• Copy of layer to another project

  I have a text or a logo with an alpha configuration in a Photoshop file and I need copy it to other photos if the text/logo is on top of the photo. I can't drag the layer to the second photo no problem. But when I go to reposition it only moves in its own little box, so that he ended up cropping himself.

  In other words, I can move the text/logo, but if I nee the original dimensions it cultures. How can I move the entire layer anywhere in the second photo?

  Not sure you mean 'a facility alpha', but it sounds like you have a layer mask on the layer, (what you describe as "his own little box")... and it is not "bound" to the layer.

  IF I not mistaken on the layer mask, look for a small symbol link (String) between the layer and the thumbnails of the mask layer in the layers panel. The behavior you describe is a symptom of the link being in a broken state. Click on this symbol to link to UN-break the link. Now you should be able to move and transform the contents of the layer as you like, and the layer mask will respond with it.

• Translation problem click / highlight boxes when copy and paste slides from another project

  I am baffled by this problem because it doesn't seem wise. I opened a new project to record a simulation, and when I did, I copy and paste all the slides in the section in my "Master project" If you want to. After the dough, I noticed that all of the boxes, clickboxes and highlight, I had taken the time to carefully resize were all out of wack in terms of position. Here are the best, I opened a blank project and copy and paste the same slides... this time the click and highlight boxes were in the correct position. Any ideas?

  Oh, 'in position '... I see...

  The project is bigger than the other? For example, the original perhaps to 800 x 600 and the new to 850 x 650?

  Positioning can then be turned off relatively...

  Take a few elements of the sample and note their x / y positions of the properties panel, in the first draft (under 'Transform' in CP 5.5).

  After pasting in the new, note these same x / y positions.

  Is there a significant factor?

  If this is the problem, make sure that the sizes are the same, make the dough, then expand the project later (and maybe everything will keep its anchors?)

  I have not seen that happen in new versions of CP.

  You can try to check "Keep the Proportions" option in the properties of the original, just in case where this helps to "compel the position" too... guess total...

• Stretching / translating a layer into another document

  I have probably just my math, but given a limit of area of selection (or limits), I'm trying to resize it so that it is the size of a paper target, and then translate it so it is in the upper left corner, taking up the entire screen (so what is in the square selection occupies the entire screen.  Now if I duplicate the layer in the same document and resize it using the dimensions of the document and translate, it fills the entire screen.  However, if double layers in a target, document and scale and translate according to its dimensions, the layer is the right size, but madly out of position (most of the time off the page).  I think that the translation would be independent of the destination doc and based only on the magnitude and (minX, minY) from the selection box.

  Is my math off or y at - it something funny on duplicate a layer in another document?  I guess this is the first, but I continue to do it in my head and the math seems reasonable.

  .. Why would it be different if the layer is duplicated at the topleft of the paper target to 0,0 minX, minY?

  This is the point I was trying to do. This assumption is inaccurate. The duplicated layer is not 0,0 unless the two documents are the same size and resolution. To chip away at layer is centered in the new RFSO. Only when the sizes correspond to the positions will match. Otherwise the new top-left position could be anywhere including canvas (negative values).

  If you do not want to change the minX, minY, for some reason, you could add code to align the layer to the top left before the line translate.

  I can't reproduce this. The layer as you try to duplicate a smart object and there a displacement map? Looks like you might need to reset your preferences.

  If I create the project using business process 'Request for project' and when we opened the project, we can see "Project delivery" and "Cost control" mode records.

  But when I create project directly in the workspace of society (Admin mode) > company sponsored Shell > project, either by directly or copy model or another project.

  We are not able to see above two folders in user mode.

  I had checked to access control, there are access avalible for all project users to the two folder in user mode.

  I am currently using after effects 5... Yes it is version 5, not CS5.

  I'm trying to figure out if I can import a layer group and their applied effects in another project while keeping all the editable attributes and positions of the imported layers with respect to one another.

  I see that I can import an ASP project file into another project through the FILE to be IMPORTED, but just, which brings the raw project window files/layers and don't place no layers in the timeline with all their positions, the effects and the edited attributes, how I had like.

  Also tried to previously compose the layer, but who did not leave their editable once a demo was made... just makes the 7 layers I want to import in to another project all one layer and not let them be changed the way the 7 layers are separately.

