  • Computer will turn off when the PXI chassis is turned off

    Hello

I realized that my computer is shut down properly if I disable my chassis PXI-1036, until the computer is turned off. Is this a normal behaivour?

As I remember, the chassis PXI-1036 must be turned on until the computer is power on, and I think that maybe on turn it off I have to follow the same procedure.

Thanks a lot for your advice,

    Hector

The chassis must be on anytime on the PC is.  Then it turn on before the PC and turn it off after the PC.

This is because the chassis is an extension of the PC's PCI bus, so he expects everything to be available all the time the PC is powered on, as would be a PCI expansion card.

  • Airport Express do not work when the mac has been turned off

I plugged our mac mini and the Airport express separately to the internet via a network hub. When I turn off the green light on the airport Mac Orange and blinks. The internet connection disappeared.

Is anyone know how I can configure the network, so I can turn off the mac without cutting off the internet at the Airport express?

Post a screenshot of the express installation of airport utility.

I plugged our mac mini and the Airport express separately to the internet via a network hub.

This seems odd... What is a network hub? They went to fashion 20 years ago. Do you mean a switch? Real model number please.

    What model is the express?

Is anyone know how I can configure the network, so I can turn off the mac without cutting off the internet at the Airport express?

Plug the Express directly on the main router... and implemented in Bridge mode and create a wireless network. That's the way it should be installed now... but this 'hub' could be a problem.

  • Overnight battery discharged when the satellite has been turned off

    Hello

This has happened again. My battery empties 25% from one day to the next and will be completely discharged in a week. The machine is not in hibernation, it is completely shut down. If I charge the battery and remove it from the machine it does not lose cool, which indicates a draining of the laptop. Any ideas?

    Hello

Maybe this will help you a bit:

I found this useful Toshiba paper on this topic:

Battery drains 15-20% when it is turned off during the night
    http://support.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB6B01N50013R01.htm

This can happen if the wake on the service LAN (WOL) by the built-in LAN module is turned on

    Please check!

    -----------------------
By the way; the loss of 2 to 4% of the power of the battery during the night is a normal state.

  • Podcast OGG resume problems when the device has been turned off and on again

Even if the rocket + is listed as support AAC, it seems it does not support AAC files over a certain length, otherwise some file size.  (Someone, is it a value of its own thread?)

For this reason, I need to convert some podcasts to another file format before listening.  MediaMonkey standard appears to limit MP3 conversions (but I love the software otherwise) so I thought that I would like to convert it into OGG instead (and OGG seems to have a better rate of compression than MP3 anyway).

I found it by listening to these podcasts I can pause successfully to create a restore point, and when I come back, it takes up very well, as long as the device has not been driven off the coast between the two.  If the unit has cycled and turn it back on, when I come back to try to resume, it tries (he lists even the index of screen time) but then says "no file type supported" and fails to resume.  I tested on my old Fuze and do not have the same problem.

Others experiencing the same thing?  I want to make sure that if it is just a simple bug of Sandisk is aware of this and can provide a fix in a future update.

BTW, I'm using firmware 1.32.00 (latest as of this post).

This seems to have been fixed with the latest firmware.

  • How to remove run as administrator when the box is already turned off?

    Hello

For complicated reasons, I put a program runs as an administrator, by checking the box in the properties.
Solved the initial problem, but then the program has had an update and now I need to run normally to solve the problem. This is why I don't want the program run with elevated privileges.
I went back to the properties and unchecked the box, but in fact nothing has changed: the shield appears always in the corner of the icon of the program, I always wonder confirmation whenever I run the program.
When I return in the box properties is displayed unchecked so I can't UN check new.

    I tried:

Box uncheck 'run as administrator' in the tab 'change settings for all users.

    Restart

Deleting the files local and re - install

I am running Windows 7 family Premium-64 bit, with a single user (admin).

    What is going on?

For reference, the reason I want to remove admin privileges is that this program is supposed to run at startup, but high blocks UAC with privelidges startup programs.

    Thank you

    Andreas

Then, they are different versions of the same program.  If it's the shield, it is programmed by the developer to require administrative rights.  You can enable each time with the UAC dialog box (or you can turn off UAC to keep everything running as an administrator all the time, obviously not recommend).  In otherwise, know if you install a hotfix or update the program, because only the person or the developer who built it can change the programming.

  • The AT200 tablet screen turns off

    Help...

I had my AT200 for a little more than 24 hours and the sceen went now empty, but the Tablet is still on, screen is blank, but on and the unit is completely insensitive.

