, not the HTC device. If you have Windows mobile on your HTC, then it will be a Media Player built into it. If you have the latest version, AFAIK you update from 6.5 to what is the latest version of Windows Mobile. If its 6.5, then you already have the latest version.

  • How can I tell what version number of Medica Player I have in my PC

How can I tell what version number of Medica Player I have in my PC.  My PC is configured to update automatically.  When I clicked on the 'ownership' of my Windows Media Player ted, it was created on 11 August 2011.  This means that I have the latest version (#12?) in my PC?

    Hi eaumng,

Launch windows media player, right-click on an empty space in the lower right of the media player, hover over or select help and 'media player' and that should bring up a page on the drive media of which version you are running. If you OS is xp sp3, you probably #11 is installed, and it is the most updated for XP version.

  • How always show the toolbar of the improvements in the latest version of Windows Media Player?

I made the switch from XP to Win7 64 bit and I would like to get WMP to behave like the previous version where the playback speed settings were still visible after the opening of WMP. I can't figure out how to activate this visibility option in the latest version. In the current version, I have to open the menu of upgrades, select the toolbar, and then rearrange on the screen to make it visible, and then set the speed.

Clues on how to solve this problem so that I see the toolbar automatically everytime I open the program? Thank you.

    Hi usp.

I'm afraid to say that you shouldn't find this option open by default as it was in previous versions of Windows Media Player. And there is no work around to get its default opening because it's by the architecture of the software.

However there is an improvement in the same, instead of the default toolbar that we had previously we an arrow below the now playing tab where you can navigate in the development option.
    Here's how:
    1. start the playback of a file.
    2. click on the arrow on the tab playing, point to enhancements, and then click play speed settings.
    3. move the speed slider play on the speed at which you want to read the content, or click the slow, Normal or fast.
    4. to select speeds between the speeds of game marked, in the enhancements pane, clear the cursor Snap box common speeds.
    5. to hide the settings, click Close in the enhancements pane.

For more information you can check the items below:
