You can reset the preferences to warn on the topic: config page via the context menu.
browser.tabs.warnOnClose, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/About%3Aconfig_entries
browser.warnOnQuit, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnQuit
browser.warnOnRestart, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnRestart
To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the Enter key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.

Previously, Mozilla Firefox would sign for me automatically when I closed Firefox. For example, if I was connected to Yahoo, he would sign for me when I closed Firefox.
After the last update, this feature has disappeared.
I would like to take back. How?
If you reopen sites automatically on next start then Firefox stores cookies which are used in these tabs in the file sessionstore.js as part of session data, if you download disconnected if you close Firefox without close tabs first.
You can set the browser.sessionstore.privacy_level pref 2 (never) or 1 (not HTTPS) on the topic: config page to disable the registration of cookies via session restore.
The browser.sessionstore.privacy_level_deferred pref is used when you do not reopen last session automatically via "show my windows and tabs from last time" and use the same values.

Hello colleagues-Firefox users.
I followed the Commission indicated in the Support article on the slow, crash, etc. by restoring Firefox to its default settings. But the problems go away. The remains of the slow browser and still gives me error messages on a non-compliant script or plugin and crashes. To make matters worse I don't see the menu on the top tool bar items, I was so used to using, such as file, editing, display, etc.. I very often used the display menu to zoom on texts that are too small for me to read. Now I can not do. I tried to drag icons in the menu on the upper right of the page on the top tool bar above the address bar, but it is not the same thing as what I used to use before, and there is no File, Edit, View, tools in the menu icons. So now I see my g-mail Inbox in tiny little characters. I tried to use the Magnifier suggested in the troubleshooting of support page, but it's too heavy so I gave up.
Would someone kindly please help me with these questions? Thank you much in advance.
Kind regards
Tom Graciano (globmart)If the zoom is your problem so just try to use the keyboard.
Hold down the control (Ctrl) key + "+" to zoom in any window.
Otherwise if the crash occurs suddenly so just try to uninstall and reinstall Firefox with the update. You brought a lot of changes manually, it might create problem. So reinstall once and check whether it is at your service. -
I tried to uninstall firefox and then put it back. It did not help.
The only thing I can think that I could have done is... I use a program to find and remove unnecessary files and eventually I put away a necessary file? But I've used it in the past several times, and firefox has not been affected.
I'm on Windows XP.Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.

When I close FireFox the story line fades to restart firefox. What is?
Since the upgrade to 7.0.1 history on the url line does not keep the URL history for the next session. I even down loaded and reinstalled this version to see if it would work. Nothing helps. It is a pain by typing in URLS often used.
Thanks for any information.Make sure that you do not have to erase recent history to clear the browsing history when you close Firefox.
Make sure that you are not Firefox running in permanent private browsing mode.
One possible cause is a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.

This has just begun. When I close firefox it tells me that I am closing multiple tabs. and will not let me save them. the only option is to cancel or OK. When I say OK and restart Firefox all my tabs go :-( This happens every time now. I know how to recover my old tabs but whenever I close Firefox it always warns me that I'm closing multiple tabs.
Tanks for help getting Firefox working properly again
JimDo not use 'Clear history of Firefox closing' to clear the 'browsing history '.
- Tools > Options > Privacy: history: [X] clear history of Firefox closing > settings
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/clear+recent+history
Using the "Show my windows and tabs from last time" is a more reliable way to restore the session data.
- Tools > Options > general > startup: "When Firefox starts": "show my windows and tabs from last time '.

I looked in the 'Options' and I can't find a way to toggle this switch. I hope that this feature has not disappeared, because I use it all the time.
Versions of Firefox 4 + automatically record your session when you close Firefox. To restore your previous session click on the link of the Previous Session restoration on the subject: Home Home page or in the history menu.

my plugin update checker has been working well, so I know this isn't the problem. the problem is that when I update my flash player id stops at 95% or 96% and will remain like that until I close firefox and when I close firefox it then finishes update, but then what fierfox reopens it says he has again updated. I've never had this problem before so why now?
Here is a screenshot and see the screenshot just copy and past this link http://i.imgur.com/MafjKdn.png
Hello courtney-jane16, the result of the plugin check page unforunatley is correct, there was yet another vulnerability discovered in adobe flash player 16.0.0.296 who is already exploited in the wild.
See the Security Advisory: https://helpx.adobe.com/security/products/flash-player/apsa15-02.htmlThere is no difficulty because it published by adobe again and the button to update the plugin check site lead nowhere at the moment - so it's best to put the flash shockwave ask to activate plugin in firefox addons > plugins Panel!

When I close Firefox, windows that were open when I closed Firefox are still open, when I click on a link to open a new window. I cleared my history and cookies and even uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but that did not work. I had this problem since upgrading to version 29. This isn't the only problem I have had with version 29. Anyone else had problems with version 29?
I ended up going in the settings to erase history and define it for clear history when Firefox closes and you select to erase history and kitchen and browsing history, the closing of Firefox. Now the links work very well and the last page I was watching until I closed Firefox is gone when it opens again. Problem solved!

I just got a new computer and try to install Firefox as my browser. I can't find anything about how to keep multiple tabs when close Firefox, and then come back later. They are all gone, and I have to start over. The only discovery of FAQ Ican ask how to REMOVE several tabs... I want the opposite. Help, please... I don't want to go to Internet Explorer.
Thank you.
Amy Klokner
Hi Amy, one or two things immediately come to mind.
First of all, you have Firefox start with your windows and tabs from your previous session value? This article described in dialog boxes can be set only: to restore previous session - configure when Firefox shows your most recent tabs, windows and. (Go to "Configuration session restore")
Note: even if you start on your home page, you should be able to use the restore previous Session in the menu background.
Second, how do you close Firefox? The best way - from the perspective of pick-up where you left off - is to use the exit on the menu (File menu in the classic menu bar, or the compact menu displayed by Firefox orange button). If you close windows individually using the Red Cross, or if you right-click on the taskbar icon and select close all windows, and then when you start, Firefox can display the last window or the last tab that was closed.
To view your troubleshooting information, if that is not displayed in the menu help, you can type or paste Subject: support in the address bar and press ENTER.
Firefox session restore feature is a bit fragile: sometimes updating software will launch a new Firefox window session and if you shut up without restoring your session, poof, your windows and tabs have disappeared. If you rely on session restore, consider using Session Manager extension to allow you to return to its previous sessions: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/session-manager/

A cmd / batch file windows appears when I close firefox for a few secconds, why?
When I close firefox pops up a CMD window and then disappears and firefox closes.
What happened just after Norton deleted a file because it thinking it was bad (when parsing of his own volition)
The file that opens the window is located here:
C:\Users\Robert\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\jkqm25xu.default
I think this is perhaps one of the sessionstore javascript files.Hello, you can try to reproduce this behavior when you start firefox in safe mode, once? If not, perhaps an add-on is the cause...

I had recently an update (or upgrade?) for 16 FF. Today (and I believe that the update has been done a day or two before?) my cache, cookies and history are not compensation when I close FF. In addition, some links may not work. No links to full web pages but for pop ups of site (as the engine of Smillie on a bulletin board). They worked a few days but do work not today. I click on the link and nothing happens. I noticed the problem with the cookies not compensation for a few weeks ago, but it was not only on a single site all sites which is what is happening now.
My apologies if this is a little confusing. Thank you!
I use fill form for private browsing is a bit complicated. I just put everything out when I close Firefox.
Nevertheless, it seems to have fixed itself and now works for the time being everything is good. I have no idea what happened, but it works.
Thanks for your replies!
