• Delay when opening the screen 'computer '.

  I'm running into a problem with some weird behaviour on a x 64 SP1 Windows 7 Pro system, and I look at the additional troubleshooting suggestions.

  Whenever the 'Computer' screen is open, there's 20 to 30 second delay before the list of drives are displayed. I've isolated the problem to the drives mapped to the main user account on the system (the user has about 12 discs, all map to the same Windows Server 2008 storage server (mapping is via a Batch script which is defined as the start of Active Directory for the user script).)

  Just to be clear - the readers are already present and card successfully, the issue is just that readers list takes a long time to load when the location of 'Computer' is opened or searched.

  Other systems in the same places I've tried with the same drive mappings do not have the same question.

  File operations on the server where the drives mapped are comparable between this system and others in the office.

  I tried with a different user account; I have the question (when I even card readers).

  I tried booting safe with networking (otherwise readers card), and still have the same question.

  I completely uninstalled ESET antivirus on the system (and reinstalled after checking that this has not resolved the issue).

  I perform analyses to malware on the system and not found anything.

  I ran SFC/scannow (found nothing) and also apply the latest tool CheckSUR from October, no difference.

  I have disabled and the SMBv2 re-enabled on the client, no difference.

  I tried the KB2775511 app (and other regressions KBs later), no difference.

  I tried running ProcMon and assessment of results, but I do not see anything standing (without individual duration is more than 3 seconds and nothing else stand)

  I forced the Windows search database to reindex and disabled offline files, don't seem to have made a difference.

  Any ideas for additional troubleshooting or other help is appreciated!

  Comparing the screens on the Apple Store, I noticed every 12.9 "Pros on display screens faded compared to the new 9.7" iPad 2 Air and my own iPhone Pros 6 Plus. I made your real was turned off and all the display settings are equal. I compared using the calendar application, because the difference was most obvious with a white background. Apple staff was unable to explain the difference in brightness, which has been seen on the new 9.7 "Pro, the IPad look older and my own phone.   I want to check on a different Apple Store but have not had the chance to get a still. The Pro of 12.9 "had a problem of yellowing after launch, but I don't think it's the same problem. I couldn't find any other mention of this problem online.

  I took some photos while I was there. The Pro of 12.9 "has my thinking about it, but you can still see the faded screen. I couldn't get the Air iPad there because it was on another table.   The last thing I did on my laptop did was move the cursor when, suddenly, the screen image went from landscape (which is the normal display) to A4 (i.e. through 90 degrees).  I must add that due to a health problem I lost some feeling in my hands a fingers which does not help when I press the button and move the slider. Therefore, it is more likely that I inadvertently changed the orientation of the screen somehow.

  I shut down the computer, waited a few minutes and started again.  The orientation of the wrong screen reappears.

  You can try adding a NullField after your Manager - a NullField is active, if it does not size.

  Other than that, you can try the substitution of navigationMovement and Manager.setVerticalScroll to go up and down the window scrolling.  I think it should work, although I never did.  You can control the scope of the first Manager to ensure that you do not have to scroll through to the end.

• Detect when the field gets the visibility on the screen

  I extended a BitmapField that when it is displayed on the screen is running a Thread internally in order to upload an image from a web server and then display it on the BitmapField. During the download of the Thread, it shows a dummy Bitmap.

  I am now the list 15 images on a screen in a VerticalFieldManager, and as soon as the application starts, 15 thread starts to download each image.

  When I run the application on the Simulator, with WiFi, all the images always get downloaded without problem all the time but when I run it on the device, sometimes the images are downloaded and sometimes some of them are not downloaded due to a "General socket error" (it is said the message of the Exception).

  This behavior is kind of random, I wonder that it is a restriction on the number of requests that a device can perform the carrier (by BIS) at the same time or something like that. Sometimes 15 images are always downloaded without problem.

  Now, the important thing, to circumvent the problem, what I'm trying to do is:

  Even if I add 15 images on the screen, only 3 images are visible at the same time (on the Curve 8520 in which I am testing now) so I'll try to find a way that only these 3 images run the download thread and when the user makes a scrolling to the bottom of the screen, the fields earning "visibility" on the screen start to run in their own thread too but didn't find a way to detect if a field of on the screen, and not only in the manager gains visibility of

  This might not work on all devices, but the first invocation of painting of the field is a good indicator.

  In my experience, the interface user of BlackBerry is very economical - everything that is not on the screen isn't painted. well, something that used to be on the screen and got a scroll being on could still be there in an internal buffer, so his painting could not called at all when it scrolls- but the first seems to be a pretty reliable indication.

  I hope someone can help me with a problem I see with a screen that contains a VerticalScreenManager that contains a number of custom HorizontalFieldManagers, which each contain a LabelField and an EditField.

  Note: I use a HorizontalFieldManager customer so that I can use sublayout to field possible as I need.

  The purpose of the screen is to allow the user to scroll through the fields and on the focus on the areas of editing.

  However, as the user rolls and fields in bulk and get focus, 'development emphasizing' is not 'cleaned' of previous field and so he is spoiling: several fields have the "update highlighting.

  I saw several other similar topics in the forum but nothing quite the same thing.

  It seems that the problem was the VerticalFieldManager had not the color of the sae background as areas that are part of it and so when the focus and unfocus painted the background color VerticalFieldManager was painted, I don't know why this has been, and if it's a bug in the OS 5.0, but when I set the background color in the VerticalFieldManager I don't see the problem.
