Just to make sure that we are talking about the same material, your MacBook is the retina of the MacBook, in early 2015, right? There was some confusion in this MacBook 'Community' leading to questions about the MacBook Pro and older MacBook.

In any case, I'm sure you see the window that shows a kernel panic. Apple has a few items of support here and here. Perhaps more useful is this article.

Was it everything you had done recently for the MacBook? Install an Apple update or maybe even from other software?

Resolving kernel panics is often difficult and can be difficult to solve the problems here.

Are you covered by AppleCare? Did you buy the MacBook less than a year ago? For this new model fairly likely, and you probably have AppleCare. You have access to an Apple Retail Store or Apple authorized reseller? Get professional help may be the best option.

    > My question is, is - this easy to fix & if not where is the best place to consider to get fixed. Said I was pretty dense

I think its easy to correct, but you'd need a Toshiba recovery disc.
Have you created one in the past?

If not, try to start the HARD drive recovery: turn on the device, press F8. Now choose fix my computer.
Now new window should open, and here you must select Toshiba HDD recovery option. This would create the laptop back to factory settings.

In case this isn't possible, you will need to boot from a recovery disk to reinstall the system.

  • HP 14-r015tx: Windows 8 slow start welcome screen

    Hello

I have a HP 14-r015tx running Windows OEM (preinstalled) 8.1 update and update Windows via Windows Update today (08/11/2015).

I have this problem where whenever I start my PC after Windows loading-black-screen with the HP logo (this approach indirect loading animation), get this screen "Please wait...". "so long as about 4 to 8 minutes until I get my account picture and the name with the 'Welcome' screen and my office appeared. I tried a lot of things:

-Defragment all my hard drive partitions,

-Optimize all my partitions of hard disk with the Windows defragmentation tool,

-Used TuneUp and clean all the junks, defragment the registry clean registry and redefragment my hard drive partitions.

-Uninstalling most of my games and unused applications (have 36.4 GB of free space on C,)

-Use cleanmgr and cleaned all the possible junks from there.

-Updated Windows 8 on a regular basis, and I just updated on 8 August 2015.

-Looking upward on my hard drive deep and my records and clear on the unused entries.

-Turn off much, services.msc and start apps services

-From msconfig, I put a few services, and

-Updated my BIOS HP PC software.

I do not understand on this subject. I tried many things and I can't fix this crappy Windows 8.

    In conclusion, my questions are:

    1. How do I fix this shit?

    2. can I I defragment RECOVERY (D [2 GB] partition?) (I think it's the Windows Recovery Partition)

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Shilohgold,

Generally, this problem is caused because of the video card related questions. I would like to know some information about this problem so that we can help you further.

1 update you are trying to install? (Mention the number of KB)

    2. do you get any error code or error message?

Try the following steps to verify that update failed recently.

    a. press Windows + Q keys.

    b. type view update history in the search option.

    c. click view update history .

    d. research update failed recently.

I suggest you try to update the video card drivers from the Web site of the manufacturer of the computer or from Windows Update and check if it works for you. This has the same step in troubleshooting provided in the original post, but here I add steps so that it can be easy for you to update the drivers.

See Microsoft Help next to update a hardware driver that is not working properly.

  • I built a new system. Transferred to the hard drive and video card, but everything else is new. Restart Windows as it begins to start. I can get into safe mode and found event id 7026 and event id 7001 in the event viewer.

As mentioned above, this is a new system, but with a more older IDE hard drive with windows xp pack 2 service (I think). I did find something online that contains all the system boot or start specific drivers. Windows and harddrive was working in another computer just before he was switched. Let me know if you need other information.

    Thank you.

First of all you are missing probably a number of device drivers, particularly the network card driver and the driver of the motherboard.  Use your XP disk to perform a repair installation.  This should go a long way toward you're going to get.  If your new box has a driver disc that should help a lot.  You can't port XP perfectly the way you did.   It usually requires a repair installation to fix the hardware abstraction layer. • "Missing operating system" is displayed when you try to start Windows 10

I have been using bootcamp to access the 10 Windows for quite awhile. It was working perfectly until a member of the family installed a Windows Update, but the battery is dead during the update. Following this window would charge any. A black screen with a blinking cursor. After that, I went back on fairing and wrong used the partition synchronization tool. Now, Windows is in a worse state and the "Missing operating system" message when you try to get back in. There is a good chance that the disk check running the Recovery Console will solve the problem.

    1. Insert the Windows XP CD in your CD-ROM drive and restart your computer. If you are prompted, select any options needed to start (boot) on the CD.

    2. when the text portion of Setup begins, follow the prompts. Select the repair or recovery option by pressing R.

    3. If you have a dual-boot or multiboot system, select the installation that you want to access from the Recovery Console.

Installation of xp and blue screen of death

    Hello

I recently formatted the partition boot and recovery of a laptop Medion2230, then merged the two partitions in a single NTFS partition.  Don't ask why, it's a long story.

Then, tried to install a new copy of Windows XP Home.  Everything is OK until the final phase, when the "Blue Screen of death" appeared during the installation of the drivers. Restarted and installing XP as normal to repeat the first onboard staged and went to the "blue screen" at the same point as before.

Using some diagnostic software, I reformatted the drive again, loaded XP set up and I had the same problem.

How to impose a layer of HAL during an upgrade or an installation of Windows XP

    Impose a HAL

To prevent Windows XP to automatically determine the system HAL during the upgrade or installation of Windows XP, you can manually force in a system HAL. To impose an Abstraction Layer HAL during a upgrade or installation of Windows XP, follow these steps:

    1. During the phase in text mode of Setup, when you receive the message at the bottom of the screen, press F5:

Press F6 if you need to install a third-party RAID or SCSI driver.

Note If you press F7, the Standard PC HAL loads and the ACPI enforcement is bypassed.

I would not need this except in the systems of many older and low end... :-(  After all, in the same article, for Standard PC they say: "the CPU can be a 386, 486, Pentium, Pentium II, or Pentium III '...

Thanks for letting us know what you were doing.  Do you have all the necessary drivers after loading Windows XP?  I would not recommend using the default drivers for any hardware - always see what the manufacturer offers on their web page for each component of your system - card motherboard chipset, audio, video, network devices, etc.
