  1. you are trying to boot from the disc or start on the desktop to start the installation?

  If you don't have any concerns of data, you can continue the installation without removing the program.

  If you have any concerns of data, then try to remove the PowerShell and run the install. Also perform a backup of important data before reinstalling Windows Vista.

  It is a common problem in Thunderbird. I think that the original message uses links to fetch messages from an online resource, so they are dynamically read when you view the message.

  Sometimes the only solution seems to be to download the images (right click, save as) and then add them to the message transferred (by hand).

  In some cases, save the message in local folders in Thunderbird is enough to force the remote images to download.

  A quick Google for "osCheck" tells me that this file belongs to Norton Antivirus.

  You can stop from running at startup or, better yet, uninstall Norton and get something much better. I recommend NOD32 (commercial) or Avast 9free).

  Start Orb > Search box > type: msconfig and when it appears in the results area above, right-click and choose 'run as administrator '.

  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue. Find osCheck under the Startup tab, and then clear the check box. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Usually in Vista it will be blocked by Windows Defender and you will need to enable it so you can then check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".

  Important - do not use the System Configuration utility to stop the process. Instead, use the Services.

  Start Orb > Search box > type: services and when it appears in the area of results above, made a right click and choose 'run as administrator '. Confirm the elevation necessary.

  Another possibility, is to remove the PROGRAM Thunderbird (NOT your profile data) directory and reinstall from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/ - one of the many ideas you can try at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird: test: Memory_Usage_Problems

  What the page you mean exactly and have you checked if you didn't push the extra buttons accidentally?
