When I save in the pdf file is massive

I have 1 page a4 offline ive created with illustrator. Their are no images, just text that is in 2 colors. When I first saved as a pdf, the file has been almost 300 KB. What kind of file size does it, and how can I make it smaller?

Play with the settings, but not really know im want to do ive got to 80 KB, but that still seems much greater than it should be, or is - not?

Thank you

jdldn,

Try this:

Create a new empty document to Illy and:

(1) save it with PDF compatible file create checked;

(2) save it with PDF compatible file create checked;

3) save in PDF with Illustrator peacekeeping checked editing capabilities;

4) Save as PDF file with Illustrator maculated maintaining editing capabilities.

(1 and 3) gives you the gross size of the packaging of each format, 2) and 4) gives you the gross size of the packaging format HAVE + PDF double anyway.

The differences up to the corresponding files will show you the actual size of the content.

OK, what you need to do is to save the PDF file to your desktop. The PDF that you see with the message, even if it doesn't look like anything other than a mistake. Then open the PDF with Adobe Reader.

Do not save using the Save on the file menu. It does not work. Save the toolbar that appears above him.

  • Cannot resize the PDF file

Hello. I bought a new 6830 yesterday and I have a problem of scaling a PDF file to print. When I got back the PDF file, the image is reduced in the file, but prints in original format. Today, I visited the Adobe site and found a page called Acrobat PDF Help/Basic printing tasks. According to Adobe, when I open the print dialog window, I can change the page to shrink or expand by setting the size I choose in the scale box:

Custom scale  Resizes the page by the percentage you specify.

However, my window of dialogue has no custom scale option. I'm starting to wonder if this printer allows resizing. Any suggestions?  Thank you.

I installed the driver, Officejet Pro 6830 and it allows resizing in Adobe Reader 11.0.10.  I suggest to update to the latest version of Adobe Reader.

Print my pdf files is no longer. After pressing PRINT the 'Print to File' window pops up and I have to press SAVE under to go to the next step. Once the pdf file is saved it is therefore more a pdf but a PRN file. An error message appears when I try to print the PRN file. I need to be able to print my original pdf files. Please notify.

Looks like you somehow accidentally active the option print to file in the Advanced Options print dialogue. Uncheck that and this problem should go away.

    Hi judithl34724699,

If you want to convert Word files to PDF with the Adobe Reader application then it is possible with the service Pack of PDF. Try to use the service on the web: https://cloud.acrobat.com/convertpdf

Also try to use a different file type.

    Thank you

My Photosmart HP 7520 now trys to save the PDF file instead of print it when I try to print it - it printed previously. What should I do to get it to print rather than life-saving?

Clear the PRINT TO FILE option in Acrobat or Adobe Reader. It will be somewhere in the print dialog boxes.

  • When I export a PDF to JPEG, the margins are screwed to the top, but not in the PDF file. Why?

I did a series of layouts landscape 8.5 x 11 in Illustrator, they all had the same instructions in the PDF file, aligning the different elements of text and vector itself. When I saved and print PDF files, they look good and printed as expected.

However, when I go to file-> export... and save another version in JPEG format, they are all out either a little cut on the left margin or right margin. It is not consistent that confuses me, also because they look all uniforms in PDF format. Anyone know what I can do in the document or export the setting to prevent this from happening in Illustrator?

When we realized that what was going on, we just open the PDF files in Acrobat Reader and saved in JPEG format, which takes more time, but is not screw up left or right margins. Any ideas what's happening? Thank you!

You have to draw everything in alignment with pixels in Illustrator. Otherwise, a line may fall between 2 rows of pixels and you get this effect.

But let's be honest, I think that JPG is not the best type of file to export from Illustrator. Why you do this?

If you need to print, use HAVE or PDF/X-4, if you need it for the web or MS Office use PNG, if you need it on MS Office on Windows, use EMF.

JPG has some kind of lossy compression that makes very visible spotty areas with drawings line Illustrator produces, so I would not recommend to export HAVE them in JPG format at all, unless you have a priority of photography and the work of art is not the object of your file.

    Hello

When we try to edit any PDF file that is stored on a MicroSD card, then, first of all, the file must be saved in the internal memory to cause permissions defined by Android for external storage.

Due to limitations set by Google in Android 4.4 and above, it is not possible to change files that are stored on the SD card in system no App.

Preflight check should give you an idea of the problem. It may be that the file must be flattened before attempting the conversion. Not all aspects of a PDF file can be converted to PDF/A.

