I am trying to install Windows 7 via USB, (El Capitan, Macbook Pro - early 2011), but this mistake "No. BOOTABLE DEVICE - INSERT BOOT DISK AND press ANY KEY ' when bootcamp restart my macbook to begin the installation. Any ideas?

You cannot use a USB on Mac 2011 Installer. Please burn the ISO on a physical DVD Windows (a DVD - R Carbon SL on the rate of burning slower is better) and use it to install Windows. The file Info.plist changes only allowing the creation of USB, but does not fully support a USB Installation.

Seems that the laptop can not find the bootable source.
This means that the HARD drive is malfunctioning or the boot sector is defective.

So, I don't know what to do. I tried searching on google and found a set, but talk of computer that I couldn't begin to understand. Basically, what I consider somewhere or can I fix it myself? I just paid for a new disk of Windows XP SP3, so I'm not looking forward to having to pay someone to use it.

    Hello

    ·         Windows XP came preinstalled on your laptop?

    ·         If so, you have a recovery partition?

    ·         Where did you buy the disc of Windows XP SP3 for?

nvrd32.sys file is a chipset driver and must be installed via floppy F6 during initial installation.

Method 1: To do this, follow these steps.

    a. you can download the chipset drivers from Toshiba Web site and copy it to a floppy drive.

    b. press F6 at the start of the installation of Windows XP.

    c. follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers for the chipset.

Method 2: You can contact Toshiba to restore to factory on the laptop.

  • Computer off, showing U2913WM "there is no signal from your computer press any key on the keyboard.

    Hi all

Any help on this incredibly annoying would be much appreciated; I googled the out of him, but without success. I have a month or so old Dell U2913WM which I am more than happy with picturewise, but he demonstrated a very annoying problem. Whenever my PC goes to sleep, or worse, when I turn off my system, the monitor goes power save mode BUT after 30 minutes or so flashes upward:
"There is no signal from your computer. Press any key on the keyboard or move the mouse to wake him up. If there is no display, place the monitor button now to select the correct input in the on-screen Display menu source. »
It then repeats this message every 3 minutes approximately.

I tried to reset the options in the menu of the screen, change the PC drivers (although this may not be the issue once the PC is turned off) and checking the dual link cable DVI for bent pins. Nothing worked and he drives me crazy! I have also another 22 "Dell Ultrasharp plugged on the GTX 780 and who falls asleep without problem. Any help would be most welcome!

    Thanks :)

OK I fixed this annoying problem. I thought I'd post here in case someone else falls on this problem.

To remedy this I simply connected via DisplyPort and the monitor is no longer wakes himself of no apparent reason.

I ran fixmbr too, but you don't need to contact your manufacturer for assistance.

It is extremely unlikely that any computer purchased at a store bought on this planet will have installed XP Recovery Console.

It is extremely unlikely that any computer purchased at a store bought on this planet will be accompanied by a genuine XP installation CD bootable that can be used to start the XP Recovery Console.

It's extremely likely that any manufacturer on this planet will send you an installation CD XP genuine for you can start in the Recovery Console.

It is extremely likely that the majority of the posters on the forums is not any type of bootable XP media.

It is extremely likely that the majority of the posters on the forums have never actually seen, possessed or otherwise come into contact with an XP bootable installation CD authentic in their lives, or if they already had in their possession, it is now nowhere to be found.

I wonder why never support engineers offer this idea for the Recovery Console.

    (a) they do not know how
    (b) they are not allowed to post anything that isn't in a KB article
    (c) they are not allowed to post links to any place outside of Microsoft
    (d) your idea here

You can make a bootable CD of XP (no XP media required) Recovery Console.

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    Hello

First of all I would like to know what model phone you have and what Windows system do you use?

    Regarding the question:
It seems that you have a master boot record error. This means that preinstalled system is too bad and therefore he cannot be started
It is possible that the partition on the HARD drive is confusing upward too

But the fact is that you have need of a system disk or recovery in the repair of the order or to install the system again without these drives, you wouldn't be able to get the laptop running using Microsoft Windows disk, you can try to repair the MBR.

But the Toshiba Recovery cannot be used to repair the system, you can use the recovery disk to reinstall the image

  • Satellite L300D-222: "insert the boot disk and press any key".

    Hello

My laptop froze this morning and so I stopped it when restarting it however, I received the message "No boot device - insert boot disk and press any key", what it means?

I didn't not get discs with the laptop, or have I made the recovery discs. The instruction manual says to press f8 when I restart and go to "menu of advanced start", but it doesn't matter. Where should I go from here, is there a program I can download that would have this disc? All my work on the computer will be lost?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hello

He looks at the HARD drive died and so the laptop can not boot from the HARD drive but request disk bootable.
But to be sure, you need to access the BIOS (press F2) and check if the HARD drive is recognized in the BIOS.
If it s not recognized, then you need a new HARD drive.

The recovery disc can be ordered here:

Usually bad drivers or a battery flat results in failure to resume.

You can try a system restore to a date where HP was working properly and update the drivers for your USB devices.

If it's any help, then maybe its time to back up your data and run your recovery disc recovery. Its good to do this once a year to keep the system clean and error-free. Windows tends to become slow and loses errornous over time, because of the power, viruses, software badly written, etc...

  • I screwed up trying to install windows on my computer 10 and I XE off installer and now its says "no boot device - insert boot disk and press any key".

I was just trying to download 10 on my computer windows using boot camp assistant. I answered the questions for windows when you need to respond as what kind of language you use and then I messed up on one of the questions. I didn't know how to go back so I just pressed the red x. When I did that he must get off my computer and when it's done I got a black screen and then it says "No boot device - insert boot disk and press any key" I don't know what he meant by no bootable disk and I was hoping that you guys can help me fix.

If stop you your Mac and your power it back up and hold down the Alt/Option key, you see a Windows selection? If so try to select and see if the installation will continue.

  • No boot device - insert boot disk and press any key

    Hello

I was with boot camp to install 10 Windows from a usb key. The first problem I encountered was an error message stating that Windows supports software could not be downloaded on my flash drive. I read that the necessary drivers could be installed later so I unchecked the box. The part of the installation, then training camp as it should (create a partition etc.)

However, when the Mac went to restart and (probably) to start the program installation of Windows, the error message "No boot device - insert boot disk and press any key" displayed. My problem is the wireless keyboard does not respond and the light on this issue seems to suggest that it is not connected. My guess is that the drivers needed, such as Bluetooth are not there.

I'd be happy enough to restart OS x and forget all about Windows, but I can't see how to get around this problem?

    A wired keyboard could work?

    any help is appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

    Max.

A wired keyboard and mouse will work. If you try to install Windows and tried to download the Windows software on a wireless network, try a wired connection. to rebuild your USB Installer.
