wheel?

During the scrolling of a web page with mouse wheel, a small circle with up-down arrows immediately beneath the pointer on the web page. This circle is added to easily scroll on the page.
However, I can not find this easy circle for the scroll and began to hate it. I even uninstalled Firefox and installed Google Chrome. But this circle is also displayed in Chrome.
Lately, it has penetrated into excel sheet also makes it more difficult to move around in excel sheet. SO I have installed Firefox againg, but the circle is still there.
PL. help eliminate this circle of Firefox and do my web browsing easy.

Are you aware that most scroll wheel mouse (meese, mouse?) now-a-days have a click Middle on the scroll wheel function? In Windows XP default mouse properties have absolutely no mention of this feature. On the button tab, the picture does not show even a scroll wheel, and the wheel tab there is a setting for "guts" roll Pref. However, pushing them down on the mouse wheel is "middle-click' with the drivers Microsoft P/S2 Port mouse (Intelli-point) that come with WinXP.

It seems that the mouse can wear out, perhaps a weak spring to action to 'click' on the scroll wheel allows a middle-click when you do not expect to do a middle click. My advice is to substitute a different mouse and see if the problem goes away.

After you download El Capitan, the wheel continues to turn and do not have access to the computer.  What should I do?  He turned for 3 hours.

    Hi artfromfl,

Thank you for upgrading your Mac to OS X El Capitan! If the download seems to be blocked for a few hours, try to force the Mac to shutdown by holding down the power button until it stops. You can then try to leave it to the top in safe mode. Also, please check your internet connection, if you can connect the Mac directly to your router via an ethernet cable, it would speed up the download process.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

If the download does not progress in safe mode, you can delete the El Capitan installer in your downloads folder in the Finder application, and then try to download os Sierra instead.  macOS Sierra

This should put Mac to update without delay at all. Please use the Apple Support communities to post your question. Good day.

  • Logitech m100 mouse wheel not working not

I have a Logitech USB m100 mouse (rudimentary, two buttons and scroll wheel) hooked up to my iMac 12.2 which has worked flawlessly with the latest systems (10, 6 - 10.11). After the transition to macOS Sierra, the scroll wheel now seems to have a threshold speed during which you must roll it before it works. If you move slowly on scroll wheel, for example, a web page to scroll to the bottom of the page, it never scrolls. This does not happen with my Apple wireless mouse.

I encounter the same problem on my MacBook Pro retina mid-2012.

In addition, the scroll wheel is completely unusable when you use the calendar app.

  • iOS 10 wheel black screen

Been using iOS 10.0.1 for about a week on an iPhone 6 and it is buggy. The questions below are only occurred since the upgrade to iOS 10. Please fix in the next version or offer a solution.

1 random black screen with the spinning wheel. The upgrade went very well, so not this black screen. But at least every day my phone stopped responding and displays a black screen with the spinning wheel. After 5 to 10 seconds, I invited me to enter my password as if the phone has rebooted. I'm not the only person knows - and even managed to capture the image below.

2 - I activated the option 'open finger rest' in respect of the accessibility of the home screen, but this does not always work. Once again, about once a day, to rest my finger to open the results in me being invited to press the home button to unlock. Whenever this happened I checked and confirmed that 'rest finger to open' has been enabled.

    Thank you

I have the same problem.  3 co-workers have the same problem.  I opened a discussion with the Apple support, however, they said it was just my phone and that I should backup my phone and do a factory restore.  This is pretty extreme, especially considering that 100% of my immediate peers with iPhone devices 6 face the same frustration.

  • Why the wheel of favorites to friends has been removed in ios3 in update? How to send a message unless someone has already sent me a message?

So, I was excited by the new OS3 for Apple Watch update and I have now downloaded and installed. Only to find one of the features I've used a lot seems to have disappeared forever. The wheel of 12 favorite contacts friends went completel, the problem is that I used this a lot to launch messages quickly when I'm stuck in a meeting.

Workaround for this problem seems to be to open messages and find a message from the person you want to contact, but what happens if they don't have not sent you a message? How would be feasible send their text or digital touch? The only application of contacts part of the phone app and it only allows me to call.

Maybe that is not something that many people used but I did and I'm upset his party. There is no need to be attached to a button, but you could keep it as an application that I could add to my dock. Now I feel I lost the update functionality to the last update.

  • iMac, boots on the desk and then immediately crashes on the color wheel

Thanks for taking a peek at my question.

When I boot my iMac, everything starts up fine in the beginning - he's going right on the desktop, the mouse moves around and, if I'm quick, I can even click on 1 maybe 2 things until the computer completely locks the spinning wheel of death color.  I can still move the wheel on the screen with no latency, but I can't do anything in fact.  Typing on the keyboard does nothing, although the caps lock key will light up.  Boot in safe mode produces exactly the same results, except that it asks me to log in first.

