    Hello

You do not uninstall as such.

You would normally buy a legitimate operating system disk / license and do a clean install with it, by removing the non-genuine Vista during the installation process.

Or you can download this program (Darik Boot and Nuke) > make a Bootable Disk with him > Boot and wipe the hard drive of everything:

You can buy a legitimate operating system if you want to continue to use this computer.

Try to remove the UpperFilters value. by following these steps:

Copy and paste the following text in Notepad and save to a .reg file (save with the .reg extension and give a name like fixcd.reg):

First create a system restore point, and then double-click the saved .reg file, add to the registry and restart the computer.

  • Disk defrag works not, taskmanager no opening, very slow downing load anything

I've had problems with my computer for a while now and I don't know what else to do now, I'm trying this.  I sent this computer in Bridge 2 times now and this looks at what could be the third if I can't get all the answers.  The problems I have been having always start when I first try to defrag my computer.  It takes forever to defragment. I started it at 09:00 and it was not yet done at 20:00. I finally stopped him at 21:00 and it just sitting there like it was stuck.  now my task manager does not open and I can't get this thing to download something, including the microsoft fixit tools.  I am very frustrated.  I downloaded all execept serivce Pack 2 updates and this thing is everything to date.  any help would be great.

Installation of the Service Pack 2 - that is where I would start. You say that you have downloaded all the updatesexcept this one, so with that one being later, it should correct a little (apart from a virus, etc.). An application that will help you realize what lack us isBelarc Advisor . I love it, because it produces a file html (on your own computer), and once it loads in your browser, you can print it out and have a list of all installed on your computer - and it includes what Microsoft Updates are installed and missing, with the version numbers for all of this. And it's free. :-)

I'll make sure that Windows Defender runs, as a bare minimum (I thought Windows Security Essentials, being in agreement, but I uninstalled it because it made my Vista boot slowly and returned to the Defender). Vista is quite safe, however. If you buy a commercial product, I recommend Kaspersky (I don't use it myself, because I download a lot and I'm careful, but my mother has it on his computer and she's in all Big Fish Games and so on and got a nasty on her own a bit... virus) Until Kasperky was installed and took care of that - now it catches everything (so far)).

Virus and others can make Windows run slowly. I've seen all kinds - some file after file replication, increasing the number and size of the files, the names of some really stealth and switching. But if it is not a virus that slows down your computer, it is really likely to be fragmented files. In this case, I would recommend Auslogics Disk Defrag . It's free and FAST.  You can defragment with a new and also OPTIMIZE files so that things run faster. Any defragger will take more time with the bigger hard drives. Windows Defrag takes too long. So doesn't the defragmenter in Advanced SystemCare 3(so uncheck the Defragmenter option if you run this, BUT I recommend highly this program because it will clean a lot of things for the better - remember do not check the boxes in the window popup resulting for the module of security... unless you know what you're doing , because not all these (Browser Helper Objects, etc.) are a problem. This program also includes a fixer shortcut, an application that allows you to see what programs are running at startup and much more. One of the best I've seen, and I used it for a few years now without a problem.

These last two linked above will go a long way toward acceleration and optimization of your system. I run these two first and then restart. SystemCare has three main sections of things that can be run - she is really well organized. It "takes the trash", in other words. :-) It will get rid of unwanted files and increase the speed and solve common registry problems (something I was initially uncertain about when I got it, but after a few years, it was no concern - it cleans things upwards, and unlike other programs of registry).

Another possibility: according to how you have set aside for virtual memory, if you get close to maxing out your hard disk space, you might find yourself in a situation where the computer is both need to write a lot on the drive and need more space, or space dedicated to virtual memory (I call it "the garbage area" where she must write and write about things older in this area) (as things are processed - this is temporary memory). Bottom line: If you are short on space and don't know what to do about virtual memory (and people use virtual memory to compensate for the fact that they do not have a lot of RAM |) Memory to play with), then let the system choose automatically the drive. To set it, you go to computer (aka My), right click and select Properties, and then when the system properties, click Advanced, then settings of Performance, then advanced once, then, virtual memory, select change. You can select automatic for ALL your drives, OR that the management system of the size for the selected drive. All readers do not have to have it, but whatever you select whether by car, it will create this sandbox of virtual memory paging on the same drive. Editing plan that will be used by the system to write things. Check the recommended size it compared to what is currently assigned. To play it safe, go with the recommended or let the system handle. Virtual memory can increase the speed and performance.

I hope that these things help with some of your speed issues.

(Note: the not not opening Task Manager, tells me that it might be a virus on your system, in which case you could look in these free programs:EMCO Maleware Destroyer andEmsisoft Anti-Malware (formerly A2 Squared) (full analysis is thorough and takes some time, but there is a quick analysis).) Lavasoft Adware, SpwareBlaster, Spybot Search & Destroy are also good.

  • Defrag works not properly?

Hi, I'm not sure that defrag does not work properly.  Laptop has 221 GB of space with 21 GB free then info 160 GB to defragment. 18 hours last night!  Should it take too long?   If I type Defrag.exe, nothing happens.
    Thank you!

    Hello, Paul.

