When will I get back Google toolbar them?
Updated to 5.0 lost google toolbar as well as things like spell check. translate etc. When will we be able to get Google tool bar back or what I need to get firefox or go to someone else
The Google toolbar still works fine with Firefox 5.0, although she says it's not compatible. However, because of Firefox "design bad compatibility, until Google releases a new version, you must install add-on Compatibility Reporter https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/15003 Mozilla extension and restart Firefox twice."
Each extension Specifies the maximum compatible version, which is probably 4.0 in your case ('your' as in 90% of users) that Firefox did not devs any time to check and re-release their extensions for version 5.0.
The add-on Compatibility Reporter extension essentially tells Firefox to ignore the maximum compatible version so the extension can still work on version 5.0, just as he did on 4.0.

When I installed it, a window will appear showing the addons that were not supported in this new version. One of them was the Norton Toolbar. I rely on the part Identity Safe on the toolbar to provide me with sign auto to frequently visited Web sites. How can I return this function?

I disabled all my toolbars and cannot get back them again.
I inadvertently disabled all my toolbars and now don't turn them back on. I can't go to one of my favorites. How can I activate on toolbars when I don't have a toolbar to do?
If you have hidden the menu bar, press Alt or F10, it will temporarily display the bar menu, and then on the view menu, select Toolbars and click on the entrance to the "Menu bar" to permanently display the menu bar.
You can then use view > toolbars to display other toolbars you want.

I went to view/toolbars and disabled my toolbars. Now I can not understand how to get back them. Have no 'view' to click on.
In Firefox 3.6 and later Windows, you can hide the menu bar on "view > toolbars" or via the contextual right click menu on a toolbar.
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key to bring up the menu bar temporarily.
Go to "view > toolbars", right click on the menu bar, or press Alt + V T to select to show or hide toolbars (click on an entry to switch from the State).See also what happened to the file, edit and view menus? and http://kb.mozillazine.org/Toolbar_customization

When I try a search using my google toolbar it stops responding and when I open tools > Addons, a window pops up saying script is unresponsive, which is followed by firefox crashing. How can I fix it?
It is possible that you have a problem with some Add on Firefox which is an obstacle to the normal behavior of your Firefox. Have you tried to disable all add-ons (just to see) to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you must make sure that it is not caused by one (or more) of your installed modules, whether an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do this easily and cleanly, start Firefox in safe mode (remember to select disable all add-ons when you start safe mode). If the problem goes away, you know that it's an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode and allow them one by one until you find the source of the problem. See this article for more information on troubleshooting extensions and themes and this one for plugins.
If you need help with one of your modules, you will need to contact the author.
If the problem does not disappear when all add-ons are disabled, please tell me, so we can work from there. Please be afraid not to follow my instructions to the line, as everything can be easily undone.

I just downloaded the latest version of Firefox - 17.01.4715 - but now my Norton Antivirus toolbar no longer appears. I've updated everything, etc.but, people of Norton told me I have to get back to 16 Firefox toolbar to work. This is unacceptable. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this? Or when Norton will get off their royal butt and update their toolbar is compatible?
If you use Norton 1012 then you should do Norton liveupdate support Firefox 17
Norton has actually be pretty good in having a update for a new major version of Firefox the same day or within a few days since Firefox 5.0. However, Norton will be screwing Firefox users when Firefox 18.0 comes out as needed to update then 2013 Norton.