  • View bookmarks by default when you open the pdf file

    Hello

I made a document with a TOC and bookmerk for the pdf that has worked very well.

I have some pdf documents that when I opened them, the bookmark wall on Acrobat are open by default. In my document, this panle is not visible, I need to click on the bookmark icon, so it shows the Bookmarks panel, and so I can navigate through the document.

Is it possible to configure InDesign so that the pdf file is Acrobat open the default bookmark panel, as these documents I have? It looks to me that it is a very common resource in pdf files, most of the PDFs I opens the bookmark panel when the document is loaded.

    That you for any help!

I think you should do this in Acrobat. Go to file/properties/Initial View / Navigation Tab / Bookmarks panel and Page and save the document.

  • Illustrator saves a blank PDF file with information on the missing content

I use Illustrator CS6 on OS X 10.8. Yesterday, I noticed that my PDFs out as files empty with the text

It is a file Adobe® Illustrator® which have been saved without PDF content.
Instead or open this file in other applications, it should be re-recorded in Adobe Illustrator with the option 'Create PDF Compatible file' lit. This option is in the dialog box Options of Format native Illustrator, which appears when you save an Adobe Illustrator file by using the Save as command.

which is in fact a description that usually appears in the files saved without PDF compatibility. It is not document-wise but rather application-wise question because sometimes, even if I create a new Document, draw something in the middle of the canvas and save it. Also, all of my existing documents which record well before, do so now. Basically, I can't successfully save a single PDF file. But it seems that the exported documents must contain the data because they have different sizes depending on the content.

There is no problem with the backup to format I. I hope this is enough information for someone smart to diagnose this problem because I am starting to be desperate

You have an idea? Thank you.

Oh, my friend just advised me to clear the cache and it worked! :-) I deleted files ~/Library/Caches/com.adobe.Illustrator and ~/Library/Saved ask State/com.adobe.Illustrator.savedState and one of them went around :-)

I created models for a t-shirt design, this top photo, this is how the design looks like in illustrator with the correct Pantone: Blue C 3115, 119C red and black.

When I save it as a PDF and it is opened in the Preview Application, certain colors black like this:

    Screen Shot 2012-06-28 at 11.57.46 AM.png

This has happened several times lately and I recently spent Illy CS5 to CS6, so I wonder if that is why?

Any clues guy? Help is greatly appreciated.

The problem is with preview (and for that matter, to look at a PDF in Mac Mail). The program doesn't have the sophistication to read tones and display them with precision. I noticed this 'problem' before CS6 came, so the update for CS5 is not the problem.

I have now got used to put a little warning in my emails when sending the PDF proofs: "Please see this PDF file in Adobe Acrobat or Reader. Overview of Mac and Mac Mail will not display the spot colors in the PDF file correctly. »

  • Some policies appear in the PDF files after "Print" to PDF, but not after "save under" PDF

FM9, Kozuka fonts and one of my custom symbols fonts show in a file PDF produced with "Print" and a PDF printer, but not when I do "save in" and select "Save as:" PDF. Kozuka characters out as boxes, and custom symbols are absent; Although if I highlight the place to be in the PDF, the font name shows. I use Acrobat 7 Pro.

I tried to change the Asian fonts in the police combined with the "Pr6N" Kozuka provided with FM9 versions, but that did not work.

I also tried to copy the fonts to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\FrameMaker9\fminit\fonts\adobe" and various other places, and of course, they are in the folder Fonts of Windows, nothing helps. My other custom symbols fonts work very well, and they are only in the Fonts to Windows folder.

These fonts worked well in FM8. Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Tami

    Hello Tami,

try saving the PDF file once again, but this time - in the dialog box options PDF - select the check box 'convert CMYK to RGB colours. Fonts now appear correctly? If so, it's just another bug of the famous engine FM CMYK. When you convert the colors to RGB, you get the same result as when printing to PDF.

  • [locked] Allows you to save the PDF file

I noticed that using the form of Distribution via e-mail, Acrobat.com or a shared folder on the network, the user can save the PDF file, correct? I understand that correctly? Another thing, what happens if I don't want to send an email to but want to just the PDF form available on my site, the user will still be able to save a copy of the completed form for themselves, to print or to do what they want?

    aljCharlie wrote:

I want to put my form on my site, and when the user fills out the form they can save at least a completed form for later printing or by e-mail, but with only the player. Is this possible?

Yes. Go to Advanced Options > enable Adobe Reader usage rights. Activate the file, re-register and then publish your site.