  In Adobe Premiere, there is a real ' IMPORT the PROJECT ' selection under IMPORT that allows me to import an entire project in another project and allows me to place the imported project where I want in the new project editing... that's what I try to do in After Effects.

  I realize that there may be a way easy to make it in one of its latest versions of After Effects and the other may say, 'just buy the new AE CS5', but I figured out allot of things on my own so far and I love after effects 5 for what I do now... maybe later on the newer version.

  Just import the source project in the new project.  Open the original composition, select the layers you want and copy.  Then, open the new composition and paste.

  If you want to be really ordered on this subject, you can make a temporary version of the source project that contains only the layers you want to move to the new project.  Import this temp project to the new, then you can delete the temp project.

• How can I remove table of contents/index/search components that remain when I link to another project?

  When I link to my html main project file A and then click a link to return to the main html table component file contents/index/search remains on the screen. How can I remove it?

  I have a file that has links to projects and B main html. Each project is in a separate folder. The projects are not merged.

  I can link the files generated or published very well. However, when I start moving around in the files/projects, the components of the table of contents/index/search are still visible.

  For example, if I click on the link on the main html file for project A it appears correctly. If I click on a link to return to the main html file pane table of contents/index/search remains visible for A project. If the link to go to project B Iclick, I get another part of the table of contents/index/search and have 2 panels visible.

  How can I make windows disappear and do not stay on the screen when I move a project to?

  I'm not sure you can. It's like any link on any Web site, if the link opens another browser instance or tab, it is up to the user to close.

  Merged help would just open the other topic and keep the user in the same tab. When they click on the links to various projects, the first topic closed and the following would open up.

• How copy/duplicate/export a small project to another project?

  There, I created a short, a 2 minute clip that contained the primer SMPTE universal, a made-up logo, some action camera etc. to serve as the beginning of the film.

  It took me some time to create, and what I would do, is 2 minutes import all construction at the beginning of a new project that I'm working on now.

  I want to have all the elements that have been created on the timeline (the primer SMPTE universal, clips with all effects, etc.) in the old project, copied and brought back at the start of another project.

  Can someone point me to the right direction please?

  There are two basic approaches to the use of the contents of a project in another

  1. use the Premiere Elements in conjunction with the ClipMate program for a system copy and paste, insert. Please check out my blog on this

  2. the chronology of the first project of exporting to a format compatible with the project of the second project preset. And then import this file into the second project.   Save the model to a known location with a name like 'Template.psd Magazine'

  Use the EOS utility and set it to save on laptop as well as the memory card.

  Give it a descriptive name and assign a shortcut to (SHIFT-F5 for example)

• Captivate 5 opening of another project - link is incorrect

  I have a Captivate 5 project that uses a "main project" to open various 'under' projects.  I have published all projects such as exe (I also tried editing swf and htm to see if the problem is specific to the .exe but I have this problem with both methods), all projects are accessed using a click box, which, if successful, will open another project.  All my sub projects opens correctly except one.  When you click on this project, it shows an error that displays the path to the .htm file only?  I find it weird because I tried only editing like .exe, is therefore to associate without file .htm (or I do not understand how it works?).  Here's the funny part, the path to the nonexistent .htm file is missing a return back as you can see below.

  

  I tried to recreate the click box, but it does not work.  I copied another box of click of work who open a different project.  The click box works until I have change the project that it points to and then I get the same error.

  Another thing, when I go to link the project from the drop-down list displays several projects with the same name.

  

  even if I have only one instance of the project in my folder by default.  I tried to empty the cache to see if that get rid of duplicates, but it did not work.  I also installed captivate on another computer, copied over my project files, deleted the click box and recreated and received the same error message.  He pointed to the new location on the new computer, but lacked a "------" makes the link not valid.

  I published my computers not assigned as swf and htm project and copied to the location specified in the error, but it does not work.

  Any ideas?  I ran out of things to try.

  Captivate the default behavior is to set up an absolute connection to the target file, not a relative link, which is what you will need to be if ever you want to migrate your content to another location, for example a web server.

  If you can see that the URL is incorrect, change it. You must manually edit the link that Captivate automatically creates for you and it becomes a relative link that points to the target HTM file.

  If you don't know how to build links, do some googling on the subject.  It's something everyone who works with web content needs to know how to do.

  It's the way I work.  Select Auto is a huge PITA most of the time.  Be sure to put it to the group or layer in the options bar.  The default value is group.