It is explained that the difference from computer to computer resembles that of a clean room compared to a dirty room.  How many times you defrag?

    http://www.ehow.com/facts_5408498_long-should-defrag-take_.html

The defragmentation time will depend on your hardware, the size of the partition and file storage types. In addition, low disk space would be causing this problem.

You can run disk cleanup before defragmenting. Perform a clean boot and then run Defrag.

In addition, I recommend that you try to verify the integrity of the disc - Zhen Tan (MSFT CSG)

What version of XP, including service pack?

Have ever run you defrag as a scheduled task?

Is the account that you use to schedule the task has a password?

Have you tested the task after you create by clicking right on it in the Task Scheduler window and selecting run?

What is the code for "Last result" for your task as shown in the Task Scheduler window?

What is in the column "Status" of your task as shown in the Task Scheduler window?

    See the log schedule tasks:

    • Open scheduled tasks
    • Advanced > view log

Scroll down the page until you find the line of asterisks (*) that has the annotation that the last task is above this line.  If you cannot determine what the problem is with your task, copy and paste the relevant lines of the log in your next reply here.

  • Vista Home Premium 32 - Disk Defrag works not properly

When I try to run the defragmentation tool, it starts to work, then stops after a second word is complete.  I know that this cannot be considered as shortly as it used to take hours before.  I can't use the system restore I had to disable recently in order to remove a Trojan virus under the direction of a mod to Kaspersky.  I tried using the other disk such as Perfectdisk defragmenters, but I get the same problem.  It runs for 1 second, then stops, saying that it is complete, but did nothing at all.  I also tried to run defrag c: w from the cmd prompt.  It does not show same anything, he jumps right down to a new prompt.
I ran the System File Checker, and it detects no problem.  Help, please.

its probably because your player is already defragged, that's all.

  • Updated Windows and delete my work not saved!

I wrote some works on Notepad last night and I left my computer on all night, but when I woke in the morning it has rebooted and performed the login page and I found out it was a windows update and restarted/rebooted which is annoying because it did not ask my permission, etc., but can I get it back somehow that I don't save it because I do not think that the laptop will RE-START BY itself!

Most people leave the option 'Automatically install updates at 03:00 '.  You can type "windows update" in the start menu to configure the automatic update.  If an update requires a restart, the system will ask you if it is OK to restart.  If you ignore the warning for an hour, it recharges in any case.  Because an update is worth nothing until you restart the system, it is essential that this be done immediately.  Otherwise, your system is just as insecure as it would be with no update at all - and when updates come out, the pirates immediately start looking for unpatched for prey people.

If the file you were working on was open in a Microsoft Office like Word, PowerPoint, or Excel program, he could have been saved in your name.  The notebook is not sophisticated enough to handle this, however (Sticky Notes are, however).
Unfortunately, there is no way to recover the contents of the Notepad once the program Notepad is closed.

Captivate 8 - video integration problems. Video won't play Web server when published under the title of course HTML5 and video is selected to play in the same screen. Play video it works only in a new window. The problem is the customer's requested integrated video and it shows as an option in Captivate 8. In addition, the video screen is not at the same place on the screen, the image moves to the top of the browser window in Internet Explorer. Graphics problems appear ONLY in IE and Chrome for PC. We have updated browsers, installed all updates to Captivate 8 etc.

The issue seems to be with internet explore. The url is *.mp4, if IE browser opens Media player in a new window to read the files.

    Workaround solution:

Instead of using the interaction of the Web object, you can use a Web object (objects-> Web) site in the menu object.

After insertion, select the code incorporated in the style of the real property section. (Screenshot below)

Encapsulate the url in an HTML video tag and use it as input.

  • Double screen of Windows 7, second screen works not properly

I recently spent professional XP to windows 7 Home premium. I had a strange dual screen (ie. a monitor and a TV), with windows 7, I got a new drive hard (Hitachi sister hard 1 TB SATAII 7200 RPM 32 MB Cache - OEM) and installed windows 7, I have no other hardrives installed. the problem is I have a work screen (the main one) and the other is blue all the time, if I move the mouse to the edge it will disappear as if the screen works but do not reappear on the second screen. This could be the cause?

  • Tx2500 with Windows 7 pressure sensitivity works not

    Hello

I've recently upgraded to a non - OEM version of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I use Photoshop a lot so I quickly noticed that, while the touch screen worked, and the pen worked, I have no pressure sensitivity which is really important for my style of art.

If someone has installed Windows 7 on a TX2500 and had this problem? Any possible solution? We tried phone support, but they were unable to help him. I really like 7, and I don't mean to go back into the fight, if possible (I formatted the recovery partition = /) to go back to Vista.

    Thanks for your help guys!

  • Windows 7 update check works not

When I check the Windows updates f, I see the progress bar but nothing happens. I wait an hour, a day or a week and still nothing. Everything I have it see the progress bar that shows that it is to check the updates.

I tried to manually start the update. I ran the repair utility. I have disabled the firewall. I disabled the anti-virus. I'm not having any luck. So far, all messages and forums I saw told to try everything I listed above. No luck.

Can anyone help, since it's the second computer that I had this problem with.

The value of the automatic updates to "never check updates" and then restart Windows. Then try again. :)
