  I'm a very, very heavy user of Firefox that uses your web browser for my work as a blogger of hockey.

  I had major problems with Firefox crashing last month. I'm running AdBlock Plus, NoScript, FlashBlock, toolbar picture, Manager Session, Tabmix Plus and Cookie controller, and I have never had any problems with my front extensions (plug-ins that I use are minimal; (Java, Flash, VLC, Silverlight, Quicktime, Adobe Acrobat)...

  But the new generation crashed very regularly when I trying to refresh my tabs, when I'm scrolling through Web image-heavy sites (the background will Flash to 'gray' and it will soon crash) or when I have an excessive amount of open tabs.

  I tried to delete that many plug-ins (including some automatic translators as I'm on several languages to cover the news of hockey) as possible, I tried to disable each plugin, I turned off the sync, I looked for online assistance and I have not found answers to my problems.

  I prefer not to migrate to Chrome or especially IE, because 60 to 80 hours a week, I found that Firefox is the best available tool with which I can accomplish the tasks necessary to do my job, but he became very glitch-y and accidents are frustrating, because I often lose the information added to my blog and pieces of time trying to catch me.

  I'm starting to wonder if having TabMix Plus and a Session Manager are responsible for the problems, but even if I am a heavy computer user, I have no expert browser, I can use all possible assistance in addressing this issue.

  Not sure if this helps, but you can try (you may already have) turn off hardware acceleration?

  Perform the following steps:

  • Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
  • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
  • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
  • Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

  In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:

  Individual accounts are for a single user, and are associated with an AdobeID. You can, however, installation and connection of two computers on creative cloud but can only use one at a time. If you want to provide for 4 users, you could buy 4 individual memberships or consider creative cloud for teams. Please see the information below:

• 5.1.7 server on El Capitan: create a user with a personalized folder location

  I've recently upgraded to El Capitan on my server once an apple advisor told me that 5.1.7 server had a bunch of bug fixes for Open Directory(which I plan on using down the road). Given that the Working Group Manager is not compatible with 10.11...

  Is there a way to create a user with a personalized folder location? When I create a user on the server, I can choose to create a home folder, with or without limitation in the disc or make the service of the user only. My problem is that I have no way (that I know) in the window of creating user to change the location of this folder.

  I tried to create a model of a user with a basic 'tailor-made' folder location (Volume/promised Pegasus/Home 2016 / etc...) but when I create the user, the home folder is not in the specified path.

  The "work around" I found for this batch of user is to create in the default location then move them on my raid Promise Pegasus, change the path to the advanced option to the each user and reassign the appropriate permissions.

  It is not so much a problem if I would deal with users 10. But I have to manage/create about 130-150 users every 5-6 months.

  I guess that there is an easier way to create a user with a custom home folder location. It would make sense that apple removes the Workgroup Manager and does not replace its characteristics.

  Best case scenario is that I do evil and do not hesitate to let me know if this is the case!

  I may be wrong, but it seems that Workgroup Manager version 10.8 works under El Capitan: I can certainly start the application and query users / groups that are there.  I guess maybe it's on the machine as a rest to be updated periodically since days Lion... but it also shows that if you can find a copy, you may be able to run on your machine.

  Some time after the closing of applications and stop, at startup, the system "says" there was an "unexpected", even if stop at the previous stop, 'things' seem close, hault and close.

• Former model Thickpad T42 with XP upgraded to windows 7

  Irecently bought an old IBM Thickpad T42 modl. It came with Windows installed Pro. I thought I could get the free update of Windows 10. But when I try to update it gives me a sorry but your system is not compatible with the upgrade. I can do a little as a novice with humble knowledge get me on the Internet and technology.   Sorry, not good news for you. You have two problems:

  • Only Windows 7 and Windows 8 machines are eligible for the free upgrade to Windows 10.
  • If the upgrade tool reports that your machine is incompatible with Windows 10 then an upgrade initial Windows XP to Windows 7 (which you would have to purchase!) is unlikely to resolve this incompatibility.

  I suspect that you will have to continue with Windows XP, even if this version of Windows is no longer supported by Microsoft and many third-party providers.

• NO sound when recording Audio - problems with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

  I got in trouble for almost a year now with NO sound when recording Audio with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I just found this forum today. It's really weird how recording with windows and other sound recorder works perfectly since 1998 or so until the upgrade to win 7. Now every time I try to record it shows no found recording device or just fails to record any sound. As you'll see below I have activated What U Hear so I can use the system recording features sounds.

  I use the functions of audio recording and pdf reader because I'm legally blind. It is one of the few tools that I could use with ease on all my systems windows for many years.

  A similar question has started happening with nvidia graphics cards. AND... I was led to believe that it was a problem with Sony wanting more strong piracy measures built into windows. Am I correct to assume that this is what is happening with the sound also today or is there a solution to this frustrating problem?

  I run a dxdiag & posted that, according to me, you asked another user on the forum, the same or similar problem.

  Help solve this problem would be greatly appreciated as this has been a problem for quite a while now.

  Windows 7 Professional 32 bit product key will attempt to activate the Windows 7 Professional 64 bit installation. The only condition, in this case, is that the (Professional) edition is the same.

  No need to create the folder anywhere, not extracted from the apex_5.0.zip to the D drive. The actual path would be D:\apex\images.

  The apex_epg_config.sql requires the path where the apex_5.0.zip has been extracted and that will be the D drive.

  On the command line go to the D:\apex and connect to the SYS user with SYSDBA privilege. Then type the following command:

  SQL> @apex_epg_config.sql D:
  

  The apex_epg_config.sql script configures the EPG and load installable images from APEX to XDB.

  The password is provided by the operating system and is designed to protect you from accidentally install software.  You will get this prompt for any installation outside the context of the App Store.

  If you do not need to enter a user name or password when you start your computer, you can probably just leave the password field empty when recognizing this prompt.
