When Firefox starts sync?
I would like to know when FF introduces sync. After initial start-up, to stop, sometimes in between.
I use Noscript and have he undertook: config to propagate its parameters through synchronization. Yet repeatedly, to go to another machine, I find that my lists white and black lists have not been transferred. Except that it seems that some have and some havn't. I don't see a pattern.
In addition, it is (in the Linux version of FF) in the Tools menu the option "Synchronize now". Is this work? There is no visual feedback. I have used it several times to force an update of the parameters of Noscript, but given my question above, I can't tell if the menu option works.
(Firefox on Linux Mint 25.0)
Sad news, it's always a problem with Noscript, since 2011. Here's a thread of this forum:
http://forums.InformAction.com/viewtopic.php?f=7 & t = 6056 & start = 60
Best solution is still to turn off Noscript sync

Hello, I have the boot option: "show my windows and tabs from last time" activated. Works fine, except when Firefox starts when I click on a link in an external application (typically Thunderbird). Then, the new link is opened in a new tab, Firefox remembers the number of tabs I had open when I finally closed it, but all of the 'old' tabs are empty. Somehow fix this behavior?
Deactivation of the modules does not help. By clicking on a link in an external application when Firefox is already open works OK. I use Firefox for some time short (probably half a year) and this problem was still there (not that is not due to a new update).
Thank you.
If Firefox is closed, and an external link opens Firefox, you must go to history > recently closed tabs and open tabs before closing Firefox. If you don't 'last session' will be gone and only one page than the open external program will be the new "previous session."
If this is not satisfactory, you will need to install an extension of type "session manager" as well as "the last sitting" remember only.

Even thought is selected the option ' when Firefox starts to show my windows and tabs from last time "I always have the default page of Firefox.
Hi Goldie_,
I guess you don't watch this page when you closed Firefox last time. Also that you are not in private, correct navigation mode? Looks like it is maybe a problem with Firefox being able to save your file pref.js. You should try the steps listed in the preferences section that won't save trouble. Try and let me know how it goes.
Hope this helps!

Something I have observed since at least for now it is as if I have more than one pinned tab, and I close Firefox and start it again (it's designed to open my default home page), my "targeted" default tab is the tab to the right. If I have a pinned tab, the homepage is door as it should.
I tried from Firefox with a - safe-mode and got the same result, from a new profile however did not seem to see the problem, so my problem is limited to this profile (but at the same time, has nothing to do with my extensions).
I remember not to make any changes to the browser by myself (I'm careful about this, so I'm sure that on this topic). Whatever the problem is, it has crept in also.
I tried to reset slightly changed to the topic: entries in config I have, but have had no solution and it's a minor annoyance, but it leads me into the wall because if I have a home page, I expect to be open when I start the browser!
Problem seems to have been set on update to Firefox 16 beta 2.

Whats New cover loading when firefox start page
the http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/10.0.2/whatsnew/ page keeps opening when I start Firefox. It maintains also the same question to help improve the Mozilla - even if I answered the question several times. I'm sick of seeing this same screen, when all I want to do is see my normal home page before making a few navigation. Please help me get rid of this screen.

When starting FF program (shows not responding is not in the title) stall for 10 seconds, then continues.
Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.
(If you use it, switch to the default theme).
- Under Windows, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
- On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
- Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
- Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.
Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.
When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. It might help others who have the same problem.
Thank you.

for a few weeks or so, whenever I connect to firefox, my home page does not open, and my address bar remains empty. in fact the only time where something appears in my address bar is when I manually type it in., I have also the status of loading Web sites does not appear on the bottom bar.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the Add-ons is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.
See:
- Troubleshoot extensions, themes, and issues of hardware acceleration to resolve common problems of Firefox
- Solve problems with plugins like Flash or Java to solve the common problems of Firefox
If this does not work in mode without failure, then disable all extensions and then try to find out who is the cause by allowing both the problem reappears.
- Choose "Disable all add-ons" on issues to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode to set window to disable all extensions.
- Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')

When opening Firefox 28 tabs in my last session are restored. I put (see my homepage) on the General Settings page, this is a recent problem. I disabled all the (Add ons). Ideas for me.
One of the possible reasons are if Firefox is of the opinion that it crashed during the last closure. He will try to return to your previous session after a crash. (This can be changed if necessary by using the hidden settings).
Another possible reason is a file user.js which contains a preference to return to your previous session once, the substitution of your normal setting. This article describes how to check for this possibility: How to fix preferences that will not save.
Could you check this and a report on the question to know if you find something?
Note: If you find a file named user but not user.js, Windows can hide the extensions of file on your part. To work with files as accurately as possible, I suggest their display. This Microsoft support article has the steps: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/865219.

Plugin page keeps being open when Firefox starts
I installed a Firefox plugin and the associated plugin page continues to open in a new tab, whenever I start Firefox. How can I stop this from happening?
This also happens if I go to the window modules and disable/re-enable the plugin, a new tab opens with the page of the plugin.
The latest version of the HelloSign plugin has no more of this problem.

Something was clicked inadvertently, but don't know what or how as Firefox worked fine a couple of days. Version 3.6.3. Help pleasePositions and sizes of windows are stored in localstore.rdf in the profile folder.
Localstore.RDF to remove or rename the localstore.rdf.sav file in the profile folder to test whether the file is corrupted.
See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Corrupt_localstore.rdf
(attention: do not delete the localstore.rdf file in the Firefox program installation folder)Note:
Delete the localstore.rdf file will reset the default toolbar customizations.
You can rename "localstore.rdf' to 'localstore.rdf.sav' to test whether what it solves.
Then, you can restore the customization by copying "localstore.rdf.sav" to "localstore.rdf" if she did not. -

In the last few days, I noticed a change in behavior of my browser. I don't mind not that he remembers where I've been since the history feature is useful when you are looking for past articles. However, what is happening now is that when I start Firefox after closing, it automatically loads all the tabs I had open before (Eve). It's really annoying.
This is an option you my turn on and outside. Set it instead of open with one or more tabs like home pages of your choice.

Is it possible to have the new tab page is displayed by default when you start Firefox?
Firefox may be set to view the new tab page when the browser is started? In Options > general, the only choices under "Startup of Firefox" is the home page, a blank tab or restore previous session.
Alternatively, the new tab page is adjustable as home page?
The value 'When Firefox starts' to 'Show my home page' and 'Home Page' "subject: newtab".