Something must be start I need to get rid of, although I not much to install on this computer and rarely changes (it is a demo machine that lives in a small computer lab that I managed, off-grid). I never had any problems with it, then one day, this problem started.  Maybe I ran an update of the OS and that caused his crash?

I am very familiar with troubleshooting a Windows computer, but Mac does not really offer many intuitive troubleshooting options, IMO.  This seems to be a fairly simple matter to reslolve, but my research online have not produced results - people seem to suggest the safe mode and command line solutions, but safe mode doesn't change anything and I can obviously not open a command line to type anything.

The iMac was bought to 2010 and I'm 99% sure there Yosemite installed, but unfortunately I have no way to be able to check at the moment.

    Any help welcome, thanks!

Start of recovery volume (command - R on a restart, or hold down the option/Alt during a restart and select the Volume of recovery). Run the check/repair disk utility and repair permissions until you get no error. Then re-install the operating system.

On the bottom bar when I press the Bluetooth Button, he said that, but when you go to set the Dungeon of the wheel spinning. The weather is bad, is so slow that after 1 hour, the clock rest 30 minutes behind. I have contacted Apple but they say that I need and an appointment with a technician, but I don't want to spend too much money on my phone because I think they are just too much money. • everyone sees the spinng wheel when they turn their phone off I'm not on my own

iPhone screen 6 had repaired. When you switch the phone off normally see you a spinning wheel before he died, but on mine I have not extinguished. This could be due to a new update or be fixed

Don't worry about this. It is not necessary to see the small wheel before the iPhone turns off completely.

  • Time machine / Spinning wheel

    Hello

Start of Time Machine backup, my computer keeps freezing and I see a spinning wheel. All applications become slow or unresponsive. After a few hours, the backup appears to complete successfully. When a backup is running, the computer behaves normally. I was not able to understand what the problem is.

    OSX: El Capitan 10.11.6 (15G 31)

MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, beginning 2013)

Data on hard drive size ~ 220 GB

Location of the backup: time capsule; connected via a wireless connection; backup data size ~ 380 GB; available on time capsule size ~ 1.6 to.

Internal drive: APPLE SSD SM256E Media, 251 GB SATA

I checked the integrity of the file system to my computer and the time capsule (using first aid in disk utility). No problem was found. Encrypted (FileVault) HDD and backup.

Make a test of the actual read and write speed of SSD... for example, blackmagic, drive test software. It is extremely fast.

Open the activity monitor and check the load on the processor and memory free... Although this activity to El Capo monitor actually shows, is somewhat a mystery.

Check the log of the error messages... Although I doubt that something bad will appear.

Upgrade installed you El Capo on Yosemite etc.?

Have you done a memory NVRAM and SMC reset? It is worth a go if you haven't.

  • Wheel rotation, even with the new SSD

    Hi all

I have a mid-2012 Macbook Pro unibody (2.9 Ghz, Intel Core i7, 8 GB of DDR3, Intel HD 4000 1536 MB graphics card memory) running OSX El Capitan 10.11.6. Stock HARD drive used to run very slowly with the wheel that turns all the time, replace with a Sandisk 240 GB SSD drive recently. It's still at the spinning wheel, colorful, even with the finder. I have still 220 GB unused space.

Please help me identify the problem to solve this issue. I thank in advance for the support.

Download this and run a report, post it here when it is complete.

  • Circle/wheel of death when connecting to wifi

Bizzare.  Wifi connection (UK Plusnet) results in circle/wheel of death.  Disc and cleaned and reinstalled Snow Leopard.  The same problem.  * but works in a different House (UK BT) *.

    Is it planned obsolescence?

Make sure that IPv6 is set to "Link-local only" or off.

  • Firefox on Fedora 22 in VirtualBox 5.0 running on Win7 does not properly scroll wheel. What configuration must be modified/checked?

Recently updated Fedora from 21 to 22 using the utility fedup.

It worked perfectly fine in Fedora 21.

Scrolling with the wheel mouse works perfectly in the terminal and other browsers and LibreOffice. This isn't a question of operating system Linux.

When you use the wheel to scroll, the page will bounce up and down and never really scroll the target - it will scroll 3 lines, then bounce back to the original position, or in the wrong direction. In this case while scrolling upwards or downwards.

    Hi ShadowAce,
I don't have this environment to test this, but I can infer that you might be able to disable scrolling acceleration: Firefox menu > Advanced uner navigation or about: preferences in a new url #advanced.
Uncheck the box for accelerated scrolling.

I also found others who have noticed this problem:

This additional information is useful for finding a work around? If it's a bug of Firefox is maybe what version of linux use for scrolling. Mozilla only keeps the part of linux, but it might not hurt to fill out a bug report in bugzilla.mozilla.org.
