  Hey everybody!
  
  I recently bought a replacement charger for my new HP Pavilion Dv7t. It's a brand of replacement, and I have confirmed that it works with my other laptop, a compaq. It is not faulty. I checked with several sites and they all say this charger is compatible with my Pavillion Dv7t, however when I put in the charger, it shows the icon of it charge for a few seconds, then returns to battery use, as if there is nothing plugged at all.
  
  I tried to turn on the computer when my battery came out as well and it won't turn. It is therefore not my battery.
  
  Is there perhaps a software that prevent me from using the Chargers not HP? I've heard a few other forums you must drain your battery up to 0 and try again. I'm skeptical about using this method though, in case I need to fix something with the software.
  
  For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

  As strange as it sounds, you're sure it's the right type of charger for this laptop? I have no doubt that the charger is compatible with the Dv7, but there might be differences in power provided/required between models. In the example - my Compaq 615 uses a powerbrick that pumps 10.8 V DC (with the peak of 12 - ish), but there is an another Compaq615 that uses a 14 volts charger...

  So, if it's possible, just look at the two Chargers - especially for the values of voltage and Amp, British Colombia is they diffferent... Well that's your problem!

  I have a problem-solving with portable HP2311x and ProBook6455b.

  Maximum resolution is 1600 X 1200

  Current display driver is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200

  However, my HP monitor supports the 1920 X 1080.

  I used only the external monitor without using the laptop monitor and the maximum resolution is always to 1600 x 1200.

  I also downloaded the drivers recommended by HP, but it does not solve the issue.

  I also tried with the drivers provided by AMD, but I get still more low resolution (1280 x 768) because the driver software detects is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250

  When I try to use the AMD Vision Engine Control Center stops unexpectedly

  I understand that you are not able to use the full resolution of the monitor even when the screen of the laptop is out of the question.

  Ensure that the system has the right driver for the monitor found here.

  Please check if you have this version of the camera installed which include your raw files.

  It would also be that your photoshop will not have to install this version of camera raw as its very old.

  In this case, you can convert your raw files to DNG and can use it.

• General question about the updates and version number

  I have a general question about versions and update.  I'm new on this and am in the deep end of learning I want.

  In vSphere web client, I see the following versions (these are exactly as the seller, he left a few months that I have screenshots in my documentation that match)

  Version - VMware ESXi, 5.1.0 1612806

  Profile - Dell (updated) ESXi - 5.1 - 799733 (A00)

  I am trying to familiarize themselves with the Update Manager and I noticed that there are a lot of patches and updates available.

  Lists of Update Manager 5 patches as "Missing" with Red x but directly above them are a list of patches with green tick indicating that "installed" - it is perhaps obvious, but im guessing 'installed' means really installed when displayed on the screen - there is an update installed, labeled "ESXI 5.1 all the update 2-' would be able to tell that it has been installed by the details of profile/version above?

  I don't think it's a big deal at this stage, but if I install all missing patches and then the details of the version/profile change in summary screen?
