When you open a PDF in Firefox on a Web site, the navigation bar disappears. I would copy the URL path to send personnel.

Using Acrobat Pro XI, Windows 7-64, Firefox 25. If I open a PDF file from a Web site link in Internet Explorer, the PDF file opens and I see the path of the URL where I can copy and send to others. The same link to open in Firefox does not display the path of the URL. I get the file, change the menu but no URL.

In order to change the default reader for PDF files (to not to open PDF files with the internal PDF reader to Firefox), do the following:

  1. Go to Tools > Options (or Firefox > Options).
  2. In the Options window, select the Applications tab.
  3. In the Search box, type PDF. You should find Portable Document Format (PDF).
  4. On the right referring, you should find a column of Action . To select your favorite PDF reader. In order to view PDFs in Firefox, choose Preview in Firefox.

This solve your problems? The report please come back shortly.

  • How to prevent a new tab in Firefox to open when you open a PDF file in Adobe.

First of all, this problem started Monday, August 25, 2014 when I was forced to update Firefox to log in my accounting online program. I had no such problem in the previous version of Firefox.

When I open a PDF document to an e-mail (which displays a Firefox icon next to it), the document opens in Adobe reader, but also a blank tab opens in Firefox, even with it is not already open. When I close the PDF, the Firefox tab remains open and I have to close it manually. Happening with PDF documents that I saved to the network of my company or my computer (which have the Adobe icon). I don't want to have to save a PDF file on my computer as a workaround for this problem.

Under Tools > Options > Applications, I already spent the Adobe/PDF options to open it in Adobe. In addition, in topic: config, the value of 'pdfjs.disabled' reads 'true' and 'plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types' contains "application/pdf".

I work with a lot of PDF files and I'm frustrated to the point where I'm about to uninstall Firefox and just use Internet Explorer.

Hello, it works when you enter in the Acrobat > edit > Preferences > General & click on the application by default option at the bottom? to reselect it adobe application and confirm this selection...

  • The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005) - keep from appearing when you open a pdf file. How can I stop this?

I'm on a 64-bit Windows 7 Pro computer and just upgraded to the most recent Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.  When I open a PDF file a window opens saying "the application could not start (0xc0000005).  Click OK to close this application"I click OK and the window opens up again about three or four times before it finally stopped.  My PDF file is then visible.  This is driving me crazy!  I tried to use "Repair Installation" in the Menu Help, but it has no effect.  I downloaded and installed the latest update - and this miserable message keeps popping up!  Before you do a system restore to revert to the previous version, can someone please tell me how to solve this problem?  Thank you very much.

    Hello

There might be a chance of the previous version left overs. Try uninstalling Acrobat using cleaning tool: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

Then try to reinstall it and then see if that solves the problem.

  • Disabling of processing Pages when you open a PDF file

I have Acrobat X and recently when I open some PDF files from my hard drive or a website it starts pages, treatment which is annoying and takes forever. I think it started after installing Adobe Air but I removed that program and it always does. Does anyone know how to disable this? Here is a screenshot of the treatment. Thank you!

    Processing.jpg

In your Acrobat preferences, disable accessibility - but actually, after checking, I think that it is some of these reading order options. It's been a while since I've seen comments on this process and give me an answer to the best of my memory.

  • When you open a PDF saved on my computer, Firefox will open several tabs for all of the PDF files I have in a folder. Why?

Recently, I tried to open some files in Adobe to view on my company computer. They have been recorded on my shared drive companies, and everyone seems to be able to open the files very well. When I try to open the files the program proceeds to open Firefox and wonder through the internet, if I want to download the file. At the beginning it wasn't a problem, because it was just a minor inconvenience. So today, I was working in a folder containing several files PDF (about 125 to express my frustration) and when I click on a file to open it, Adobe proceeded to open all PDF files in the folder. This means that each file opened a new tab in Firefox and proceeded to ask me if I wanted to download it. As I hope you can tell, I quickly became frustrated because I wanted only one file and it would not stop opening new tabs to ask me the same question 125 times. The only way to stop it was to open the Task Manager and go forward to force Firefox altogether.

