When I try to start firefox I get a message that says proxy server refusing conections
problems last night macafee said something was trying to download on my computer wanted t allow I said no then everything froze for a few minutes, when everything was closed and I try to restart firefox, I got the proxy server message refusing to connect, I tried to turn on and turn on my computer but still got the same message tried to restore the system , but only date I was given was 07/07/2010 so that not help do not know what to do to solve the problem

When you try to import photos I get an error that says: Preview is not available for this file. Then when I try to download these files, a gray box returns for each photo with the name of the file, and this error message -Preview is not available for this file but no picture. The files are JPEG files. I use Lightroom CC help?
Some additional information. I received these photos of my granddaughter of my son with Dropbox. I checked the files under properties and found that they were listed as "some blocked properties" so I checked the box to 'unlock' and click on apply. The blocked message went away. Then, I took the original photos out of the folder of file they were in. I went back to LR and made sure those grey boxes with the Preview is not available for this file was missing. Then I went to the new files with the status of unlock in a new folder and tried to import into LR... same thing happens again! UGH

Could you please copy the images of Dropbox in a new folder on the computer/pictures folder.
Also, then try again to import images into Lightroom and also please check if you have read and write permissions on the images.

First of all, I suggest you try to access a different zip file and check if you are able to open. This will help us know if the problem is with the zip file special or the application.
I suggest you do a right click on the particular file and select extract and check if you are able to access the particular file.

This started after I did some of my old computer Quickbook files windows easy transfer to my laptop. I uninstalled firefox and download the latest version on the site and still get this message. I don't see where it can be run. Thnx, Bill.
This sounds like it is not the installation of Firefox itself that is messed up, but your profile folder (where are stored the your personal settings such as bookmarks, passwords, etc.). You say you used easy transfer, and that could hurt somehow.
To start from scratch once again, follow the instructions under "create a new profile" here: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles. I hope this helps!

Something.on 29 started w/FF SP3 Win XP (Home)
W/taskmanager verified and PS there is no other instance of FF.
Only happens in my profile, administrator and other users do not receive this message.First reset, did not work.

There was no possibility of not installing the update (in custom installation) as in the installation from the heel, but I went ahead anyway.
This seems to have done the trick.
