George, Hi -.
First of all. There must be a CD/RW - there is no way to clear any other type of disc. If it is a rewritable disc, you should see the option when you right-click on the optical drive with the disc. -R.

Windows 7 Home Premium new computer question
Hello
I have a question about whether or not I can reuse my Windows 7 Home Premium CD on a new computer.
I checked several questions asked by users, and there are conflicting answers.
I bought the product 4 years ago I think and used on a single PC that has recently had the mother go out. So I decided to buy a new integrated computer, custom, and I need to know if I can reuse my CD with Windows 7.
There was an answer I have been see is that you can reuse the CD with Windows 7 on up to three computers at different times, but I would need to contact Microsoft to renew the activation key. Other responses indicated that only 1 product by PC and some up to three computers at the same time is possible.
I need a clear answer, I am able to use my Windows 7 Home Premium CD on a new computer because my old one died?
Depends on if it is OEM, full retail or upgrade.
If OEM, it lives and dies with the first motherboard installed on.
If it is upgraded, there must be a qualification in retail Vista or XP in order for him to be moved to another PC, even if the qualification does not need to be reinstalled first. New installation with a Version of Windows 7 upgrade
If it's full retail, it can move anywhere you want, as often as you wish. If online activation fails, just use the telephone option and always reply that it is installed on a PC to pass.

When you use Windows Vista Home Premium search, no results wouldn't come
When I opened early and try to get whatever it is, there's nothing at all. Or if I tap a file that I know is indexed I try advanced search, select all and fill in the appropriate information and also check that the fi not indexed box. I then start search and he seeks but nothing can't and never has. When it says try search files that does not work either. I do not understand why the search box never showed a file that I know exists and is indexed, or more importantly why nothing comes up at all? Anyone know what could be the problem? Hope you get this feature to work. I use Vista Home Premium and Explorer 8.
Hello
Method 1:The most likely reason is that you are looking a limited set of locations. Indexed locations, all of the files used by default, includes most of the places common you might want to search for. However, you can extend your search by adding additional locations to the current search in the search folder. Here's how:
a. in the search pane, click Advanced search.
b. click the menu location , then everywhere.
Method 2:
Also if the index looking for files that you know problems must be located in a location indexed; You may have to re-create the index. This can take a long time to complete. To rebuild the index:
a. open indexing and Search Options by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Indexing Options.
b. click Advanced Options, click the index settings tab and then click rebuild. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Refer to the below help links -.http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-problems-with-searching
I hope this helps.

How long should I wait? What should I do if it is not out of this phase?

Installation time can vary depending on factors such as the speed of the processor, memory and your data set (including your personal files, settings and installed applications that must be transferred during the upgrade. Some upgrades may take an average of 2 hours 25 minutes, but there has been cases of up to 20 hours.

Windows 7 Home premium IDE: he mentions a MISTAKE BIO
have a wndows 7 Home premium laptop, it came I'd see a technician on an error of Bio, I have no idea what this means, this s = a whole new computer help? Thanks in advance
Hello;
Let me welcome you on the HP forums!
I read your post about a possible error of the BIOS in your new PC and wanted to help.
Since it is a machine relatively new, instead of hurt for hours to fix yourself, why not just let HP fix it - for free!
You must contact the HP Customer Support directly so they put you in contact with HP Tech Support to see what they can do on the diagnosis and repair of your machine remotely.
I did recently, and HP technology was able to remotely access my PC on the Internet and to make the necessary repairs.
If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1
If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
NOTE: once you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to someone ' one - it can take a while!
Good luck