I tried to update the program on my computer (it was already up to date), I tried to update the plugin Firefox (it was already up to date) to adobe, I tried the repair Adobe Reader Installation (it doesn't make a difference), and I searched the internet for information about the problem (I was not successful in finding something that relates). According to me, the only thing that I did is to uninstall and reinstall the program on my computer, something I do not want to make I already said that it is a company computer.

If there is someone who can help me solve this problem, I would be very grateful. Thank you for your time.

Then, you need Adobe Reader, the default application to open PDFs, instead of FireFox. I think that FireFox just started doing this, and it is causing some confusion.

As well as the normal way of Windows to change the default application, which is not also known as it should be, you should be able to use Adobe Reader. In Edit > Preferences in the General section and see if there is a button "select default PDF Manager."

  • Hairlines appear when you open a PDF file in PS 6.0

    Hello

Hairlines me really stressed. I know that they almost never print, but I always like to doublecheck by opening a PDF file I did through indesign, in photoshop. Normally this calm as the hairlines never appear.

BUT... they do in PS 6.0... Why is this? The same pdf open in 5.1 PS is no crack. PS 6.0 = HAIRLINES.

This seems to only happen when I did the PDF with Acrobat 4 (PDF 1.3) / PDF / X - 1a: 2001 settings - as I was told it is always safer to flatten transparencies... is this correct too?

Should I use a different compatibility?

Is there a way I can check my files once and for all for questions of hairlines before I send them off to print?

    Please help... Thank you!!

This is the flattening of transparency, which causes the hairlines to appear. Here's why:

    http://www.pfl.com/SWL

If you choose a compatibility Acrobat 5 or higher (no transparency flattening), then you will not see them.

Whether the flattening is required for your particular printer, this is what you need to ask them.

  • When you open a new window, Firefox 9.0.1 gives me a message "Go to a Web site" in the address bar, no matter which site I am for and does not display the URL I'm watching and the stop/reload button is grayed out. Is there a way to fix this?

I'm under Firefox 9.0.1 windows environment 7. It is a problem I've had with Firefox 8, so, even if it's only when I opened my home page, no new window.

I prefer the new window that looks at a display by tabs, and when I click on a link and a new browser window opens, all my base control (forward, back, stop/reload) buttons are gray except home.

  • When you open a PDF file, it automatically prints & switches to full screen mode

First of all, I apologize if it's in the category wrong forum - I couldn't find a category that corresponds to this number, something like 'implementation of the software.

I use Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on Windows 10.  The software works very well.

However, whenever I open a PDF file, the software automatically opens a dialogue box invites me to print the PDF file.  Usually I do not want to print the PDF and have quit the dialog box.  Second, once I left out of the print dialog box, the software invites me to indicate that if I want to put the document in view full screen, which usually I don't want to do and to get out of it, I have to leave another dialogue box.

I don't want to get out of these dialogs whenever I open a PDF file.  I just want to see the PDF file.  That's all.

How can I configure the software so that it does not prompt me for that?

First of all, even if works well, Acrobat 9 is not officially compatible with Windows 10, so some problems are to be expected.

However, the behavior that you describe is usually caused by a script or parameters incorporated into the files you open, not in the application itself.

  • When you open several image files in CC they float to the back, behind the current open files

When I work on an image or images (not Docked (fasteners) in PS CC on iMac OS x 10.9 Maverick, if I open a new file, it opens in the front.  The newly open file open hidden/behind the currently open files, and yet if I got to the drop down window it clearly shows the newly opened file is selected and the file I'm working on, even if its behind all images previously opened and I cannot see it entirely.  Hard to explain but everyone has found this question?   Its weird and awkward when working at full capacity.

    No idea what happened?

Can't say I've ever seen that happen before.
