    Hi Harry,.

Looks like you have some program registry installed and programmed to run at startup, which does not work.  I suggest we identify and remove the boot and then remove it totally from the system (uninstall).  Registry modification programs are generally risky, rarely do much good, can cause great harm and are not really necessary as Windows does a good job of managing the registry on its own.

Try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once don't forget to reset your operating system to normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

Start in safe mode with network and see if the problem is here.  A result allows us to narrow down the search for the cause.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

Yes, that's why. Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG, Norton, and
McAfee all turn them off Defender. It's good, not bad. Not only is at - it
potential conflict, but there is no reason to have both. they are all
basically have something very similar to the built-in Defender.
and both running at once will be your performance level and create the
risk of problems that are contrary to each other.

It is not correct that you can't remove it without defender. Use
MSCONFIG, which is part of Windows.

  • Computer is humming, fan turns on and the screen is blank when I start computer

This problem happens every 90 days. When I took the computer to the repair shop, he had no problem with him right there.  If the computer remains stationary, the problem persists, but once it is moved in a certain way, it will start normally. Specifically, I spilled on the computer and the problem stopped.  I have a hard time to explain a problem to the repair shop when it no longer exists at the time wherever I have it get there. Is there a more permanent solution that mess up the computer?

When I tried to turn on my computer, I get a buzzing sound, then the fan came and the screen remained blank.  I tried to restart after an hour, but it's the same, what's the problem? >

    Hello DempseyBullock,

Sorry, you experience this problem.  The first thing I would say is contact the manufacturer of your computer.  Also, I suggest to go to the manufacturer's Web site to confirm that there is no news updates for the drivers, firmware, or BIOS updates.

    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

    Hello

Here is the complete troubleshooting tool. Make sure to run the system restart, then SFC/scannow tool
and chkdsk /f /r (CheckDisk) from the command to a startup disk.

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel
-Double click - Driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - device Manager - map - graph
then right click on the device and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
is CTRL + ALT + DEL and the processes tab find EXPLORER.exe and END PROCESS on it.
then on the tab Applications - lower right - new task - the type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is
accessible by tapping F8 as you start several times.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all hotfix is usually a hit or miss

  • Reinstall Windows Security Essentials

My kids accidentally deleted a defender of my Vista operating system. When I tried to install Defender on the download site, I was told that it was not necessary, as the Defender is provided as an integral part of Vista. What should I do?

    Original title: install Defender

Thank you; I installed MSE. I want to advocate, 1). because come as an integral part of Vista Edition family basic and 2) for functions in addition to the anti-malware scanning. Now, people have been telling me, '... ". You cannot remove Defender", but it has been deleted. I tried to download it several times without success, and I can quite understand the problem...

1 MSE has his own defender who does the SAME work as Windows Defender. To have two advocates running is not only redundant, it creates conflicts between two defenders. Therefore, MSE will be and stopped at your Windows Defender. DON 'sentence T try to turn it back on. IT IS NOT NECESSARY.

2 cite... but it has been deleted...
Been deleted and is not the same as UNINSTALLED. Maybe you had deleted the shortcut or its icon, the PROGRAM itself is still in the system.

    3. If you insist on having Windows Defender on, find another antivirus program that allows Windows Defender to run along the coast, such as Avast free home edition.

    4. There is another way to get to the "for features in addition to abti-malware acanning. Windows Defender is not the only way to access these "other functions".

In short; If you stay with MSE, forget you to Windows Defender. It is not necessary.

Did you change your computer before this problem?

A possible reason for this problem is that you have installed entirely or partially on the computer security software conflict.
