When sending an email the cirle maintains just turn and nothing happens.

Just recently when I try to send an email, the circle just continues to run and does not stop. I used to get a message stating "Email sent", but it happens not at all now. It comes in the last two or three days that this happened.

What e-mail do you use?

Uninstall the toolbar Ask and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask and Firefox toolbar that prevents the opening of new tabs.

There are a few places to check for the Ask toolbar:

  • After YOU download Firefox 4.0, I get a message 'the system does not support' and nothing happens. My old Firefox has been replaced by one that does not.

Asked by Firefox to download Firefox 4.0 for OSX I did. It replaced my old Firefox which worked well. When I try to open it, I get a window "cannot be started" Firefox and nothing more happens. I've tried to redownload 3.616 Firefox, but to open it, I get the message 'Choose application' and I don't know which app to use.

You can get an unofficial version of Firefox 4, which runs on Mac OS X 10.4 from http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/

Or you can re - download Firefox 3.6 since http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

Oops... found the problem. My address book was called "recipients" next to my e-mail address. I edited this name to say 'Margaret Parsons' and hop my name appears in the 'From' line on my e-mails. Yes, problem solved, enough time and poking around Thunderbird... of course love this email.

  • Outlook express 6 when sending a message, the message 'hang up' in the Outbox

Outlook express 6, when sending a message, the message 'hang up' in the Outbox, don't watch not in the box sent but is sent (confirmed) and continues to repeat the send action.

I use outlook in private mode and a mode of business, private mode gives problems mode business is good
In private and commercial modes, do you mean different identities? You probably have the corruption of dbx files in the identity of the problem.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the files of user OE (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

  • Outlook Express 6 problem: send an email I get an error message and the email is not put in the sent items folder

Outlook Express 6, Windows XP SP 3

Problem: send an email, I get an error message and the email is not put in the sent items folder while the email (and attachments, if any) are successfully delivered to the recipient.

The full error message is always useful, but I'm sure you have damaged dbx files.

  • When sending an email I open contact (F9), but when I double click on contact and nothing happens.

When I have an email to pass I'll forward then try entering an e-mail address of my contact list and nothing happens.

Thank you for the presentation of reports. Could mark you your last message as a solution?

  • Buttons on the dialog and prompt boxes are empty and nothing happens when I click on them.

Whenever a dialog box or a dialog box appears, all the buttons, or sometimes just the low two (OK and cancel) are empty and nothing happens when I click on them, with the exception of a Web site in which clicking on the white button who normally says 'OK' takes me to a white screen. This does not allow me to access some sites or Web download anything when a dialog box asks me to confirm. So, I also can't start firefox in safe mode or refresh.

An example is attached. This is what came up when I tried to update to firefox. Nothing happens when I click on one of the buttons at the bottom.

    EDIT: Attached the image.

Hmm. could be a corrupted file was the cause, and it replaced.
As long as the problem disappeared.

  • I'm filling out a form that is available on a site. When I click on the option to fill out and submit the form 'online' a pdf document is displayed in chrome with the following text "to display all of the content of this document, you need a later version

I'm filling out a form that is available on a site. When I click on the option to fill out and submit the form 'online' a pdf document is displayed in chrome with the following text

«To display all of the content of this document, you need a later version the viewer PDF.» You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html for further support, go to www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html"

Needless to day, I installed the latest version. I even reinstalled using the link in the message, but nothing helped. Whenever I click on the link to go forward, I get the same message. Question: (i) is it my PC/software (Vista), (ii) is the site where I'm trying to submit the form, or (iii) is it the software acrobat reader. Note that I used successfully the last version to fill out and sign forms.

It is none of them. It's Chrome, which is ignoring Adobe Reader and showing the message.

Solution: just save the document (with the message) to your desktop. Then open it in Adobe Reader. The 'real' should then display.