Can not switch it out... don't know what to do now?

    Really disappointed :-(

    Can someone help, please?

    Thank you

    Hi Catherine,
This happened to my Tablet too early. But after that in the past few weeks, my Tablet ran completely without this problem occurring again (after installing a few fix, see below). So there is hope.

Certainly your tablet is at a standstill. A software error has occurred which even turned off the power button.
There are also no way for a hard reset on the AT200 (like removing the battery).

You can try in any case to press the longest power button (5-10 seconds) maybe it helps.

    My solution is:
Let your only Tablet for a few hours. Important: Do not plug the power supply!

After a few hours (I think that mine took about 12 to 20 h) battery will be (nearly) exhausted, and I hope that the material will turn off the tablet at a standstill to save the battery against damage.

At any time, you can try the power switch. I have the Tablet is at a standstill should not react. If the Tablet is turned off, the power led should continue for a second, then turns off. (Because of the battery it won't turn)

Then you can connect the power supply. The power led should go on now, which indicates that the Tablet battery is charged.

After a few minutes you should be able (I hope) back on the shelf. (Leave the power supply connected)

    It worked for me.

Now, of course, an Internet connection is present (active Wifi).
Open the App 'Toshiba Service Station', updates, and then install the hotfix for 3.2.1. (I guess that the Tablet has not already the 4.0? Mine doesn't).

If you get no reaction against the ignition switch after waiting a longer time. Alternatively, you can connect the power supply for a trial. If the power led lights which can be a good indicator that the Tablet is alive again.

    Good luck!

  • Hit by sliding does not work when the word suggestions are turned off

    Hello

I wonder why input gesture to typing on the keyboard is grayed out when I disable Word suggestions? I don't want Word suggestions and I don't often type in English, but I would still like to be able to type without raising my finger on the keyboard. Anyone know if this can be done on Android Lollipop?

Well, the whole point of this gesture of strikes is that the phone indicates word based on what letters you put your finger on. If he would not suggest any word, you wouldn't be able to type any word, you could only make words with the letters that are side by side on the keyboard.

  • Computer screen turns off when I plug an HDMI cable

Initially, I had both my tv and computer off. I plugged the dvi to tv and the HDMI to laptop and turned them both on. I had no problems using my laptop I tried to synchronize the computer to the TV. However I must have accidentally hit something in the graphics options as my laptop screen went black. I unplugged my laptop hdmi cable and the screen returns to the top. But now, for some reason whenever I plug the HDMI cable for the laptop, the screen goes black. When I take it on it the screen comes back to the top. I have something that is originally for this change? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

  • Tecra A5 - charges the battery only when the computer is turned off

    Hello

For a few days, my Tecra A5 has started to beep and stop it (like when the battery is low) then that it was connected to the power supply adapter.

I finally realized that when the computer is plugged in, the battery discharge and does not use the power supply to recharge.

On the other hand, if I turn off the computer, the battery starts to charge.
I replaced the battery a few months ago, so I think it's still OK.

The charger would be defective? Seems strange since it can always recharge the battery when the computer is turned off.

Thanks in advance for your contributions.

    > The charger is defective?

Theoretically; Yes, but could also be electronic supply on the motherboard is affected, but on the first stage of the AC adapter should be verified and laptop needs to be tested with AC adapter new, good work.

You're overthinking this problem.  Simply configure tasks planned to inform you of missed tasks .  If the date of scheduled backup has been a weekend or a holiday with the computer off, the next time you turn on the computer you will get a notification that "some tasks did not run."  At this time, manually start the backup job.

  • Computer DV7-1825dx laptop screen turns off at least connected to the HDMI

I have a Pavilion dv7-1825dx running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.  The other day, I simply closed the laptop into hibernation.  At the time, it was only connected to a printer and a wireless mouse.  The next day, I opened the laptop and it turned on but the screen stays off.  I shut down the computer by holding the power button and then turned back on.  The screen appeared and asked me if I wanted to start Windows normally.  Then, I got the loading screen for Windows.  As soon as he was done loading, the screen turns off and the chime sounded for the login screen.  I repeated again than having the same problem.  I typed my password, but the screen stays off.  Because I often hang my computer to our TV via HDMI, I thought I would try it, and that is, both screens lit.  I then disconnected the HDMI cable and the computer screen exploded again.  Plugged into the HDMI and activated.  I went into options for NVIDIA and noticed that there is an analog display with the screen of television and laptop (up to three screens on the list).  I restarted in safe mode, and the screen of the laptop works great.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?  That I can not connect my laptop to the TV whenever I want to use.