Today, I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bitNow - my Windows 7 Desktop can access files on my XP laptop - BUT - I was no longer able to access to any shared files and folders on the Windows 7 desktop. I checked that matches the name of working group. And on the XP - when I go to the Add Assistant preferred network and make a Browse. When I select Microsoft Windows network and task force - I see my office listed. But when I try to select - the OK button remains grayed out.I would appreciate your help on this. Thanks for your help - but I just found out the problem. In the advanced sharing settings, I forgot to select Enable turn off password protected sharing. The second I chose no-all the files and folders that I set to share on the Windows 7 system became available.
Thanks for your help, anyway. -
How to fix Chess Titans (game) on the version of Windows 7 Home Premium
Hello
When I play as white (against the computer) on 'Chess Titans' simulated 3D screen shows white on the bottom. When I go to play in the dark (once again, against the computer), however, does not turn the simulated jury. Whatever the color, I select, white is ALWAYS on the bottom. Until a week ago, and over the past years, I had Windows 7 Home Premium, the game Chess Titans turned to show depending on the color, I chose to play as close to me - at the bottom of the screen. Curiously, when I select the graphic quality low (lowest of the 6 parameters) and play in 2D, the Council turns to show the color that I played on the background.
I tried clicking on the radio buttons to 'Rotate Board when playing head to head' and "Spin Board after free view" but power seems to have no effect. Once again, up to a week ago and for a few years, the game Chess Titans turned to show according to the color, I chose to play as close to me - at the bottom of the screen.
Windows seems to have opinions and automatic updates frequently, but never they have affected this game. I'm not a grandmaster or whatever it is and enjoying playing against the computer, but play black all in 'sit', that white is trying to ruin my game. Suggestions, please?
Old goat Steve
Click Start-> Control Panel-> performance information and tools-> Visual affects-> Adjust to improve the appearance. It slows down, and the jury turns itself when you play against the computer as black.

So if I have a Windows7 Home Premium 64 - bit operating system and I use a processor dual core (Intel Dual Core e5300 CPU) are fully compatible or how they work together, given the fact that Windows 7 recognizes that one of the two processors? Playback of the system is expressed in the fact that it has two current processors. Both processors work simultaneously to form a combined data stream is a dormant or they turn on and off opposing to another so that each works half the time? Many scenarios as possible, but I would like to know... the real answer as to what needs to be changed eventually to bring together a system more fluid? My main question is the operating system and the processor may be an incompatibility problem that has not yet been addressed? I can't find any answer in the Center Compatabiity of Windows 7 or anywhere else. Or is the limitation of windows 7 Home Premium and only be able to support an unfounded processor see the fact that there are many systems that are in work today with these components. ?
Hey Randy,
If your system has two separate physical processors (not hearts) and you are running Windows 7 Home Premium, the second processor is completely ignored. It turns on and turn his fans, but it does not all rights for the computer. Windows 7 Home Premium will not take advantage of a single processor.
However, if you have a single physical processor with multiple cores, Windows 7 64-bit will benefit from up to 256 cores. It is very probably the type of machine that you have because it is quite rare to have multiple processors co-location in a workstation computer.
In this scenario, Windows will use two cores for separate tasks. Applications will be evenly distributed between the carrots, unless the application has been written to take advantage of multiple cores. The two hearts are turned on and both are used when the system is running.
You can check if Windows has recognized the two hearts looking Manager of the tasks of your system:
- Open the Task Manager by right-clicking the taskbar, and then click Start Task Manager.
- Click the performance tab.
The top two graphs show how much CPU is used, as well at the moment and for a few minutes. If the CPU usage history graph seems shared, your computer has multiple processors, a single dual-core CPU or both.
Windows 7 system requirements also go in a little more detail on how many windows cores/processors can take in charge:

Hope this helps to answer your question!

Click Start, type: cmd
Click with the right button on CMD, click Run as administrator

Scanner for windows 7 Home premium
Hello
Can someone tell me which scanner I can use for windows 7 Home premium. (the cheaper the better)
My view is very different from the Canadian Tech I prefer separate printers and scanners, and I greatly prefer laser printers inkjet printers. And there are many choices of printers (especially laser printers) that come without built-in scanners. Turn on Amazon.com.
For scanners, I like the line Canon LiDE scanners. I have and like a LiDE60; It is an older model and you may have trouble finding it but LiDE of newer models are available and most are inexpensive.
Everything you buy, remember that the manufacturer has a Windows 7 driver available for him.