    Thank you advance!

Save the driver on the desktop and install it from there, not in a temporary folder.

Create a Windows restore point before starting.

During the installation of the new driver, click on "Custom" and there will be a link to uninstall the old drivers and all of your current settings, this before you install the new driver.

  • Backup cancelled in Windows 7 when the computer is turned off.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system.

Periodically, the Action Center will display a message saying that I have to do a backup, what I do before turning off the computer. However, when I reboot the computer, I discovered that the backup has been cancelled.

I have searched the web but can't find information about how to make the computer shuts down automatically once the backup completed successfully.  Does anyone have a solution?

The backup has been working in the past?

Have you ever attempted an upgrade to Windows 10 and then back to Windows 7?

For example let's say you have your backup scheduled task to run at midnight...

If your computer is stopped at midnight, the backup does not - because the computer is stopped and the task was "missed" because the computer has been shut down.

If you have the backup task configured on "Run as soon as possible after a regular departure was missed":

When your computer working again missed backup task starts automatically.

If you have your scheduled backup job to run at midnight and your computer is in "Sleep" mode, you have the task configured to wake the computer to run the backup:

This won't work for wake up the computer if it is in "Sleep" mode  It will not work if the computer is in hibernation or if the computer is shut down.  As you can be awakened from sleep, the computer can be awakened from sleep, but you can't be awake if you're dead (stop).  You have to sleep to being awake.  You can be awake if you're dead or hibernation.

The 'problem' with this approach is if the computer wakes up and runs the backup it will continue to function and you don't want that.   You can the computer to wake up, run the backup, and then click Stop (or to go back to sleep) when the backup is complete, and you can configure to occur in two different ways.  If that's how you think you want things to work ask the question in the right way, and describe how you want things to work.

If your computer is in hibernation or stop the scheduled backup will not work until the computer working again and realizes that he has missed a task... then the backup will run - if you have the task set to do as the first example.

Depending on certain factors that have nothing to do with Windows there are ways to make your computer start at a certain time of the hibernation or shutdown (mean 23:55) so it will be quick and then the backup will take place at midnight but will continue to operate your computer unless you include an additional step to stop the system again when the backup is complete.  These things are not exactly automatically built into Windows, but there might be ways to do things the way it works.  If that's how you think you want things to work ask the question in the right way, and describe how you want things to work.

Find how to solve is often a matter of the question or stating the problem clearly there is no guess, no things difficult and none of these proceedings of the wild goose.

What is the problem with the way your backup works now?

What part doesn't work the way you think it should work?

How do you think this should work?

    How it works?

If your computer is turned off (off) do you want that it to wake up itself, run the backup and then stop when the backup he fill?  You can do it if you want, but it takes an extra effort and has a few requirements outside the Windows operating system.

The task of the example above is set to run every Monday at 09:00.

If my computer is running at 09:00 on Monday, the backup will start and run Monday at 09:00.

If my computer doesn't work at 09:00 on Monday, the backup will run as soon as possible after the computer restart us and that's fine with me.

I do not use sleep or Hibernate so I don't have to worry about how get the copy backup to run under these conditions.

  • Connection Bluetooth SPP suspended when the screen turns off

    Hello

I have a weird behavior of my application connected to Bluetooth.

The Bluetooth of my application part is identical to the bluetoothchatspp. The connection is made in this way:

    bt_device_init (BTControllerCallback);
    bt_spp_init();

    bt_spp_open (m_remoteAddress.toAscii (). Data(), (char *) SPP_SERVICE_UUID, false);

    using

    SPP_SERVICE_UUID as '00001101-0000-1000-8000-00805F9B34FB '.

If I disable the screen timeout with this qml command "Application.mainWindow.screenIdleMode = 1" then I can send and receive data via SPP for hours.

Now, if the screen times out, exactly 10 sec after the time-out period (regardless of the timeout settings is), the BT link is suspended which means no data are sent and received. I measured this interval using the system clock and catch the signal with this command:

    connectResult = QObject::connect (bb::cascades:Application:instance (), SIGNAL (asleep ()), this, SLOT (onAsleep ()));

Once the screen is again (make a shot for example) then the resumption of transfer of data without breaking the BT link.

Is there a feature suspending BT SPP link when saving the screen turns off?

I need to read stream data from my sensors so I need to disable this feature.

    You have the

    run_when_backgrounded

    authorization to the handle bar?
